Chapter 11
Everyone is gathered in the War room. Buffy and Faith have the newbie Slayers divided into two groups. They are going out to get some field time. For third time in the last three days Kennedy has had to watch her fellow Slayers prepare, leaving her out. The young Slayer looks to her redhead and Willow takes her hand.

Faith looks at the young Slayer and feels sorry for her and happy at the same time. To cover the emotions that others think are non- existent she says with a smirk, "Don't sweat it Junior-we won't miss you." When she sees the hurt in her fellow Slayer's eyes a twinge of guilt hits her. "Let's haul ass-" she says as she looks at her group. Dawn stops her by moving in front of her, their eyes meet. The once rogue Slayer whispers, "I didn't mean-"

"I know-you should tell her that," is her soft reply.

"Later-" she moves around her only to see the glare in Willow's eyes aimed at her as Kennedy walks out. The redhead follows.

"Be careful," says Dawn as she presses a soft kiss to her Slayer's lips. Faith simply nods.

Kennedy is standing in Emilee's room surrounded by baby things. Blankets, baby clothes and stuffed toys fill the area. The young mother-to-be holds a tiny jumper in her hands, just staring at it as Willow walks in and wraps her arms around her from behind and speaks softly, "Don't let Faith-"

Kennedy interrupts her words, "It's not that-" she forces a smile, "That's Faith being all I'm tough-that I know how to handle."

"So what don't you know how to handle?"

"The not slaying-" she says honestly. "It's harder than I thought."

"I get that-I mean not a Slayer obviously, but with the Magicks."

The redhead hesitates and then asks, "Do you want to talk to the doctor about it next week when we go for your appointment?"

Kennedy turns and their eyes meet, "Maybe-would you be mad?"

"Not mad, I'd worry but I wouldn't be mad." Willow pulls her into a hug and wraps her arms around her Slayer's neck. Soon their foreheads are resting together.

"My whole life I wanted to be a Slayer-I trained and waited then finally-but now---now there's Em and I don't know what I should do." Tears slip from the young Slayer's eyes.

Faith leads her group of newbie's through another cemetery, their third of the night. It was a slow night, well slow if they were in Sunnydale-maybe for Cleveland it was normal. After another dry run they decide to head home. Faith who is still beating herself up looks at her charges, within sight of the house she speaks, "I got something to do," she says. "Straight home," she finishes and looks at Rona- "See to it Rona."

"Right boss," answers the young Slayer.

Faith watches them go in from down the street then starts to walk again, she wanders the new town as her mind does the same. She finds herself in the middle of a cemetery-seems to be lots of those in Cleveland. She is thinking about her words to Kennedy, "Damn," she speaks out loud. Before she can continue to fuss at herself she feels the familiar tingleys jolt through her body. Immediately she assumes her fighting stance as she looks around, she spots two vampires moving her way. She smiles, "Picked a bad night to dance boys," she quips, her smirk returns as she is now in her element. The vamps attack and she throws punches and hits one with a front kick before vaulting to stake it, the dust hits the air. His buddy follows suit and he's blowing in the wind as well. As she turns with a smirk three more appear- "Bring the whole fraternity? --Sorry boys not into that--well okay once but..." she stops and the fighting starts again. Within seconds more dust and then five more vampires. "Shit!" She voices and then the talking stops, fighting taking the forefront. Punch, punch, front kick, punch-round house then stake, it continues one after the other until finally just one remain.

The vamp leers and then questions, "New in town?"

"Something like that-" she looks at the creature and then decides something she never has before, "Spread the word-Cleveland's gonna change-won't be very demon friendly from now on." The vampire eyes her unsure, but then runs while he has the chance.

At the house Dawn sees Rona and the other newbies trying to relieve the after slay hungries, but no Faith, "Where's Faith?"

"She said she had something to do," answers the teen before turning back to her food.

Dawn looks a bit worried, she turns to the door as it opens only to see her sister and the other young Slayers-but not hers. They move to get food as well before sitting down at a table. "Where's Faith?" Asks the blonde Slayer.

"Out," says Rona.

"Out?" Questions Buffy. She looks to her sister who simply shrugs.

Later the kitchen has cleared out some-most of the new Slayers have headed to their rooms or to the showers. Willow walks in with Kennedy, "Is there any food left or should I call for take out?"

"There's not much," answers Vi.

Kennedy opens a cabinet and gets out some cereal. Willow hands her a bowl, "Want me to fix it sweetie?"

"No," her tone is sharp and Willow looks unsure. "Sorry," says the young Slayer- "It's just-I'm not helpless, I can fix cereal."

"I'm sorry," says the redhead, "I just-" she stops and steps closer to her girl. Willow whispers in her ear. "I want to take care of you-" Kennedy smiles and her mood changes again.

As Willow kisses her neck she whispers back, "Always take care of me." She turns and their lips meet in a soft kiss.

Buffy and Dawn in unison say, "Aww-"

Willow rolls her eyes and Kennedy blushes surprisingly. However, before the real teasing can take place the door opens and a slightly banged up Faith walks in. Dawn looks worried, "Faith are you hurt?"

"Nah-" states the Slayer as Dawn moves towards her.

"What happened?" Asks the blonde Slayer.

"A little vamp party and I got to be the only Slayer with an invite."

"That's so not fair-we saw one vampire all night and Vi staked it."

"I apologized Buffy-" says the teenager.

Dawn touches a small cut on her cheek, "D-I'm okay," she says as her girlfriend still fusses over the minor injury. She pulls away slightly. "Dawnie-" Dawn moves her hand.

"Where was it?" Asks Buffy

"Scranton."

"It's inactive," says the Slayer.

"Somebody forgot to tell them that," contends Faith as she gets up to find food.

"You think there's more?" Asks the Slayer excitement showing.

"Maybe," she says, "But I dusted about ten."

Buffy stands and picks up her stake.

Vi stands and so does Rona, "Can we come too?" Buffy nods and they all head out the door.

Only Willow, Kennedy, Dawn and Faith remain at the table, the Slayers are eating. Kennedy smiles and Faith looks at her unsure, "What Brat?"

"Nothing-" smirks the young Slayer as she looks to Dawn.

"Shut up-" Faith rolls her eyes. The room is quiet, finally the once rogue Slayer speaks. "Brat-about before," their eyes meet.

"It's the past Faith-it's gone."

"So we're good?"

Willow smiles, "5x5 F-" she and Kennedy are holding hands.

"Let's leave'em alone," says Kennedy as she raises a playful eyebrow up and down. They laugh as they leave.

Faith and Dawn are now alone and the teenager moves to touch the cut again, "Are you really okay-or just being tough in front of everyone?"

"I'm fine D-" the Slayer's eyes drift closed as she touches her face again. Faith pulls away.

"Let me-" Dawn's resolve face makes an appearance.

"Not letting this go are you?" Dawn shakes her head. Faith turns so she can reach her better. The teenager gets disinfectant and cotton balls from the kit. When the liquid hits her skin Faith winces. "Shit!"

"Big baby," says Dawn with a smile.

"That'll cost you," warns the Slayer.

"Woo-Big Bad Slayer, so not scared of you," teases the younger woman.

"We'll see," she stands and backs Dawn against the counter. They kiss softly at first but it becomes more urgent.

"That's supposed to scare me?" Asks the teenager.

"Doesn't?" Asks Faith.

"So what are we waiting on?"

Faith backs away and Dawn takes her hand. They kiss again softly, as their lips begin to move together and the kiss heats up-the Slayer pulls away. "Let's ah-ah move this someplace a little more private."

"Like that idea," lips meet again and they start to leave lips not separating.

Willow and Kennedy are snuggled up together on the couch. The young Slayer is spooned around her redhead as they watch a movie. "You were bad-teasing Faith and Dawnie like that." Her fingers trace patterns on Kennedy's hand, as it rests on hr stomach.

"They deserved it," smiles Kennedy against her cheek. "You think they're-" she slips her hand to Willow's breast. "Or this?" Kennedy's lips find her redhead's pulse point as she turns Willow under her. The witch moans. Both hands and lips touch and taste driving her crazy.

"Don't know," moans Willow. "Don't care as long as we are." Their lips meet again and again as hands begin to explore.

In Faith's room Dawn has her Slayer pressed to the door kissing her. Faith reverses their positions. "Thought you wanted to talk," she asks as they break for air.

"Changed my mind," says Dawn.

