Chapter 1
Sunlight filtered through the tiny crack between the two halves of the drapes, an angled beam that fell across the face of a sleeping goddess. At first, she simply tried to bury herself deeper into the person beside her to escape it. When that didn't work, she gave a small cry that was equal parts whine, sigh and growl, and opened one emerald eye. Staring at the offending scrap of cloth, it was suddenly wrenched over to meet it's twin and the light vanished.

The goddess smiled and sighed and snuggled back into the woman in front of her, while feeling the bed move. Her other lover, behind her, rolled over and spooned around her, then settled back into sleep and stillness.

Sighing again, the goddess closed her eye once more and effortlessly was asleep. Peace reigned once more.

Kennedy woke slowly, smiling as she nearly always did first thing in the morning to find herself surrounded by Willow's scent. It was an earthy smell, with a hint of strawberry shampoo and much subtler undertone that was simply Willow. Eyes still closed, she leaned forward and breathed deeply of her lover, savoring the feelings it aroused. Mostly, of simply being loved and being home, with, of course, lots of desire to never leave bed again!

Then the difference this morning registers to her still foggy brain and she frowns. Why was there a musky quality this morning that simply screams, "I'm incredibly sexy!"? That hadn't been there before, had it? They did kinda work together, but she'd never noticed before, had she?

The Slayer's mind finally snaps into focus and her memories of the last few days return. [Faith. Of course.] She smiles. [They do both smell good. Makes me wanna...] The brunette shivers and smiles as a fantasy plays out in her mind.

Sighing, Kennedy lets her dream image go, knowing a version of it will most likely happen before the day is over. Then she remembers that it's her and Faith's turn to patrol tonight. [Definitely gonna happen!] she thinks happily, brimming with anticipation.

She kisses the freckled shoulder in front of her, then raises up slightly to see the clock on Willow's night stand. After the third alarm clock she'd had to replace because of hitting the snooze bar with full Slayer strength, Willow had quietly put the fourth on her side of the bed. Of course, Kennedy grins as she realizes, if Faith is here to stay like we hope, we'll have to move the clock across the room.

Chuckling quietly, she sees it's nearly eleven. Deciding to surprise her girls with breakfast in bed, she kisses Willow's shoulder again, then Faith's hand where it's loosely draped on the waist of the redhead. Moving slowly, she slips from bed and grabs a pair of running shorts from the chair. Pulling them on, she crosses the room and starts to ease out the door.

Looking back, she sees Willow and Faith snuggled together, the witch's head tucked under Faith's chin. Kennedy's heart melts and she smiles as she quietly gets the camera and snaps two quick pictures. Returning the camera to the dresser, she silently leaves, heading for the kitchen.

==========BtVS===========BtVS==========BtVS==========

The small tremors on the bed as Kennedy gets up start Faith on her slow climb to consciousness, never an easy or fast trip for her. By the time Kennedy had taken the pictures and left, her body was nearly ready to let her wake up in earnest.

The dark Slayer starts to stretch, but stops when she feels an unaccustomed weight on her arm and lying against her. Opening her eyes, Faith looks directly into Willow's angelic face. Panic starts until everything from the last two days floods into her mind, then she smiles.

Pressing her lips to crimson locks, she thinks, [A girl could get used to this.]

Ending the kiss, she pulls her witch closer for a moment. Willow just takes a deep breath and snuggles into her, going deeper back into sleep. Faith looks over the redhead's shoulder, looking for Kennedy. Seeing the bed empty except for the two of them, she figures that's what woke her. Putting her head back on the pillow, she closes her eyes and waits for the brunette to return.

She dozes for a few more minutes, then opens her eyes again, growling softly. [Stupid bladder.]

Gently, she raises Willow's head enough to pull her arm out and replace it with a pillow. Faith eases from the bed, then turns and softly kisses her girl's forehead, once, twice. Straightening, she brushes a lock of hair behind her ear. With one last long look, the Slayer heads for the door.

After the quick detour, Faith head downstairs, looking for coffee, Kennedy and a little breakfast, not necessarily in that order. She smiles as she decides to grab some food for Willow too and surprise her. Coming into the kitchen, she smiles again seeing Kennedy scrambling some eggs in a bowl, then flipping a pancake.

"Great minds, huh, Brat?"

Kennedy looks toward the door and smiles. "Hey." She removes the finished pancake and pours another.

The smaller Slayer puts down the spatula, moves over to the door and takes her girlfriend in her arms. "Morning." She kisses the dark Slayer the same way they had the night before, slowly, sensually and quite thoroughly.

Neither Slayer notices someone coming from the tv room behind them until they hear the sound of shattering glass.

Chapter 2

Dawn stifles another yawn and tries, again, to focus on the history book in front of her. First, her sister keeps her out til all hours, then the early morning phone call wakes her way before she was ready. Now, even the glass of highly caffeinated iced tea she's sipping is failing to keep her awake.

Her head snapping up, she looks down and realizes she's just read the same paragraph for the third time. [I'm just gonna to have get a nap and try again later,] she thinks, closing her book. Raising her glass, she drains it, then hears voices coming from the kitchen. Smelling breakfast-y food, she figures it's just Willow or Kennedy finally getting up and eating. A little hungry herself, the teenager goes to see if she can steal a little of whatever has been cooked.