"Good," admits the Slayer as they kiss again. Hands begin to caress on top of clothes and then under them. The kisses become more urgent, harder as Faith's hormones rage nearly out of control. Faith steps away and pulls her own shirt over her head. Dawn smiles, leans in and kisses her girl, then steps back removing her shirt as well. They move together to the bed, lips locked again. "What are you doing Dawnie?" Asks Faith her words strained as she tries to slow her breathing. Dawn simply smiles.

Kennedy and Willow are lost in each other as hands and lips touch and taste soft slick skin. The young Slayer on the verge of release arches against Will's fingers and cries out as she falls. Willow's lips move back up the body her fingers still moving but slower now as the redhead lets her Slayer relax before she starts the climb again. Finally lips meet, the rhythms match-as Kennedy moans.

Back in Faith's room they are in the middle of a heated make out session. Both are bare from the waist up and Dawn is trying her damnedest to remove even more. As they kiss and hands explore, the teenager begins to work the buttons on Faith's jeans. She gets the first two undone before the Slayer realizes it-Faith's hand touches hers, stopping it. "Dawnie-" she stops struggling for composure as her case of double H's burn out of control. Their eyes meet, chests heave trying to force air into lungs-the want and need in both are obvious. "No-" says the once dark Slayer.

"Faith-" starts the young Summers but she stops and just falls back onto the bed in frustration. "Damn-" she mutters.

Faith gets up slowly, her eyes on her half-naked girlfriend. She starts to speak but thinks better of it, not sure Dawn's ready to listen. She picks up her shirt and slips it on. She picks Dawn's up as well along with her bra as she looks at her lying on the bed her eyes now closed. She sits next to her and runs her hand across her shoulder, D's eyes open. The teenager sits up and sees the shirt and Faith's covered body-she slips hers on as well dropping the bra onto the bed. She forces a smile and Faith smiles relived. "Still wanna talk?" Asks the Slayer.

"This second?" Faith nods. "Not so much-no." She leans in and they kiss again. It doesn't take long for things to get intense again as tongues duel.

The young Slayer and her redhead are sleeping tangled together. Willow's head rests on Kennedy's stomach, as her eyes slowly open she smiles. She raises her eyes and looks at her girlfriend. Her fingers touch the toned, bare, stomach then she replaces them with her lips. She thinks about the baby growing there-her baby and she smiles even more. "Hey Em-it's Mommy," she says softly, her smiles growing again.

Willow feels a hand in her hair and she looks up and into the chocolate eyes of her Slayer, "Doing?" Her voice tired, sleep still in charge of her words and actions.

"Talking to our girl," says the redhead and Kennedy smiles. Willow crawls up her body and wraps her in her arms.

They kiss softly, "Is it morning?"

"Nah-sleep."

"K-" her eyes close as she tightens her arms around her witch.

Faith and Dawn are spooned together, the Slayer's arms hold the teen. "We both want-" says Dawn. "So why are we not?" She turns in Faith's arms and listens intently as she tries to find the words to explain.

"Dawnie-I want it to be special. It should be cause-it just should be." Faith looks into the girl's eyes.

"I don't need some fancy smancy romantic thing," Dawn tries to get her Slayer to understand and believe her words. "I don't-"

"Maybe not now, but-" starts Faith.

"Not ever," Dawn assures. "I just want you and me, together- that's all."

Faith turns away and Dawn spoons around her. She rests her face on the Slayer's shoulder. The teenager whispers, "What are you thinking right now?"

"Not worth the words," she says and Dawn can hear the wavier in her words and knows tears are close.

"Then I'll just hold you," she pulls her tighter and can fill a slight tremble in Faith's body. "Shhh-it's okay."

"Dawnie-it shouldn't be me-" she finally speaks the words she hidden since the start. "You deserve better." Dawn turns her and their eyes meet again. "I'll hurt you-let you down-" she tries to turn away but Dawn stops her with a hand on her cheek.

"That's not true-you don't know any of that."

"I always do-"

"The old you-maybe, but you're new and improved," teases Dawn and she gets an actual smile from her Slayer. "I trust you-" she presses a kiss to her lips.

Faith whispers, "I'm not sure that's a good idea."

"Not listening." Her resolve face in place.

"But I-"

"Lalalalalalalalalal-" she smiles as she presses her lips to Faith's shoulder.

"You're such a brat-" says the Slayer as she turns and looks at her girl.

"Brat-no she's in the room down the hall." Then a pausing beat, "Probably having sex-sooo not me." She smiles. Faith begins to tickle her and she laughs.

They are all in the war room the next day. Buffy is talking and the others listen. "I thought checking out the area in the daylight and getting familiar with it could help with the fighting at night."

"So same groups as last night?" Asks Faith.

"With a few exceptions," says Buffy. "Giles and Xander are going with me-you've got Willow, Kennedy, and Dawn."

"I get to go? -Cool," she smiles.

Buffy looks at her, "Stay close to Faith."

"That's so not a problem," the teenager smiles at her sister. Buffy just rolls her eyes as they leave.

Faith looks to Willow and Kennedy, "Sure about this Junior?"

Willow answers, "It's daylight."

"She could get hurt-"

"Hey- standing right here."

"Sorry Brat-just want-" she stops. "Let's get going."

A little later as they approach the area from a few nights before Faith's group stops as she and Kennedy both sense something at the same time. They look around the area, scanning all sides. "Something's not right," says the young Slayer.

"I feel it too Junior."

Willow moves closer to her Slayer, her instinct to protect showing its self. "It's strong," she mumbles, but before Willow can continue they see an army of 20 or more vampires in full game face.

"How the hell-" Kennedy starts...

And Faith finishes, "It's fucking daylight."

"They can't be in daylight," says the redhead.

Dawn looks at her friends, "Maybe they didn't get the memo." Faith moves closer to her girl, then looks to Willow and Kennedy.

Rona looks around and then says, "This is so not good-right?"

Kennedy gets a determined look on her face, then loads and aims her crossbow. She shoots and hits her target, they breath a sigh of relief when the vampire turns to dust, Kennedy smiles her cocky smile, "See dust like all the rest." She continues, "How bad could it be?"

About 10 more show up, "You just had to ask didn't you Brat-" says the once dark Slayer. Those around her pull out stakes as she gives orders. "Work in pairs, don't get separated. Dawnie-stay close to Red. Junior you're with me."

"I got your back-" says Kennedy.

The fighting starts. The vampires dust and as they do more replace them from the cemetery's center.

"How do they do that?" Asks the older Slayer.

"Gotta be magic-" says Kennedy as the each take out a vamp.

Willow watches, her eyes constantly moving. She sees two new Slayers trapped by the undead against a crypt. Dawn sees them too. Willow raises her hand and speaks in Latin as she does a blast travels through her and knocks the demons to the ground. The Slayers are then able to stake them.

More vamps show up and Kennedy talks to her girl, their connection story. 'Will-we need some reinforcements.'

Seconds later Faith is there too, "Tell B we got real problems."

The redhead concentrates and her mind travels, 'Buffy-' she says softly.

Kennedy is watching her witch and not her surroundings, she is rewarded with a stiff kick to the face that knocks her to the ground. "Kennedy," screams Willow. She and Faith starts toward her Slayer and the Slayer reaches her first.

"Junior-you okay?" Asks Faith as she helps her to her feet.

"Yeah-" she tries to shake her head clear. "You kick harder-"

"Really?" Faith smiles.

All three start back into the fight but stop cold when they hear Dawn scream. Faith looks around, "Dawnie-" she calls. Faith sees her first and takes off for her in a dead run-her Slayer strength raging through her veins. Dawn is surrounded by a group of 4 vampires. A fifth in the center of them smirks at as he lowers his fangs to the neck. "Don't touch her-" The vamp tightens his grip on Dawn's neck and the teenager panics knowing what he is going to do. He leans down to bite her-and Faith sees his face. "Damn-knew I should have killed you-not walking away from this one," her words are menacing.

"Neither is she," he quips as her bites into her neck-Faith stands motionless unable to move.

"Faith-help me," screams the teenager.

Chapter 12
Without thought or words-just action Faith launches an attack on the vampires in the outer ring. She takes them out one by one-quick, deadly moves as they are staked and then merely dust. As others try to join those surrounding Dawn the Slayers stop their progress.

Faith reaches the monster that has her girl and he pulls his fangs from her to meet the glare of the pissed off Slayer. The creature smiles, "this one's important to you-"

"Let her go-"

"Watch her die-" he retorts. As he lowers his fangs to her neck again Faith lunges at him-before she reaches him there is a cloud of dust where he stood.

When the dust settles she sees Willow with her Slayer's crossbow. Heart still racing she catches the girl before she can fall. "I got you-" she holds her tightly. "Shit-" she sees the blood. "It's bad-the blood-"

"It's not bad-" says Dawnie- "It's my neck I should know." Faith pulls off her tank and presses the cloth to the wound. Dawn smiles and whispers. "Hot sweaty Faith-ummm."

"Shut up-" says her Slayer playfully, as she finally relaxes. She rolls her eyes and then looks at Willow who is now at their side. "Stay with her Red?" The witch nods. The Slayer kisses her girlfriend and jumps back into the fray as Buffy and the others arrive.

At the house Willow is cleaning Dawn's injury. The teenager whines when she puts the antiseptic on the bite. "It stings."

"Red you're hurting her-" says the once rogue Slayer.

"I'm not," assure the redhead, "she just being a big baby."

Faith and Buffy both watch nervously. "You think we should take her to the hospital?" Asks her sister.

"Hospital?" Dawn's eyes go wide. "No-It's nothing a couple of band-aids won't fix-promise," says the teenager.

Faith and Buffy begin their own conversation, "The hospital isn't a bad idea-she lost a lot of blood."

"I so didn't-" Dawn fidgets around making it harder for the redhead to treat her.

Willow rolls her eyes, "You two are making me all crazy with the crowdy." She looks at the Slayers- "Out-" she points to the door as she puts on her resolve face.

Buffy glares, "Fine-"

"But I'll be back-" they leave.

In the hallway Faith looks nervously at the older Slayer, "I'm sorry B-"

Buffy looks at her unsure, "Sorry?"

"Shouldn't have let her get hurt-"

"You let her? Just what-you held her up and said her she is come snack?" Buffy shakes her head, "She got hurt-it happens. It's not your fault."

"It feels that way-" says Faith.

Buffy smiles, "You love her-it's suppose to."

Faith looks unsure actually almost blushes. She pushes it away after a brief instant and replaces it with a scowl. She starts back to the kitchen, "Where you going? Will said-"

"She can't tell me what to do-" she leaves.

In the kitchen Willow puts the last of the band-aids on and leaves her with Faith. Dawn sits on the counter and Faith stands in front of her. Faith looks down, "Hey-" Dawn raises her Slayer's face. "Don't even." She pulls her closer and then wraps her legs around the Slayer's waist. Faith gasps slightly working to fight the H's. "This is so not your fault."

"Maybe not-" she concedes as the teenager kisses her.

Faith pulls back before it can become more, "Look, I'm gonna shower and get rid of some vamp dust."

"Okay-" says Dawn as her hand finds its way into Faith and she pulls her into another kiss. This one is more passionate and Faith moans. "But after-my room-promise?"

"Yeah-I can do that," she takes her hands and removes Dawn's legs from around her. "Rest." Dawn nods as she watches her Slayer leave.

Willow finds Kennedy in the backyard sitting in a swing. "I thought you might be hungry," she smiles as she sits next to her handing her the sandwich.

"Thanks," she takes a bite. "I've been thinking."

"About?" Their hands join.

"The slaying."

"And?" Asks the redhead.

"Today was suppose to be safe-daylight- but it wasn't," says the worried mother-to-be.

"And Giles is already on it by the way," says Willow.

"Not the point," Kennedy shakes her head.

"What is?"

Kennedy looks into her girl's eyes, "I can't do it-the slaying," she looks sad, "but I can't not do it either. So confused-Will-"

"Decisions are hard-" offers the redhead.

"Really," Kennedy rolls her eyes and grins as she leans against the redhead, "hadn't noticed."

Willow kisses her and smiles, "Why don't we do this-" she thinks about her words before continuing. "You do the training classes and help with the research."

Kennedy makes a face, "I hate research."

"But, you'd be with me," the witch smiles.

"That makes it better, but I still don't like it. The young Slayer and mother-to-be pouts.

"We'll make it fun," challenges Willow.

"How can books be fun?"

"You'll see-oh and you could enroll in summer school and graduate before the baby is here," her words are excited.

Kennedy can't help but smile too as her inner the brat rolls her eyes. "I could," she concedes, "It wouldn't be too horrible."

Willow smiles and kisses her lips chastely. "Good-finish your snack and your water," she brings the bottle out of no where.

"Magic-?" She raises and eyebrow.

"Just a little," she smiles, "Drink-"

"And if I do?"

"There could be a surprise," she bites her bottom lip and smiles coyly.

Dawn sets a tray of food on the table beside the couch and turns on some music-she flips through her selection and chooses one of her favorites. She turns it up a little and then smiles as she picks up her borrowed sleepwear and heads towards the bathroom.

A few minutes later there is a knock at her door and she emerges from the bathroom wearing Faith's boxers and tank. She smiles as she opens the door and then blushes slightly as she feels Faith's eyes devour her. "Told you I wasn't giving them back-" she smirks.

"They look good on you-so-don't want'em back."

Dawn smiles and looks at her Slayer. Faith is wearing her usual tank top but instead of jeans or leather she has on a pair of pajama pants. The teenager pulls her inside and closes the door, kissing softly-teasingly she asks. "Hungry?"

The Slayer gulps noticeably and can't force words out. When Dawn kisses her again she wraps the teen tightly in her arms, "Yeah-always," she is finally able to whisper. They walk hand-in-hand to the couch and sit. For the first time Faith sees the food. "All part of the after slaying double H's-" she stops.

But dawn smirks again as she finishes it, "Hungry and horny?" She meets her Slayer's eyes and sees the need there.

"I've been so set up," says Faith.

Dawn confesses, "Kinda the plan-" she kisses her again. "Okay?"

Faith simply leans in and the kiss intensifies. Their lips open and close together and soon tongues come out to play. As Dawn sucks on her girl's tongue the Slayer moans loudly. "Dawnie-" she starts to protest.

"Dance with me-" says the younger woman. She stands and takes her girl's hand. Faith rolls her eyes knowing that if she truly wants this to stop now is the time. She takes Dawn's hand and stands.

"Gonna tell me this plan of yours?"

"Gonna show you," they dance together staring into each other's eyes.

Faith touches her neck-her fingers tracing the band-aids, "You should rest," she says softly as they dance together.

"I'm okay-" says the teen.

Faith stares into her eyes she notices the paleness of the girl, "Come on-lay down a while."

"You'll stay and hold me?"

"That's the plan," says Faith with a soft kiss.

"Liked my plan better," she says with a small pout as Faith leads her to the bed and they snuggle in together.

Faith wraps her arms around her girl and kisses her shoulder, "Sleep-"

"Not sleeping," whines the teenager.

"Then just rest-close your eyes." Dawn does as she's asked.

Later Faith is still holding Dawn who is now facing her. The Slayer watches the girl sleep. She touches her face as she thinks about the events of the day. She almost lost her-the image of fear in Dawn's face still fill her mind. She presses a kiss to her forehead and whispers, "I love you-"

Dawn's eyes open and she smiles at her Slayer. "Morning," smiles the teenager.

"Not quite D-" she smiles, "You just had a little nap."

"So we could still-" she smirks as she traces a finger down Faith's arm and then back up to her lip. Faith kisses it.

"You don't give up do you?"

"Not usually-Summers' women-stubborn," she smiles as she crawls and pushes Faith onto her back and leans over her.

"Knew that-" she says as she feels hands tease her body. "We shouldn't-" she tries.

"We should and we are-" says Dawn as Faith raises an eyebrow.

"What makes you think so?" Her words are uncertain.

"Cause I'm not gonna play fair-I'm gonna pull the guilt card."

"You lost me-" the Slayer says confused.

"I could have today-and you almost did. The losing-"

"D-" Faith looks sad for an instant.

"Just listen," she kisses her lips. "I love you."

"I know and I love you, I do."

Dawn's hands caress the Slayer's body. She leans down and whispers in her ear. "I want you," her lips find the lobe and she nibbles there playfully. Faith's body, still filled with the energy from the slaying, hums.

"Dawnie-" she moans.

Dawn kisses her neck, then licks from the base to the ear and back down before bringing the skin between her teeth. "I need you," she says.

"Driving me crazy-D-" her eyes closing. "Can't think-" her hands begin to roam the teenager's body. Dawn's hands continue to caress Faith's body. She slips her hands under the shirt to smooth skin and teases there. "Shouldn't-," the Slayer forces out as she tries to stand her ground.