Shuffling toward the doorway between the dining room and kitchen, Dawn hears the muffled sound of a glass breaking. Darting over to the door, she sees Kennedy and Faith standing very close together and, beyond them, a very shocked Xander, glass shards at his feet.

Flashback, four hours ago

Breeeet! Breeeet! Breeeet!

Buffy groans and rolls over, trying to figure out what is bugging her now.

Breeeet! Breee-

The blonde sighs and starts to fall back to sleep, happy that whatever is was went away. Three quick knocks and her door opens. Buffy sits straight up and looks wildly around. "What!"

A bleary-eyed Dawn sticks her head in the room. "Buffy, it's Xander on the phone."

"Ok," she yawns. Nodding to Dawn, she picks up the phone. "Hey Xand. What time is it there? It's early here. What's up?"

She listens for a moment, then looks at her watch. "Uh, yeah, I can. Be there in about forty minutes or so. That ok? Good. See ya soon."

Buffy hangs up the phone and flops back onto the bed. After a moment, she knows she's awake now, so she stretches and gets up, heading for her bathroom. Ten minutes and some very hot water later, she's dressed and knocking on Dawn's door. Opening it, she looks in, smiling when she sees that her sister didn't even bother to get back under the covers. She looks like she just walked in and fell over. "Dawn." A groan. "Dawnie!"

The eye facing Buffy opens. "What?"

"I'm going to the the airport to get Xander. I'll be back in about an hour, if anyone needs me, ok?"

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Can I go back to sleep now?" she whines, not really hearing anything.

"If you have to." Buffy says, sounding exasperated, but grinning.

Dawn just growls at the blonde, closes her eye and turns her head away.

Buffy laughs quietly as she closes the door and heads down the hallway to the stairs. Out of mother instilled reflex, she checks the guest room to make sure Xander has somewhere to sleep, since Willow tends to use that room for spells sometimes. Finding everything fine, she goes to Willow and Kennedy's room to see if the redhead is awake yet, thinking Willow might want to tag along to get their old friend.

Knocking gently, Buffy doesn't get an answer, so she eases the door open a crack and whispers, "Willow? You awake?" Getting no response, she eases her face in the doorway. "Willow? Kennedy?" Still no answer, so she looks in.

[Oh, yeah. We need to talk.]

Inside, she finds the three women snuggled together. Kennedy and Faith are curled up on either side of Willow, heads pillowed on chest and shoulder, respectively, hands joined on the witch's stomach. Willow has an arm loosely around each Slayer.

Buffy silently backs out and closes the door. She stands thinking about the implications of what she just saw for a moment. Shaking her head suddenly, the oldest Slayer checks her watch and heads for the stairs. [One bit of insanity at a time,] she thinks, grabbing her bag and heading out the door.

Arriving at the airport twenty minutes later, she slowly drives in front of the terminal until she spots a familiar, one-eyed face. Parking the car in front of him, Buffy jumps out of the car and into his arms.

"Xander! Missed you!" She hugs him fiercely.

A look of pain flits across Xander's face "Uh, ow! Buff! I kinda need those ribs you're breaking." he jokes.

The blonde releases him immediately, looking abashed. "Sorry! Just happy to see you, dummy!" She surprises both of them by reaching up and quickly kissing his cheek.

Putting his fingers to his cheek, he smiles down at his favorite Slayer. "If that's the welcome I'm gonna get, I'll stay away more often!"

Buffy swats his arm, then quickly hugs him again before opening the trunk and helping load his stuff. They get in the car and start back toward the house. Buffy starts to bring him up to date on what's happened since he called last week, but his first words drive those thoughts away.

"So, Buff, your teaching skills still as good as they were in Sunnydale?"

She glances at him, confused, then back at the road. "What do you mean?"

He shrugs. "Giles wants to start sending new Slayers here a few at a time to get some on the hellmouth training. He was thinking you and Faith and Kennedy could watch over them and teach them what you know before sending them back to England for assignment. He said he was gonna call last night and talk to you about it. I'm guessing he didn't, from your face."

"Dawn, Vi and I left the house about 6 to get some dinner, then patrol. I think Willow and Kennedy were out fairly late themselves. There's probably a message on the machine for me to call him, but I haven't checked it yet."

Xander looks at the blonde. "Is it gonna be a problem?"

Buffy shakes her head. "Not for me. I'm sure Faith and Kennedy will be ok with it too." She suddenly smiles and chuckles. "Remember 'Drill Sargent Kennedy'?"

The carpenter laughs. "Yeah, she sure does love bossing people around." Xander gives his companion a sly glance. "Nearly as much as another Slayer I could name."

The Slayer feigns shock. "I know you're talking about Faith."

Xander smiles at her. "Faith. No. Hair's a little too dark. Person I'm thinking of has lighter hair, keeps dying on me. Temporarily, anyway."

"I'm sure I don't know this person." Buffy replies with dignity. She holds a straight face for a few seconds, til Xander breaks up, then laughs with him.

After a few minutes, they both calm down, and Buffy asks, "Not that I'm not happy to see you, but why didn't Giles come to help set this up?"