"So should," smiles Dawn. As they kiss their lips move together, tongues explore. Faith again pulls away.

The original group of Scoobies stands in the library talking about the food. Kennedy is with them was well. Buffy looks at Giles, "Since when do vampires walk in daylight?"

"Definitely not normal vamp behavior," adds Kennedy.

"Can't get anything past you," teases Xander with a smile. She glares at him and then smiles.

"Willow," Giles starts, "could it be a spell of some sort?"

"A spell-I guess, I mean it could. But the magicks would have to be-you'd need lots of power," she finishes but then adds as an after thought. "I didn't feel anything like that."

"Feel?" Asks Kennedy and Willow simply nods. "That's kinda cool-is it like the tingles I get with the vampires?"

"Maybe-I don't know how your tingles feel Sweetie." She thinks, well doesn't think actually, and speaks again, "It's like when we-" she looks around at the others. "Okay," blushing- "I'm stopping now." She sees Kennedy's smirk. "You-you're not helping."

She pouts at her Slayer who pulls her into a hug but the redhead can't help but smile as she hears her girl's whispered words, "Oh-I'll help later-promise." She kisses her neck.

Giles clears his throat and cleans his glasses the other smile. "Back to the vampires not becoming dust in the sunlight if we may please."

"Of course-sure," babbles an embarrassed Willow.

"So, not a spell-then what-a new breed?"

"Someone made them that way?" Questions Xander.

"A really bad someone," adds Buffy.

"Imagine a Big Bad on the Hellmouth," quips Giles surprising them all with his joking. They smile at the Watcher.

"What's the plan?" Asks Xander.

"Research," he states plainly. "Willow try the computer-and Kennedy maybe the same."

"I'm on it," says the young Slayer.

"Xander, Buffy and I will start with the old texts on vampires."

"Goody-" pouts Buffy. "Hey where's Faith she should have to do this too-" she complains.

"She didn't answer her phone," says Xander. "I just figured she's with Dawnie."

"With Dawnie? No-she's been slaying so she wouldn't be-cause well-just," she stops and the others smile knowing she is implying the H's. "She's in the shower or something."

"Shower-right," he pulls her into a hug and looks over his shoulder at Willow and rolls his eyes. The redhead smiles.

In Dawn's room she and her Slayer are tangled together. The only clothes now separating them are Dawn's boxers and Faith's pajama pants. The Slayer kisses down her girl's body-lips against the soft skin of her neck and then they move to her shoulder, and finally to the valley between her breasts. Her hand teases at one breast while her tongue starts to travel in slight circles around the other. Dawn moans and arches, trying to create more contact. Faith smiles at her girl beneath her. She takes the peak into her mouth and suckles gently. She is rewarded with another moan, this one even louder more needy. As she increases the pressure Dawn cries out, "Faith-" the one word sends tingles through the Slayer's body. Her fingers trail down to the band of the boxers and then slightly inside. "Please-" begs Dawn. Faith looks at her girlfriend, she sees her eyes tightly closed, her face flushed, her chest heaving- "Please," says her girl again.

"Beautiful," whispers the Slayer as she is suddenly at Dawn's ear, with her body settled between her legs. "I love you-" she breathes out. She presses kisses to Dawn's lips again, hard, deep as her hands seem to touch everywhere at once. She presses her leg against Dawn's center and they both cry out the moans caught by attached lips. Faith's fingers finally make contact with soft curls as she moves slightly to pull the boxers off. Faith licks your lips involuntarily and she forces her body to calm and her words to be soft, "Look at me D-" she waits for eyes to open and is taken aback by the trust and love she sees there. She raises up on her elbows as their eyes lock. Faith's hands move of their own accord-they caress smooth skin at her sides-her hips-while the other hand stays still in the curls.

Dawn's eyes drift closed again the sensations racing through her. She forces them to open and says simply, "Don't stop-"

Faith smiles a little nervous, "You're sure?"

"Yes-" she leans till their lips touch. "Make love to me." She sees fear cross the face of her girl, "Faith you okay?"

"Yeah-it's just-" she kisses her softly. "I've never done that before-" Dawn raises a confused eyebrow. "Lots of sex-just never-"

"Made love?" Faith nods. "Then it'll be a first for both of us," she smiles as she touches Faith's cheek. The teenager's hands move to the waist of the pajama pants Faith has on.

Faith smirks the confidence returning, "Sure about that D-nothing on under there."

Dawn fights away a blush, "Good-less time we gotta waste." She pulls them off slowly. She smiles as more of her Slayer is revealed.

In the library the stack of books on the table grows. At the computer Willow looks frustrated and Kennedy looks bored. She pecks at the keys and nods as Willow says something. "Grrrr-" she pouts. "I'll try it."

In Dawn's room the heat is definitely rising. Lips and hands kiss and caress as the Slayer pleasures her girl. As Faith's lips move from one peak to the other Dawn writhes under her. She kisses down the toned body fingers follow teasingly. Dawn moans, "Like that D-" she asks with a smile. "What about this?" She asks with a smile as she kisses her belly button, dipping her tongue inside.

"Faith-" she cries out, "Please I need-" she stops unable to continue. Her body is on fire and her hands caress the Slayer's back and shoulders as she moves lower still.

Faith takes a calming breath of her own as she lies her head on Dawn's hip, then turns slightly placing a kiss there. She slides her hand down and again rests it in soft curls. She begins a slow teasing exploration of slick folds and smiles as she holds the girl down when she starts to arch into the Slayer's touch. "Not yet-" she says softly.

"Damn-" swears Dawn.

"You okay D-" she smiles knowingly. She continues her exploration and Dawn cries out again as Faith exerts gentle pressure to her clit with her thumb.

She curses again, "Shit-" she feels her body begin to tremble. Her breathing rate starts to increase as Faith continues to push her closer. "Faith-just-please-" She arches as she feels slight pressure then a bit of pain and her lover is inside.

Faith steadies her own body as she is also on edge, the slaying and now the feel of her girl beneath her is nearly all she needs to find release as well. "Dawnie-"

"If you-you say we're stop-stopping now-I swear to god I'll kill you." She raises her hips and Faith slips deeper.

Without words the Slayer starts a slow steady movement. As she moves in and out and back again she places soft kisses on Dawn's hip and stomach. She looks up and watches the expressions change on her girlfriend's face. She moves slowly up Dawn's body kissing and nipping along the way. When she reaches her lips she initiates a sensual kiss, soon their tongues match the rhythm of Faith's fingers.

Finally Faith breaks the kiss, she moves to lick and nip at her girl's neck. She smiles against her as she can feel slight squeeze against her finger and Dawn cries out again her orgasm starting. Faith puts all of her attention on her finger and as she moves faster.

Dawn's body begins to shake as her release crashes through her, "Faith-" she screams as jolt after jolt rips through her.

The Slayer smiles and kisses her gently as they ride it out together. She slowly begins to remove her finger and Dawn's breath catches. She kisses her and holds her tightly. "Okay?"

Dawn struggles to slow her breathing enough to speak. Her eyes meet Faith's and she smiles, with a gentle caress she touches her Slayer's face. "So much better than okay?"

"Yeah?" Faith smiles and kisses her on the cheek.

"Yeah-that was-wow," she smiles but her eyes close.

Faith kisses her neck as she snuggles against her girl, "Tired?"

"A little," she admits as she slides her hand across the Slayer's bare back and Faith shivers.

"Sleep," she says softly though her body screams for anything but.

"But you haven't-" she starts as her hand again teases Faith's body.

"Don't worry about me-sleep." She presses a kiss to Dawn's chest.

"Just for a minute," she pulls Faith tighter as she fights to keep her eyes open. "If you're sure."

"I'm sure," says Faith and Dawnie's eyes close. Faith smiles and her mind asks as her body rages with need. 'What the hell were you thinking?'

Buffy, Xander and Giles are researching. There are stacks of books now on the table but none have helped them answer their questions. Willow and Kennedy are at the computers, "This is boring," whines the young Slayer as she whispers in her girl's ear. Willow swats at her playfully. "It is," she says in her normal voice.

After a few more minutes Kennedy speaks again as she stands. "In the Blade movies, they were called Day Walkers. Did you try that?"

"This is not a movie," states Giles.

Kennedy rolls her eyes, but smiles as Xander adds, "That's what they were called in the comic books too."

"Are the two of you suggesting that nerds are trying to take over the world again?" Asks Buffy- "Cause it's starting to sound like a conversation with Andrew."

"Just try it-" says Kennedy. Willow shrugs and types in the words Day Walker as Giles picks up another book.

"Unbelievable," mutters the redhead as the screen fills with lists and lists of information.

"See," smiles the teenaged Slayer. She moves to sand behind her redhead.

"The legend of Vlad-" starts Willow but Giles interrupts as her reads from a book.

"From the line of the Impaler will come a man. A man among demons-and through him the light will fall away-no longer an enemy." They all look to the Watcher as his words continue.

In Dawn's room the teenager still sleeps and a very worked up Faith is trying to wait it out. She talks to herself, 'Think about anything else,' she tries. She turns slightly and sees the naked girl. She forces a smile. 'That makes it easy.' She rolls her eyes and then smiles. She starts to get up, careful not to wake her sleeping lover. 'Lover,' she thinks and her smile broadens. She leaves the bed and goes into the bathroom. Turning on the shower and getting the water just right she smirks, "Nothing wrong with taking things into my own hands."

In the library, Willow looks at Kennedy and notices that she is a little pale. "Need a break Sweetie?" Asks the redhead a little worried.

Kennedy nods, "A little air," she stands and Willow stands with her. She looks at Giles.

The man looks at the pair, "We'll be fine," he says a little concerned as well.

They walk toward the kitchen, Willow's arm circles her girl's waist. "Sit and I'll get you some ginger ale and a few crackers."

Kennedy sits without argument and closes her eyes trying to stop the nausea she feels fast approaching. "I hate this."

Willow walks back to her and sits beside her. She holds the drink out to her. "I know-" she presses a kiss to her temple as her Slayer opens her eyes. "Take a little sip." Kennedy does and then begins to nibble on a few crackers.

In Dawn's room the shower is running as the sleepy teen opens her eyes. She sees Faith is gone and is confused. She looks toward the noise and realizes it is the shower. She smiles and bites her bottom lip. She slips out of bed and walks across the room. She opens the bathroom door and then closes it as she goes inside. She smiles when she hears a soft moan.

In the kitchen Kennedy finishes the last cracker, "Better?" Asks her redhead.

"A little."

"Want to walk and get some fresh air?"

"Maybe-might help." Kennedy stands and Willow stands as well. They go out the back door arm-in-arm.

In Dawn's bathroom the young woman slowly slides the shower door open and slips in behind her Slayer. She steps forward and puts her arms around Faith from behind. "Need a hand?" She whispers in her ear. Shocked the Slayer's hand stills.

"D-" she stops unable to speak as she feels tentative hands cup her breasts, "Shit" she moans as she bites her lip. Her head drops forward. Dawn moves closer still and plants soft kisses on her neck as her hands continue to massage. "Fuck-" she moans as one of Dawn's hand moves lower.

"Don't like that word," she kisses her shoulder and moves her hand lower still.

"Won't say it again," she pants out as Dawn's fingers begin to play in her curls. Faith turns her head slightly and they kiss. When they break for air Faith moans loudly as Dawn's fingers tease her clit. "Trying to kill me?" She asks.

"Not the plan," she answers. She smiles as she continues to tease. She presses the tense bundle of nerves with her thumb as her fingers slip between slick wet folds.

"Fuck-" cries Faith again as she feels her body start to shake. Dawn's fingers move away. "No-what are you doing-D-"

"Said I don't like that word-"

"Okay-won't-say it again just don't-stop touching."

"Deal-" she smiles at her control and kisses at Faith's neck, biting gently as her fingers return to their previous spot. "I love you," she whispers in her Slayer's ear as she enters her with two fingers.

"Dawn," Faith cries out. "Love you," she states as Dawn begins to move inside her Slayer.

Willow and Kennedy enter the wing they share with Faith and Dawn from the outside entrance. The young mother-to-be looks like she feels a little better, some color has returned to her cheeks. She stops and kisses her redhead. As they pull apart Willow smiles, "Feeling better now?"

"A lot better-good enough to-" she looks up and down her girlfriend and then their eyes meet.

"Good enough to research some more," teases the redhead.

"Sure, lots of research-" she pulls her into another kiss but this one is instantly passionate. As she ends it they struggle for air, the young Slayer smiles. She leans in and kisses her neck and then her shoulder. "Research every inch-" she smirks as their eyes meet. "Okay?"

"Mmmm-like the way you think." They kiss again and start down the hallway. Suddenly Kennedy stops and her demeanor changes in a heartbeat. Her Slayer senses on alert. "Kennedy what's wrong?"

"Heard something-"

"Trouble?" Her voice a whisper.

"Maybe-it's Dawn's room. Stay here." She looks at her redhead. Willow shakes her head and Kennedy rolls her eyes as they continue that direction.

A few feet from the door they stop in their tracks as they hear moans, and then Faith swearing, "Shit! Yes-there-" Kennedy and Willow both blush.

"Guess Buffy was wrong about the whole shower thing?" Kennedy smirks.

"No-not technically-I heard a shower." She too smiles as they go toward their room.

Buffy and Xander are sitting in the entertainment room trying to watch a movie as young Slayer's play games. "Wanna move this to my room," asks Xander. "It'll be quieter."

"Trying to get me alone Mr. Harris?" She smiles.

"That too-" he admits.

"Sounds good-" she stands and he does too. "Let me check on Dawnie- and then-"

He pulls her into a hug, "Faith's with her-she's okay." She starts to protest but he kisses her lips.

"Your room," smiles the Slayer. Xander smiles as well.

In Dawn's room, she and Faith fall again together. As they fight to force air into their lungs their hands and lips touch and taste skin. As their breathing slows so do the kisses and touches until finally lips and hands touch skin unmoving. "You okay?" Asks Faith as her lover lies on her chest.

Dawn smiles, "Don't-think I can move."

"Wanting to go somewhere?" Faith's hand traces a path down her back.

"No-" she assures, "But I feel all melty." She presses a kiss to Faith's shoulder. It sends a little aftershock through both of them.

"Mmmm-" says Faith. "Must have done something right." She smirks at her girl.

Dawn tries to swat at her but her arms won't cooperate, "I'll get you," she whines. "As soon as my body works," she pouts playfully.

Faith smiles and their lips meet, "Sleep."

Dawn smiles, "But I want to-" she drops her head to Faith's neck and kisses and licks there.

"Again," says Faith as her body is instantly ready.

"You don't?" Dawn is unsure.

"I always," she moves Dawn's hand down her body to show proof. "But it's late and just want to hold you-okay?"

"I like snuggling," agrees Dawn. They spoon together, legs entangled as Faith holds her girl. She presses her lips to Dawn's shoulder, her arms around her waist. Dawn's eyes close. Faith stays awake her mind reeling and she smiles. She listens to the rhythmic breathing of her sleeping lover. She whispers in her ear, "I love you Dawnie."

The Slayer is surprised and tears slip from her eyes as she hears a soft reply, "I love you too Faithy," even though sleep has claimed her girl.

Chapter 13
The next morning just before sunrise Kennedy leans over the toilet as Willow holds her hair back. The redhead wipes her Slayer's face with as Kennedy sits down and leans her body into her witch's. Willow presses a kiss to her temple as she holds her. "Want to try to go back to bed?" Kennedy shakes her head. "Then we'll just cuddle right here." She holds her tightly. A few seconds later Kennedy pulls away and begins to throw up again. The redhead again holds her hair out of the way. Her face is covered with concern.

"I hate this-" pouts Kennedy, as she is able to sit back down again.

"I know sweetie," she wipes her face gently with the cloth as she holds her close.

In Dawn's room the scene is much different. The Slayer slowly wakes as her mind hears a noise. Her eyes rest on the girl in her arms and she smiles. She leans in and softly kisses her and Dawn's eyes open as well. "Morning," smiles Faith as she kisses her again.

"Morning," says Dawn as she touches her face with her hand. "This is nice."

"Yeah-" she kisses her shoulder. "But I should go."

Dawn smiles and kisses her neck teasingly. "Sure about that?" She asks as she trails a hand down the Slayer's side and rests it on her hip.

"Don't want to-" she smiles as her fingers play against bare skin as well, "but I-" she doesn't finish the sentence as Dawn leans in and presses her onto her back. "D-?"Dawn smiles down at her as she settles herself on top of the Slayer. "What are you doing?" Asks the Slayer as the teenager slips a leg between hers and Faith moans at the contact. "F-" she catches herself and doesn't finish the word as she lets out a gasp. Dawn leans down and kisses her lips and they begin to open and close together. As the kiss continues they begin to gently rock and soon their moans fill the room.