"Three reasons. One, he's incredibly busy getting the new council set up. There were actually more watchers that were not killed than he first thought. Trying to set up a council that'll actually be a help to the Slayer is proving to be a challenge. Most of the left overs have never had to watch over a Potential, let alone had a Slayer, so they think the council was fine like it was."

Buffy makes an "eww!" face. "Can I talk to them?"

Xander smirks. "I think he's planning to have you 'negotiate' with the really stubborn ones." His smirk turns to a smile as he looks over at her. "The second reason he sent me was to look at your house. He wants my professional opinion on whether we should expand it to include a proper training hall and a few extra bedrooms, or just get and adapt a new place."

"We might have to move?" she asks, sounding distraught. "I like where we are!"

The carpenter chuckles. "Don't worry. It's a last resort. I've already made a few sketches, based on memory, of course. I'll check out the real measurements and we should be fine. You might even end up with a bigger bedroom, if you're nice to me."

The blonde chuckles. "That might be nice. A bigger closet!" she says, excited. Then a thought occurs to her. "Would this rebuild of yours include extra bathrooms?"

Xander just laughs at her expression. "Hey, I remember the joys of thirty girls, two bathrooms! Planning on at least two more, so don't worry!"

The Slayer laughs along with him, also thinking about the last few days in Sunnydale. "I so don't wanna do that again!"

They ride along in silence for a few minutes before Buffy speaks again. "You said three reasons. What's the last one?"

Xander reaches over and gently squeezes her shoulder. "I missed you guys. Wanted to come home."

She smiles at him. "Uh, Xand? You do remember that home is a really big hole a few thousand miles west, don't you?"

"Home is where ever you, Dawnie and Willow are. You know, my family?" The two friends share a tender look. "Besides, I figured you could use some experienced help on patrol."

"Absolutely! I haven't had to save someone from being eaten in weeks! It'll be nice to practice that again."

"Hey!" He yells, smacking her arm. They look at each other and break up, continuing the ride home.

Pulling into the driveway, they see Vi running down the sidewalk. She and Xander exchange hellos as she goes by and he and Buffy get his things from the car and head inside.

As they enter the house, Dawn is just coming downstairs, still kinda out of it. She stops and stares for a second, before launching herself with a squeal of "Xander!"

Xander managed to drop his bags just in time to catch the armful of dark haired teenager and return her fierce hug [What is it with Summers women and bonecracking hugs?] he thinks. "Uh, Dawnie?" he croaks out. "Gonna need to breath again soon!"

The teen releases him quickly with a muffled, "Sorry!" and an embarrassed smile.

The man just smiles back at her. "S'ok. Missed you too." He hugs the girl again and brushes a kiss on her cheek before looking back at Buffy. "So, where am I staying?"

"Same room you were in before."

"Cool" He picks up his bags and starts for the stairs. Seeing Dawn about to protest, he tells her, "Hey, I'll be right back. Then you and me can sit down and you can catch me up on everything Cleveland, ok?"

"Cool. I'll be in the tv room."

Xander smiles and nods at her before following Buffy upstairs.

Buffy comes back down a few minutes later and heads over to her sister. "Dawnie, Xander's putting his stuff away. He asked me to tell you he'd be down in a little while. I've got some errands, so I'll be back in a couple hours, ok?"

"Sure Buffy. Have fun." The young girl never even looks up from her notebook.

The blonde turns to leave, but turns back. "Oh, grocery run this afternoon. Put anything you want on the list. Oh, and can you tell everyone else, including Xander the same thing?" A nod. "One more thing," she starts. "You were right. When Willow gets up, tell her we need to talk, ok?"

Dawn looks up from her notes confused. "What was I right about?"

"Don't worry about that now. Just tell Will, ok?"

"Sure, but what was it? You don't admit I'm right that often, I wanna know!"

"Gotta go!" Buffy heads for the door and leaves.

"Buffy! humpf!" Dawn grumps as the front door closes. She tries to think of anything she's said or done over the last few days to be right about, but comes up blank. [Oh well. I'll get it out of her when she gets back.] Sensing movement, she looks up and sees Xander come in.

The man smiles at her. "Hey Dawnster! So, what's the what? What've I missed?"

Dawn returns his smile and sets aside her homework to bring him up to date on everything Slayer Central related. After getting them both some iced tea, she asks about his visit. Xander tells the teen everything he told Buffy in the car.

"So, what do you think?"

"Wouldn't mind my own bathroom, if you can do it. Buffy and Willow have their own and if more girls are gonna show up, I so don't wanna share!"

Xander smiles at the teen. He remembers his own battles to get into the one at Casa Summers. "Well, Buff's kinda the 'Head of Household', as the tax people call her, and Willow and Kennedy are all couply, so they make sense too. I'll see what I can do, Dawnie, but no promises."

Dawn's smile brightens the room. "Great! You're the best! So what's up with Giles? How's England? Is Principal Wood coming back?"

Xander tells her everything that's happened to him and the others since they left, yawning a few times. "S-s-sorry, Dawnie. Didn't get much sleep last night. Anyway, Giles is hoping to come to visit and check things around Thanksgiving. Earlier, if he can get the new council in order, but he wanted to play is s-s-safe. Damn. Mind if we talk some more later? I really need a little nap."