Next door Kennedy is finally back in bed and almost asleep but her eyes open and she pouts, "Tell them to give it a rest," she whines.

"Who Sweetie?" Asks Willow as she kisses her forehead.

"Faith and Dawn," she pouts.

Willow looks unsure, "I don't hear anything."

"Damn Slayer hearing-" she covers her ears with Willow's pillow.

Willow looks at her girl and then at the wall on the far side of the room. She closes her eyes and begins to think-soon her thoughts take form and she is speaking without words.

In Dawn's room Dawn is pumping her fingers in and out of her Slayer. Faith is so close, "Harder baby-there-" she instructs.

But suddenly Faith's are not the only words she hears, 'Dawnie-Kennedy isn't feeling well. If you could tone it down just a little?'

Shocked by the voice in her head and worried for no reason she stops her movements. "Dawnie?" Faith gasps as her girl's fingers are gone. "I need-"

"Shhhh-" says the teen.

"What's wrong?" She sits up a little and looks around the room making sure all is safe. "D-you need to explain-"

"Willow," is her only word.

"Willow?" Dawn nods. "Red's not here-"

"No-but she was-" says Dawn.

"In the room?" Her eyes go wide.

"No-in my head-she ah-Kennedy's feeling all pregnant and she needs some sleep-" tries the girl as she fights the blush that covers face. "She can hear us."

"Slayer hearing." Says Faith and without missing a beat she smirks. "Guess we'll be using my place for awhile."

"They heard us-having-making-" she stops and a blush covers her face.

"And we're heard them-so we're even," reasons the worked up Slayer. "But you and I-we got something to finish."

"I can't-" says Dawn.

"Hell if you can't-" her tone is serious but her smile gives her away. "Please D-you can't leave me like this." Her eyes meet Dawn's and the teenager looks unsure. "I'll be really quiet."

Dawn smiles knowingly, "You can't be quiet."

"I can't-I'll show you." She challenges her girl.

"Okay, but the first sound-"

"Deal-" Dawn kisses down her neck and across her shoulder as she purposefully teases her Slayer. After a few kisses and caresses she finds Faith's wetness and begins to move within it. Faith fights to not call out as Dawn's fingers move faster, driving her closer. "D-"

"Shhhhh-" says her lover.

Down the hall the young Slayer closes her eyes and Willow kisses her forehead, "Noise all better now?"

"Yeah-how?"

"I had a little talk with Dawnie-" Kennedy opens her eyes unsure. "Just sent her a little message." She smiles at her girl.

"While they were-you were-in her head?" Willow nods unsure of what her babbling girlfriend is getting at. "You realize you probably traumatized her for life right?"

"Trauma-" her words stop as her face pales as she thinks about her actions. "Oh-that's so wrong-I didn't think I just -you were and they-I didn't mean-" she stops as she drops her head on Kennedy's shoulder.

"It's okay-she'll probably be okay-" a pause then a giggle- "After years of therapy of course." Willow glares at her playfully as she looks into her eyes. Kennedy kisses her softly.

"Go to sleep,'' says the redhead as she pulls back from her.

"Sleep is good," she closes her eyes and smiles as she feels Willow's hand rest on her stomach.

Later Willow is in the library with Giles. They are rereading the information from the night before on the vampires. Giles hands her another book, "This one has some information as well, nothing different actually but cataloging it as a source may be of some help later."

Willow nods and begins to type at the computer. "Done-" she looks up at the man.

He sees her tired features and concern is instantaneous. "How's Kennedy this morning?"

"Not good-rough night-not much sleep. Did I ever tell you that I hate the whole throwing up thing?"

"Most people do-but it's a normal part of the process I've been told."

"Yeah-I just-I worry when she's all yucky."

"Which is normal too-" smiles the man as he moves to sit next to her. "When's her next appointment."

"She goes once a month so-not for a couple of weeks."

"Just make sure she rests and drinks lots of liquids-"

Willow smiles up at the man who has been like a father to her, "I will-and thanks." He simply nods. As he stands Dawn walks into the room. She blushes slightly when she sees Willow.

"Sorry I'm late," she says. "Overslept."

"That's understandable after last night-" says Giles.

"Last night-" her voice squeaks as she looks from the Watcher to the redhead with fear in her eyes. "You didn't-"

Willow realizes what the teen thinks and cuts her off, "The whole getting bite by the vampire thing-" she says.

"Oh-" she breathes a sigh of relief. "That-right-it was-I'm fine-" she says as she sits down across from Willow.

"Good-" says Giles a little confused by her behavior. The man stands, "I have a meeting this morning," he looks to Willow. "The cataloging can wait if you want to spend the day looking after Kennedy."

"Thanks-but she's sleeping. I'll have what you need by the time you get back." He smiles and nods, then leaves.

Dawn looks at the redhead, "She's still feeling icky?"

"Yeah-" a slow smile covers her face. "Sorry about before."

"Don't mention it-" says the blushing teen.

"I didn't think-" she is interrupted.

"I'm serious. Don't ever mention it," she looks serious. "Okay?"

"I won't tell Buffy if that's what you're worried about." she pauses as she sees the girl noticeably relax. "What you and Faith do-well-is between you and Faith."

Dawn smiles and moves to hug the redhead, "Thanks Will-" she says as she sits back down.

"You're okay?" Asks Willow.

"Yeah-" she smiles. "Better than okay." She blushes slightly at the admission.

Willow smiles at her as Faith walks in. Dawn looks toward the door and she smiles too as she kisses her Slayer softly. Faith kisses her back but then turns her attention to Willow, "Red-where's Junior-class started ten minutes ago. The newbies are all over the place."

"Asleep-she probably forgot." Willow stands. "I'll go get her-"

"Nah-I've got it covered," she looks at Dawnie. "Okay if breakfast is lunch instead?"

"Yeah," they kiss again softly. "I'll be here."

"Tell Junior hope she stops hurling soon," and with those words she is gone.

Dawn looks at Willow, "Kennedy's gonna be okay right?"

"Morning sickness-some days will be rougher than others." She says but she still worries. "This is one of them."

"You should be with her," says Dawnie. "I'll finish here, go snuggle-she'll sleep better that way and we both know it."

Willow smiles, "You don't mind?"

"Nope-so go." She smiles.

A few days later Willow and Kennedy are snuggled together on the couch in their apartment. Kennedy is a little nauseous again. "Tummy still all grrrrrrrr-" asks Willow, her hand resting there.

"I'm okay Willow," says Kennedy.

"Not what I asked," says the redhead.

"A little yeah." They are quiet as Willow presses her lips to her Slayer's hair. "I just feel-I can't explain it."

Willow turns her girl to face her, "Does something hurt? Should we call the doctor?"

"No, I don't think-no-it's normal right? The yucky's are just part of being pregnant."

"Right," agrees her redhead. "But we could still check just to be safe," worry creeps into Willow's words.

"Safe is good," says Kennedy.

Willow kisses her softly and then moves over her to stand on the floor. "I'll call and get an appointment-okay?"

"Okay," says the young Slayer. Willow kisses her lips again and then walks across the room. A few seconds later Kennedy's eyes drift closed.

When Willow comes back she finds her girl curled into a ball on the couch still asleep. She sits down beside her and presses a kiss to her temple. She holds her hand and watches as she sleeps.

The next morning they sit in the doctor's office a little nervous. Kennedy is sitting in a gown on the examining table. The doctor has already been in to examine her. Willow holds her hand and kisses it softly. "Relax, it's okay."

"What if she found something wrong?"

"Then we'll deal with it-" she kisses her Slayer's lips. "But let's not borrow trouble?"

Kennedy nods, "Okay."

The door opens and the doctor, Dr. Davis walks in. "Everything looks good-"

"Yeah?" Asks Kennedy as she smiles at Willow and Willow smiles back.

"She's developing well-looks to be a little older than we thought-about 12 weeks."

"Wow-okay-" says Willow. Math starts running through her head, but stops as Kennedy says something. "What sweetie?"

Kennedy smiles, "New Years baby." Willow smiles as well.

"I did find something-small," says the doctor and heads pivot to face her. "You're a little dehydrated, have you been working out?"

"Some," says the young Slayer.

"Remember lots of water-before, during, and after any strenuous activity." She raises an eyebrow and they catch her meaning immediately.

"Right-" Willow blushes.

"Got it-" says Kennedy as she pulls her blushing redhead closer. "Lots of water."

Later that day they are back at the house. Kennedy sleeps on the couch while Willow sits at her computer desk looking through a book while also pecking keys on the her computer. Her fingers stop as she reads the words again, then glances toward her Slayer. The redhead looks at the calendar on the screen of the baby site and types in the numbers again. "No way she can be 12 weeks." She looks toward her girl and then goes to the shelf behind her desk. She pulls out a book on Wiccan charms and sits back down.

The next evening the Slayers are going out. They are going to look over the area again, hopefully they can find something to answer the growing number of questions about the legend of Vlad.

Buffy and Faith have the groups together and all have been instructed to stay alert. Willow prepared a fire ball orb for each to weed out the regular vamps. The oldest Slayers give the last orders and cautions. Faith looks across and smiles at Dawn. Dawn smiles back, they don't notice Buffy is watching the exchange. She looks from her sister to the Slayer and back again. She goes to her team.

As they leave Dawn meets Faith at the door, "My room later?" Asks the teen.

"Count on it," smirks Faith. "No-" Dawn's face falls, Faith kisses her then explains. "K's still-so my room okay?"

"Okay-" they kiss again and without either of them realizing it Faith's hand drops to the button on Dawn's jeans and her fingers toy with it. Buffy sees this and her eyes go wide.

"Move out!" Orders the oldest Slayer her eyes still on her sister.

Faith backs away, "Later D-" then they are gone.

Dawn smiles and Willow walks in the room. "Dawn you have plans tonight?"

Her face flushes, then she shakes her head, "No-not till later," Willow smiles. "Need help with something?"

"Yeah-but it's between you and me okay?"

"Something wrong?"

"Maybe-" she admits her words shaky. "Let me show you what I have," she sits at the table and puts her laptop down, then opens it. She loads the files and Dawn looks at the screen. The younger woman's face shows worry too.

"I can try to get hold of Watchers journals they may help."

"But the council-" starts Dawn.

"Some were housed there I'm sure, but not all. Ah-the watchers who were alive-it'll take time but we should be able to contact them," says Dawn. Willow fights tears and Dawn pulls her into a hug.

"Why are you hugging my girl?" Asks Kennedy from the doorway, a smile plays across her face until she sees Willow is upset. "Will?"

Dawn looks at the redhead, "I didn't mean to upset you-I was kidding about the whole you in my head thing-I'm not mad."

"You sure," says Willow playing along.

"Sure-now get out of here. I have work to do." Willow stands as Kennedy moves into the room. The redhead looks nervously at the laptop. "Mind if I borrow your laptop?"

"Ah-no-" she shakes her head. She puts an arms around Kennedy and stops her progress. "What to get a snack and watch a movie?"

Kennedy smiles, "Sounds like a plan." They leave the room together. Dawn begins to type on the laptop.

Willow and Kennedy are together in their room. They are spooned together on the couch, Willow is holding her Slayer close-her hand resting on her stomach yet again. Soft music is playing in the background. "Who do you think she'll look like?" Asks the redhead.

Kennedy's hand joins Willow's. "I wonder about that too-hope she has freckles-" Kennedy smiles and turns to face her girl. "I love your freckles." She leans in and kisses her lips.

"And your eyes-" she presses a kiss to Kennedy's lips. "I love your eyes." The kiss deepens and who started it neither is certain. Willow finally pulls back as they struggle for air. "Think we should wait till you're feeling better."

"I feel better," lies the young Slayer.

Willow smiles, "Liar-you were just all throw uppy like twenty minutes ago."

"But I'm a Slayer-with Slayer healing-so all is of the good now."

Willow is quiet. She touches her girl's cheek, "Kenn-"

"Something not right?"

"No-no-just thinking about Em-" she smiles.

Kennedy smiles, "You think she'll be a Slayer Will?"

"Maybe-can't be sure-but she is a witch."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah-it is passed from generation to generation-so-" she smiles. "You okay with that?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Magic-you're not its biggest fan."

"That was a long time ago-now it's cool." Willow is silent again. "What aren't you telling me?"

"I've been doing some research."

Kennedy rolls her eyes playfully, "No way-you researching-" Willow swats at her playfully. She kisses her redhead. "What did you find?"

"Promise you won't freak?"

"I'll try my best not to-" says the mother-to-be.

"I haven't found much so far-but I did find-just-well sometimes the magic starts before the baby is actually here."

"Excuse me?" Kennedy eyes go wide.

"While she's still-," Willow starts only to be interrupted.

"Inside?" Asks Kennedy. "While she's still inside me?"

"Yeah-" admits the witch.

"Okay-freaking out now-what will she be able to do?"

"I don't know-" she presses a kiss to Kennedy's forehead. "But she's just really tiny and so it can't be much magic right?" She tries to comfort her Slayer. "It can't be that powerful." Kennedy looks at her lover, she almost laughs, Willow looks at her unsure, "What's funny-there's funny and I missed it?"

"For someone so smart-Willow, Emilee is half you-her DNA is half yours-and you're like this mega witch." Willow blushes at her words. "No one has the power you do."

The words settle in the redhead's mind, "Wow," she lets slip as she suddenly understands.

Kennedy rolls her eyes, "Exactly-" says the young Slayer.

"Okay-Wow-we should-wow." She turns pale.

"Willow-?"

"I don't feel so good," says the redhead.

"Breath sweetie, it's okay. We'll handle it-we always do.-Breath-" Willow takes several deep breaths as Kennedy pulls her into a hug and kisses her forehead. "It's gonna be okay."

The Slayers are heading back. Faith's group has killed a few vamps but none of the suntanned type. She enters the kitchen with the others and they hit the refrigerator. As she fixes herself a plate of sandwiches she talk to the Watcher. "Didn't find much-hope B has better luck." She takes a couple of bites and looks around. "Gonna get some sleep." She starts for the hallway and hears a few giggles and a soft comment, "Training is gonna be hell tomorrow if anyone says what they're thinking out loud." They fall silent and the Slayer leaves. The room bursts into giggles and Giles also smiles knowingly.

Faith walks into her room to find Dawn asleep on her couch the music playing softly. She smiles, sets the food on the game and walks over to her. She sits beside hr and kisses her forehead. Dawn's eyes flutter open, she smiles and leans up to kiss Faith's lips. "I fell asleep.-Sorry."

"It's okay," their lips meet again.

"How was the slaying? Find our vamps?"

"Nope-just the regular kind." Before she can say more Dawn is kissing her again. This time the teenager runs her tongue along her Slayer's bottom lip and she moans. "Mmmm-hold that thought-let me get the dust off."

"Okay-want me to help?" She smiles.

Faith smiles too, "Not tonight-you sleep a little more," she winks- "You're gonna need your strength later."

"Like the sound of that," she kisses her once more before the Slayer stands and walks across the room. She picks up the plate on her way into the bathroom.

Willow and Kennedy are now in bed and it is obvious that Kennedy got her way. They lay tangled together, bodies glistening with sweat. Fingers and lips still touching. Willow's hand plays at her girl's stomach-her head resting there as well. She smiles and Kennedy asks unsure, "Why the smile?"

She runs her hand along the gentle curve starting to form there, "She's making room-" she smiles and kisses her tummy. "You're beautiful."

Kennedy's fingers play in her redhead's hair. "Hope you think that when I'm all fat-" she pouts somewhat playfully though she is a little worried.

"You'll be more beautiful," she plants one more kiss there before moving back up her body and kissing her lips again. "I love you-for being brave enough to do this-" a tear slips from her eyes.

Kennedy's eyes tear as well and she kisses her, "I love you-for helping me be brave enough." They snuggle together lips gently touching as they start the dance anew.

Faith walks out of the bathroom in only a towel, her skin is still damp. She goes toward the dresser to get her boxers and tank top but stops as Dawn's voice is heard. "You don't need those."

Faith looks to see the teenager lying on her bed in only her panties. She takes in a gulp of air and smiles, "Don't do I?" She moves to her bed and crawls in next to Dawn. She smiles and kisses her girlfriend as she feels hands begin to push the towel away. Soon it is on the floor. "Been thinking about this all night."

Dawn smiles, "So have I-" they kiss again. Faith leans in and presses Dawn to her back. They kiss and hands caress, soon Faith's lips are at the girl's pulse point. Dawn moans softly, her eyes flutter closed. Faith licks and ducks there gently before moving down her body.

Outside the house the other band of Slayers go toward the front door but Buffy doesn't. "Where are you headed," asks Xander.