Dawn shakes her head. "Hey, I understand. Buffy kept us out on patrol til three last night. Besides, I wanna get my homework done. Want to go out tonight. Why don't you just fall over on the couch and crash for a while? I'll head into the dining room to study."

"Sounds like a plan. Thanks, Dawnie." Xander smiles at the brunette once more, then spins in place and stretches out.

Dawn quietly gathers her things and more to the next room.

==========BtVS===========BtVS==========BtVS==========

The sound of feet on the stairs wakes Xander from his light doze. Looking around, he tries to place where the sound is coming from and looks up in time to see Faith go by the doorway, obviously headed for the kitchen. Sitting up on the sofa, he stretches, then stands, hearing voices down the hall. Picking up his glass, he heads for the kitchen to get a refill on the tea and maybe a light snack, his stomach still being on London time.

Rounding the corner, he stops dead as he sees a smiling Kennedy take Faith into her arms. He hears the younger Slayer say "Morning" to the older, then they share a lingering, passionate kiss. Not believing his eyes, he feels the glass slip from his fingers, but can do nothing to try to stop it from falling. When it shatters, the two girls jump back from each other and whirl around to see Xander staring at them.

No one notices Dawn appear in the dining room doorway.

Xander just stares for a full minute, thoughts racing before the anger starts. With it, comes the urge to defend his lifelong friend. He takes one step forward, glass crunching under his feet. "You!" He points a finger at Faith. "I knew you were lying with the whole 'Oh, I'm good now!' speech! All the time, just waiting to try to split the scoobies up again!"

He rounds on Kennedy, not giving Faith a chance to answer. "And YOU! Willow trusts you! Loves you! You said you loved her, but here you are cheating on her! And with Faith?!!"

Xander looks like he wants to say more, but finally just glares at both women for a moment before heading to the door and leaving.

Both Slayers start protesting, but stop when he leaves. Kennedy is seriously pissed that he thinks she would cheat on her everything, but also because of the insults to Faith. For her part, Faith growls and starts toward the carpenter, planning to thoroughly kick his ass at the implication that she isn't good enough for Willow, as well as the insults to Kennedy.

The dark Slayer feels Kennedy grab her arm, holding her back and rounds on her, baffled anger in her eyes. Kennedy stands her ground.

"You're barefoot and the hall's covered in glass!"

"So?!?"

Kennedy just glares back. "Do you really want to sit through the lecture Red'll give you for cutting your feet to ribbons on your way to kill her best friend?" Faith stares for a few seconds longer, then drops her eyes. "Didn't think so."

Neither woman has yet noticed a wide-eyed Dawn observing everything. Finally, the teen steps toward them, saying, "Uh, guys? What's going on? Why did Xander just try to tear the door down?"

Both Slayers look at her, then each other. "Well, Dawn, it's like this..." Kennedy begins.

Chapter 3

Dawn hears Xander screaming at the women in front of her, but the words don't really make sense. How could Kennedy have cheated on Willow? Faith was the only one here, and that... her thoughts stop as she thinks about the looks she's seen pass between Kennedy, Faith and Willow. She remembers telling Buffy about her idea, and her sister's denial that it could be. Then Buffy comes to her this morning and tells she was right, but won't tell her what she was right about.

When the teenager adds that all up, with what Xander said and the fact both Slayers are blushing nearly the color of Willow's hair... Dawn suddenly smiles as the pieces fall into place.

"Well, Dawn, it's like this..."

"You guys were kissing, weren't you? Total make out session? That's why Xander went so crazy!"

Faith blurts out, "No!"

As Kennedy says, "Well, kinda." The Slayers look at each other. Kennedy reaches up and cups the older girl's face. "Want me...?" Faith nods.

Dawn watches the tender exchange. "Are you guys in love? What about Willow? Is she in love with Faith? What's burning?"

Kennedy's eyes gets big, then she dives for the stove. Grabbing the griddle pan, she tossed the ruined pancake into the garbage can. Returning the pan to the stove, she pours the last of the batter into it, then turns to face the younger brunette.

"Dawn, I'll answer your questions, but I wanna finish this too, ok?"

"Can I have some bacon?"

Faith smiles at the teen. "You sure you're not a Slayer, Little D? You eat like us a lot of the time, you know!"

Kennedy laughs as the girl swats at her girl. "Let her eat. Growing girl and all that."

"Ok, then how do explain your appetite, Junior? Aren't you full grown yet?"

The smaller woman growls at her girlfriend, then smirks. "Don't worry, you'll get yours! Or, maybe not! Don't forget, we have patrol tonight. Like cold showers?" she asks sweetly.

Faith mock glares at her brunette. "You wouldn't dare! Even if you would, I'll make sure Red won't!"

Kennedy laughs, flipping the last of the pancakes. Looking back at Dawn, slowly chewing her bacon and avidly listening to their banter, she blushes slightly. Looking at Faith, she says, "Do me a favor, Baby?" A nod. "First, get some shoes on, then can you get the glass in the hallway cleaned up? I really don't want Will wandering down here and cutting herself. Thanks! Food'll be up in a few."

The young Slayer removes the pancake from the griddle and puts it in the sink. After getting a pan for the eggs and putting on the stove to heat up, she looks back at Dawn. "You've got questions?"

Dawn glances up the hall as Faith starts sweeping up glass, then back. "Are you two together? What about Willow?"

"Actually, it's closer to say are we three together, cause that's what's happening. Will, Faith and I have talked a lot over the last few days. The short story is Faith and Will have fallen in love." Kennedy checks the pan and pours the egg mixture into it, mixing it gently with a fork.

Dawn looks concerned. Willow is pretty much her sister, as far as she's concerned, but the young Slayer has become her friend. She doesn't want anything bad to happen to her. Worry in her tone, she asks, "What about you and Willow? You guys didn't break up, did you?"

Kennedy lays a hand on Dawn's for a second. "No, we didn't break up. Willow loves me as much as she ever has and I love her more than that. But, thanks for asking and worrying!"

Dawn blushes. "Well, hey. Your my friend, too. I don't like it when bad things happen to my friends." Kennedy smiles and turns back to finish her girls' breakfast. "You said Willow and Faith are in love, same as you and Willow?" The Slayer nods. "What about you and Faith? And does this mean you're a trio? No, wait. Can't use that word. Makes me think of the geeks in Sunnydale."

Kennedy pours the scrambled eggs into a bowl, then puts the pan in the sink. As she talks, she places everything she's cooked, plus plates, cups, utensils on a large tray. She set the juice, coffee and syrup beside the tray.

"Well Faith and I do love each other, but neither of us is sure if we're in love yet. On the other hand, we both want to make Willow happy, so that's enough for now. As far as are we a, I don't know, a triple, I guess, then yeah, we are. Right, tough girl?"

Faith dumps the glass shards in the garbage and puts the broom and mop away. "Is what right, K?"

"Dawnie wanted to know if the two of us and Willow were together. 'Triple' is the word we decided works."

Faith looks from one girl to the other. "Triple, huh?" She smiles at the thought. "Yeah, D, I guess that's right. Think one of us should track Patch down and straighten him out?"

Dawn smiles hugely. "Patch?! Love it!" She breaks up, and after a second, Kennedy joins her. Getting herself under control, the teen looks at the new lovers. "It better be me. From the sound of it, he's seriously pissed at the both of you."

Kennedy and Faith both nod. "That's probably a good idea. You didn't see his face." Kennedy adds.

"Ok, then I'll go find 'Patch'," a grin at Faith, who returns an innocent look, "You guys go feed Willow and tell her Xander's here. Probably better tell her what pissed him off, too."

"You take care of Xander, we'll take care of our girlfriend. Make sure he knows that Willow worked really hard to get the three of us together. Faith tried more than once to talk her out of it, but you know Will."

"Resolve face?"

Kennedy rolls her eyes. "Total resolve face, followed by a puppy-dog pout. She did everything but tie Faith up and leave her in the corner til she agreed with her." She looks over at her counterpart. "Though maybe after patrol..." the young Slayer leers at her girl. Faith just smiles while Dawn blushes.

"So don't want details!" the teen wails as she stands. "I'm going to look for Xander. Have fun with breakfast!" she calls over her shoulder.

Kennedy looks at Faith. "Xander really pissed me off with what he said about you. You ok?"

"Five by five, Junior." The younger girl just gives her a look that says 'I know better'. Faith grins. "Ok, maybe not, but I know he was just mad and really didn't mean it. What he said about you got to me, though. Part of the reason I was going after him."

The once rogue Slayer walks over and drapes her arms over the other woman's shoulders and presses her forehead to Kennedy's. "Look, Kenn, what he said hurt us both, but he was just tryin to protect Red. We can both understand that, right?"

"Yeah, we can." Kennedy smirks at her Slayer. "Stop being insightful! Wigs me out and makes me wonder if you're really my girlfriend!"

Faith smiles big. "Girlfriend? When'd that happen?"

"Last night. You do remember what happen after you got home, don't you? Didn't think I hit you that hard!"

"That little lovetap? B hits harder than you!"

Kennedy laughs as she picks up the tray and nods at the coffee, juice and syrup. Faith picks them up. "Lovetap, huh? Play your cards right, and I'll show you a real lovetap, later!"

"Think you got something to show me, Junior?"

"From the way you were screamin' my name the other night, yeah, I do!"

"You guys just caught me off guard. Just you wait..."

Their playful banter leads off up the stairs and toward their room.

Chapter 4

Dawn stopped as she reached the sidewalk, looking left, then right, trying to decide which way Xander would've gone. Thinking back to before he left, she remembered one of his favorite spots to think was a small park on the next street over. Figuring that that was as good a place as any to start, she jogged over toward it, cutting through the yard of a vacant house.

Nearing the park, she looks over toward a covered picnic area near the park's small pond. There's someone there, but, unsure, the teen waits until she's closer to call out to the figure. As she enters into the roofed area's shade, the man turns his head to the left and Dawn smiles as she sees he has a patch on.

"Hey." she calls quietly.

Xander turns enough to bring Dawn out of his blind spot. "Hey." His response is listless.

Dawn moves up and sits on his right. Without thinking, she drapes an arm around his shoulders. "Still mad?"

"Some. Mostly just confused, now. When did Will and Kennedy split up?"

"They didn't. She joined."

Xander stares at young girl for a moment before a little smile forms. "Cryptic much?" he asks, mimicking Willow.

Dawn giggles. "Willow and Kennedy are fine. After you left, I talked to Kenn and Faith about what you saw. Major lip lock, right?"

The man just nods, still a bit shocked by the sight.

"Well, from what Kenn tells me, Faith and Willow are in love with each other. She also said that she and Faith might be as well, but that the two of them were still working that out. Apparently, the three of them talked it out and are going to try a three way relationship."

Xander's face undergoes several expressions as all this is relayed to him. Suddenly, he smirks at his teenaged friend. "A threesome, huh? Any chance of getting a camera in there?"

Dawn blushes bright red and draws away from the man, punching him. "Xander!!"

Xander holds up his hands in surrender and Dawn sits back down. He sobers a bit, before continuing. "Still don't understand something. How can Willow be in love with both Kennedy and Faith? I can't imagine how to do that."

Dawn thinks for a moment. She smiles as a thought occurs to her. She can't believe she hadn't thought of it before now, but then, she'd never really had a reason to consider it this way. "Think about it like this. Willow never really stopped being in love with Tara, but she and Kennedy have been together for a little over a year, now. And you know those two were totally in love almost from the beginning."

"Yeah, but Tara's dead. I don't understand how she can be with two people at the same time. I mean, I get it if it's just a sex thing, but what I saw, what you're telling me, says that they're a, what? Couple, couple?" he finishes with a grin.

Dawn laughs at his goofy expression. "Kenn and Faith decided they like 'Triple'."

The carpenter is quiet for a few minutes. "So, why didn't you guys warn me about this? I kinda made an ass of myself." He pales a little. "Not to mention seriously pissed off two Slayers! So not good. Much apologizing to do, huh?"

"They were calmed down when I left, so I think you're safe. Definitely need to apologize, though, and you know Willow's gonna be mad when they tell her about this." Xander just groans and hides his face in his hands. "As for not telling you, it just happened."

At that, the man looks up and into his young companion's eyes, a question in his eye. Dawn shrugs. "I mean, I've been signs of a couple weeks, but apparently, they just got together in the last day or so. Not sure Buffy really knows what's going on. Just has an idea, but no details."

Xander chuckles. "You noticed signs?"

She lightly hits him again. "Hey! Remember, I'm like you. No one notices me unless they want something, so I see a lot without being seen. I starting seeing looks, smiles, touches, that sort of thing, going on between all three of them for the last couple weeks. Last week, Faith got hurt. We stitched her up and Willow and Kennedy volunteered to watch her during the night, in case she needed to go to the hospital. When Buffy and I checked on them the next morning, they were all snuggled up together. Buffy was all shocked and everything, but I really started wondering then. Everything kinda snapped into place this morning with you yelling and the two of them looking all guilty. So I asked, and they explained."

Xander just stares at the water while he digests this new info. Dawn just lets him think and watches some kids playing on the other side of the pond. She smiles unconsciously at their games, her deepest longing tugging at the back of her mind.

She was always the one, when she and Buffy were children, who liked playing the mommy to her dolls. Buffy had for a while, like a lot of little girls, but not like Dawn herself. She wanted to be a mother someday, maybe have a daughter she could name Joyce. Since her mother had died, it was a cherished dream. Someday, she'd find the man that was hers and they'd start the family she'd wanted for years. [Someday,] she thinks, wistfully.

Xander bumps Dawn's shoulder gently. "Hey, think we should head back so I can say I'm sorry?"

Dawn somehow smiles and blushes simultaneously. "Um, might better wait a while. Kennedy made breakfast for all three of them and she and Faith were heading up for a breakfast in bed thing with Willow when I left. You do remember what just Willow and Kennedy were like when she did that, don't you?"

Xander blushes, then grins. "Oh. Uh, yeah. Got a few hours to kill, huh?" Dawn just rolls her eyes and laughs. The man looks at his watch, frowns, then gently grabs her arm and looks at Dawn's watch.

Resetting the timepiece on his wrist, he asks, "Want some lunch? It's nearly 12:30. I'll buy, you pick the place."

The young woman smiles at him and jumps to her feet, dragging him with her. "Sounds like a plan! There's a great chinese place about a block and half from here and they have a lunch buffet. All you can eat!"

Xander laughs and grabs the girl's hand. "Lead on."

Chapter 5

Willow struggles toward consciousness, sensing something wasn't right around her. Rolling over, she feels for Kennedy, but can't find her, so she throws an arm behind to find more nothing. She was alone in the bed. Opening her eyes, she looks around the room for some sign of either of her lovers.

She smiles. [Still not used to the plural. Both mine, though!] Her smile becomes a grin, then a long sensual stretch. She becomes aware of noise in the hallway approaching her door and faces it expectantly.

"... so it was some other brown haired girl who was just laying there, screaming 'Oh God, yes!'? I seem to remember big brown eyes, no talking at all for a while, then lots of snoring. What was her name?"

The door opens and Kennedy leads the way into the room, heavily laden tray in her hands. Faith follows with her burdens. "Thought that was you, Brat! Besides, I don't snore." The Slayer replies with a smirk. Kennedy returns her smirk and they both look at Willow smiling at them.

Willow starts to get out of bed and come to them, but Faith gives her a pouty face to get her to stay put. Laughing and shaking her head, she comes over to Kennedy first. Taking the tray from her hands, the redhead places it on the bed, then she turns and pulls the younger girl into her arms. "Good morning," she says, then kisses her smaller Slayer before she can answer. Willow nips at her lover's bottom lip before sucking in between her own lips for a moment. Kennedy moans softly as her body starts to respond. Drawing back out of the kiss slightly, she begins kissing her witch, lips working against lips until both women break apart gasping.

Willow smiles and places another, far more chaste kiss on Kennedy's lips, then steps away from the girl. Turning to Faith, the wicca takes the things in her older Slayer's hands and gives them to her younger one. She looks at Faith, her eyes a darker green than normal as her body heats up. "Your turn. Morning, baby." Again, Willow doesn't wait for a response, just kisses the Slayer quickly and deeply. The witch uses her own tongue to draw Faith's out to play, then latches onto it and sucks it into her mouth.

Faith moans, louder than Kennedy did, as she brings her hands up to the redhead's waist. Sensing movement, she opens one eye and sees Kennedy put the stuff she's holding down and move behind Willow.

Now it's Willow's turn to moan as Kennedy begins to gently suck on an earlobe, hands moving to the witch's breasts, lightly brushing arousing nipples. The raven haired girl's own nipples have hardened and are boring into Willow's back. Moving a hand from the witch's chest, Kennedy removes Faith's hand from Willow's waist and places it where her own had been.

Willow and Faith's mouths separate, both panting for air. The older Slayer immediately leans in and takes the redhead's other earlobe between her lips, sucking and nibbling gently. Willow grabs for Faith, needing support as her knees go weak.

Through eyes that have become slits, Willow again notices all the food on the bed. Trying to organize thoughts, the witch says, "Uh, guys? Uh, Ooooooh! MMMmmmmmm! I was thinking, um... " She stops speaking and groans low in her throat as Faith leans down and lightly flicks her studded tongue across a cloth covered nipple. Trying again, she pants, "Guys, hold up a second."

Both Slayers stoop what they're doing and look at their girlfriend. Faith looks at her, worry in her eyes, and asks, "Something not right?"

Willow reaches up and cups the dark Slayers face and smiles. "Everything's great, sweetie!" A glance over her shoulder. "Both of you. Just thought your breakfast shouldn't go to waste, that's all."

Faith blushes, her worries banished again. "Oh. That. Ok."

Willow and Kennedy both giggle. Willow quickly kisses the Slayer in front of her, then turns and kisses Kennedy before stepping away from them both. The Slayers grin at the redhead, then Kennedy leans in and lightly kisses Faith.

As Willow picks up the tray and sits down on the bed, tray across her lap. Kennedy grabs the drinks and syrup from the dresser and moves them to Willow's nightstand, then joins her witch on the bed. Faith moves around and sits on the opposite side and starts dividing up plates and other hardware. The three girls divide up breakfast and start eating, with many smiles and much flirting as they eat.

Kennedy looks at Faith for a moment and catches the brunette's eye. [Can you hear me like Will does?]

Faith looks startled, but nods.

Kennedy grimaces. [Here we go, then.] Turning her eyes to her everything, her starts,"Thought I should tell you, Will. Sometime this morning Xander kinda appeared in the house."

Willow stops eating, a smile instantly forming on her beautiful face. "Xander's here? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She starts to set aside her plate and leave the bed again.

"Whoa! Slow down, Red! He went out with Little D. Might be a while before they get back."

"Yeah, she's right. From what Dawn said, he's gonna be here a while so, so no hurry. I think we have time to finish breakfast, ok?"

Willow's cheeks color lightly as she settles back and starts eating again. She looks from one of her girls to the other, then frowns. "Ok, what are you two not telling me? You both have something face."

"Uh, it's nothing, Will. All settled. Forget it."

"Uh huh." Willow's face settles into a familiar look. Both Slayers groan, knowing their doomed.

"Well..." Faith begins, "Xander may have, well, kinda saw something this morning that, um, sorta gave him a wiggins."

"And that would be?" Willow looks at both Slayers, then suddenly realizes what they're talking about. "He walked in on the two of you together, didn't he?"

Kennedy looks at her witch, a plea for understanding in her eyes. "We were only kissing! Faith came into the kitchen while I was cooking. We shared a good morning kiss and hug. He kinda came in around the middle."

Willow nodded, then frowned again. "He went all with the grrr, didn't he?" Both women look away. "What did he say?"

Faith now looks imploringly at her wicca, hoping she'll drop it. "It's not important, Red. D said she'd take care of it. You know she can, so why make you mad too?"

"What he said will make me mad? Faith, Kennedy, one of you just tell me. I promise, my imagination is lots worse. Right now, I'm thinking maim. Tell me something that'll get me to just kill him."

Kennedy sighs explosively. "Ok, fine. He accused me of cheating on you and said Faith was just faking being a good guy. A couple other things, but those are the highlights. I really think he was way too shocked and pissed to say much. Besides, we talked to Dawn. She understands what's going on and left to find Xander and pound some sense into him. See? It's covered."

Willow settles back onto the headboard, thinking about what her girls have told her. Absently, she picks up her last piece of bacon and chews it while she thinks. On one hand, she's happy Faith and Kennedy are connecting so thoroughly. She knows both women love her as much as she loves them, but was worried they were merely tolerating each other for her sake. If they were kissing and being affectionate without her there, she knows they can make this work. This thought makes her smile.

Xander, though. She completely understood what he did. He probably thought he was defending her, but he had still hurt her lovers. That was going to earn him a rather stern talking to, but a hug for caring too.

The redhead looks at her Slayers again. "Was Dawnie mad? I wanted to tell her and Buffy both so they would get all fussy with either of you, but I guess it doesn't matter. Was she mad?"

Faith chuckles and Kennedy laughs at the bout of proto-babble. "She wasn't mad, Red. Actually, we forget how smart she is. Figured it out for herself. Junior just answered her questions. She was five by five with everything, right K?"

"Yeah, she was after she made sure we hadn't broke up, Will. Seems happy for all of us."

Willow still has her worried face still on. "You're sure she wasn't freaked?"

"Yep. She was cooler than I was when you told me!" Faith tries to joke. Kennedy just rolls her eyes toward her Slayer, a 'that's so wrong' look on her face. Willow grimaces and swats her.

Kennedy smiles at their interplay, then tosses off he rest of her coffee. Placing the cup and her empty plate on the tray, she looks at Willow. "Finished sweetie?"

Willow nods and passes the brunette her plate. Kennedy takes the try and sets it on the dresser by the door. Turning back toward the bed, she gives her witch an evil smile starts toward her. Willow acts scared, even scooting to the far side of the bed, smiling the whole way.

Seeing that the redhead has forgotten she's there, Faith springs forward, grabbing her lover and rolling her back to the center of the bed. When they've stopped, Willow is straddling the Slayer, looking down at her with smoldering eyes. Leaning down, their lips meet in a passionate kiss, mouths moving, tongues dueling. Hands start to roam when they feel the bed sag slightly as Kennedy joins them.

Willow pulls away from Faith's kiss and turns to Kennedy, kissing her with equal ferocity. She moans as the dark Slayer beneath her slides her hands under Willow's night shirt, tracing patterns, tickling, caressing. Faith avoids the redhead's breasts, concentrating on touching her everywhere else.

Moving suddenly, Faith scoots back toward the head, giving herself enough room to sit up. She resumes her attack on her witch's neck, nuzzling, licking, kissing, lightly biting an earlobe. Her hands shift around to Willow's back and she starts the patterns again with a feather touch. Willow's moan are becoming louder.

"Goddess! Faith!" Willow wraps her arms around the Slayer as Faith licks along her jaw line, then captures her lips for a scorching kiss. Willow licks along Faith's lower lip, asking for access to the brunette's mouth. Then, as she feels Willow's tongue enter her mouth, Faith closes her lips and begins gently, but insistently sucking on it.

The dark Slayer releases her witch's tongue so they can breathe for a few seconds, then kisses her again. Breaking off the kiss, she starts planting little nibbly kisses down to the witch's collarbone, then licks up along her neck, pulse point to behind her ear and back. She moves her hands, still feather light, down and starts gently squeezing her ass, then moves back up.

Kennedy stands back for a moment, watching her girls make out, smiling at the moans coming from Willow. As she watches, she wonders at the changes her beautiful witch have brought about in her. Before meeting Willow, she'd always been a bit possessive, jealous when someone checked out the girl she was seeing. She knew that standing there and watching the woman she loves more than life moaning in the arms of another woman should have been driving her crazy, causing her to try to kill Faith. Yet, as she searched her heart and soul, there was nothing but love for both women.

Willow was, simply put, her everything. There was nothing the redhead could ask of her that she would refuse. She really thought of her Red as her soulmate, the one who completed her. She knew that everyone, including Willow thought of Tara as Willow's soulmate, and that was probably true. It simply didn't matter. The only way Kennedy would ever leave her Willow was if Willow herself asked her to.

Faith, she had started loving simply because Willow loved the other Slayer and had asked her to try. Since then, the young woman had found several things in her counterpart worth loving and feelings had rapidly developed. She knew that she loved the dark Slayer now just because Faith was who she was.

A loud groan from Willow snaps Kennedy out of thoughts. The redhead now has her hands under Faith's shirt, freely exploring and they are trading searing, urgent kisses. Smiling hugely, the young Slayer steps out of her shorts and boxers and pulls off her tank top, letting them all fall to the floor. Moving behind Willow, she begins pressing feathery kisses into her girl's neck, then whispers in her ear, "Am I the only one who's not overdressed?"

Willow breaks off her kiss to mumble, "Faith! C-clothes!"

Faith simply nods, raising her hands, taking her witch's night shirt with them. Willow tugs at Faith's shirt at the same time. The dark Slayer eases herself out from under Willow so she can loose her shorts.

As soon as she's clear, Kennedy rolls her girl onto her back and starts plants little licking kisses down her neck to her collarbone, then slowly down her body. The youngest of them flicks her tongue ring across one upthrust nipple and Willow arches her back so hard she nearly leaves the bed, a screaming moan escaping at the same time.

Faith drops her shorts to the floor, smiling in anticipation as she heads back to the bed and her lovers. Something beside the bed catches her attention just as Kennedy provokes an intense reaction, and her smile turns equal parts mischievous and lecherous as she reaches for it.