"Need to see if Faith had any more luck then we did," she answers. "Fix me something to eat?-I'll just be a second."

"Sure," answers the man as he kisses her and she walks the other way.

Buffy walks into the hallway to the winged complex. She starts toward Faith's door and as she starts to knock she hears a moan. She smiles, thinking about the hungries and hornies of Slayers after a night of slaying. Her smile fades as she realizes what this means. The moans she hears are Faith's and either Faith is with her sister- "No that couldn't be-" or she was cheating on her. "Bitch-" she mutters. "You're so gonna get your ass kicked." She glares and then knocks on the door. There is no answer. She pounds and still no one response. She puts her hand on the door and with a little of her Slayer strength she pushes till it opens.

"Dawn!" Screams the once rogue Slayer as she falls, the blonde stands in the room.

"Dawn-" she says softly.

The two on the bed look toward the voice, bodies still moving together. "Buffy-" Dawn eeks out. Faith's eyes fly open and she stops all movement.

"B-"

Dawn buries her face into her Slayer's shoulder, "Fuck," she mutters.

Chapter 14
Buffy stands shocked-her eyes staring at the Slayer and her little sister tangled together on the bed. "B-before you go all-" she stops and turns Dawn out of Buffy's line of vision. "Let's just talk about this." She pulls a sheet over them. "Give us a minute-"

"What-so you can finish?"

"I know you're really pissed off-and I get it-"

"That's pretty obvious-how long you been getting it?" Snaps the blonde.

"Don't go there B-." Faith is trying to hold her temper in check.

Buffy blasts Faith, her voice loud-her words angry, "You aren't gonna-do you think you can tell me what to do F?" She glares at the once rogue Slayer.

Dawn sits up and the sheet nearly falls away but she grabs it. She looks at her sister trying to decide her course of action. She can give attitude as well as the other Summers-and she does, her voice also loud. "You can't tell me what I can do-or who I can do for that matter." The Slayers in tandem look at the teenager, both are shocked by her words. A slight grin begins to play across Faith's lips and then turns to a smirk. Buffy looks at her sister ready to speak but the girl's words continue. "If you wanna talk fine-in my room later. Like Faith said, we need a minute."

Without a word the blonde Slayer turns and walks out of the room closing the door behind her. Faith looks at Dawn and she is genuinely concerned, "Okay-that was strange."

"Yeah-she just left." The teenager states the obvious.

"No fighting, no blood-something's not right," Faith adds.

Dawn presses a kiss to Faith's lips, "Don't worry, it's just shock. I'm sure ranting Buffy will be showing herself by the time we get to my room."

Faith rolls her eyes, "You're probably right. How pissed is she gonna be?"

Dawn looks at her Slayer and touches her cheek with the back of her hand. She caresses it. "Not sure-you don't have to come if you don't want."

"You think I'd let you face her alone?" She looks unsure.

"You don't think I can handle her?"

"Don't care if you can or not-we're in this together. Got it D?"

Dawn nods, "I got it-well-actually I didn't," she smiles seductively. "We were kinda interrupted."

Faith shakes her head, "Gonna have to wait-"

Dawn leans in and presses her to the bed, "Don't want to wait." Her hands begin to caress the Slayer's body.

Faith flips the girl under her and smiles, teasing her neck with her lips and then moving down her body. She licks around one hardening peek before bringing it into her mouth. As she sucks gently her right hand slips down to soft curls and begins to tease. She whispers moving her lips back to Dawn's ear, "That want you want baby?" Dawn moans . Faith kisses her ear and then smirks, "Gonna have to wait-" she sits up and moves from the bed.

"Oh-you are so paying for that." Dawn glares at her.

"I hope so," she winks as she goes to get her clothes from the drawer.

Dawn and Faith go into her room to find Buffy sitting on the couch. "What's she doing here?" Her eyes settle on Faith.

Dawn tries to be calm, "We want to talk to you."

"I don't want to talk to her." Buffy glares, her anger at the surface.

Dawn looks at her sister, "You're being a baby."

"And you're being such a grown up-right. Just because you're screwing her-"

"That's it-just go," Dawn's words are loud and angry. Faith takes her hand.

"No-" she looks at the lovers. "I want to know how long-why you didn't tell me."

Faith speaks, "Not long-"

But before she can continue Dawn adds, "And you're handling it so well-I don't why we didn't tell you first."

"First?" She looks from one to the other. "Who knows?"

Dawn looks at Faith realizing her slip up and not wanting to involve Willow and Kennedy. Faith steps toward the Slayer who stands, "Look B-now you know and I love her you know that too. So what's the big deal?"

"Big deal?" The blonde's words are repeated and become louder. "Big deal-big deal?"

In Willow and Kennedy's room, the couple who had been asleep now listen to the raised voices. "I should go talk to her," says the redhead as she looks up into Kennedy's eyes from her position in her arms.

Kennedy presses a kiss to the top of her head, "We should let them work it out."

"But she's really mad," tries Willow.

"Faith can handle her."

"That's what I'm afraid of-they could fight."

"They won't-" assures the young Slayer.

"They might," says the redhead. Kennedy turns and presses her girl to the mattress then kisses her lips. When they break apart she asks with a smile, "Trying to distract me?"

"Maybe-is it working?" Kennedy's hands slip under witch's pajama top and caress.

"Working-" she admits as she bites her bottom lip and her breathing speeds up. "Promise me something."

"Anything," says the young Slayer as she kisses her neck and her hands massage her breasts.

"We won't act like Buffy -when Emilee-you know?"

Kennedy smiles at her lover and kisses her softly, "We won't-cause she's never having sex." She states matter of factly.

"Right," giggles the redhead. "You keep thinking that."

Kennedy smiles, "Nah-I know she will, but we'll handle it way better." She ends all talk for now as her knee presses against her redhead's center and her lips return to her pulse point. Willow moans getting lost fast-but before she is completely taken away she focuses on a name and words. 'Xander-trouble in Dawn's room-Buffy-Faith.' A seconds later she feels fingers tease wet folds and all thoughts are gone.

In Dawn's room the talk is getting louder, "You know what this is over," says the teenager. "I want you to leave," her eyes meet her sister's.

"I'm not leaving," says the blonde, "Till I have answers."

"Fine," says Dawn. "Then I will." She turns and goes out the door slamming it behind her. She leaves the Slayers alone-together.

They glare at each other, "I'll never figure you out," says Faith speaking first.

"Don't have that problem with you do we?" She steps closer, "It's all pretty simple where you're concerned.-Always has been. Want-take-have-right?"

"You know-D and me we're together-face it-deal with it or not. That's up to you." She turns to leave the room but as she does Buffy grabs her arm.

"You think this is over?"

"What-you wanna take a swing? If it'll make you feel better about you go for it." She turns facing her fully, her hands at her sides.

As Buffy swings Xander and Dawn walk in. The punch lands, hitting the once rogue Slayer in the jaw. "Better?" Asks Faith. Getting no answer she turns to leave again. That's when she sees the others. Dawn starts toward her sister and her anger is boiling. Faith grabs her wrapping her in her arms. "It's okay D-"

"She hit you-how's that okay?"

"I told her to-let's get some air." She leads her girlfriend out of the room.

Xander walks over to Buffy and takes her in his arms, she begins to cry. "It's okay," he whispers as he rubs her back.

"You don't know-" she starts but he stops her.

"Dawnie gave me the cliff note version as we ran down the hallway."

"She-they-" she looks into the man's eyes. "They-" she is unable to finish a sentence. Suddenly very Willow-y, "They've had-" she stops again.

He smiles though she can't see his face, "Think the word you're looking for is sex."

"Yeah-that's the one," she nods against his chest. "They've had it-and she didn't tell me. I'm her sister-she should have told me." She looks up at him with tears streaming down her face.

"Is that why you're all-" he hesitates and then adds as only Xander could, "Crazy?" Again she nods. "I have an idea," he says as he kisses her lips softly. "Why don't I tuck you in bed and tomorrow you start all over-talk to Dawn-maybe apologize to Faith."

"Not apologizing to Faith-the hitting was her idea." She looks in his eyes and he smiles-a slight smile crosses her face as well, "I might tell her it wasn't such a good idea."

"That's something," he puts an arm around her and they go out the door.

Kennedy and Willow are tangled together. Willow is watching her girl sleep as she holds a silent conversation with Xander. 'Promise she's really okay?'

'She was sleeping when I left-' says her life-long friend.

'You left? Xander-sometimes you're such a dummy.'

'Thanks Willow-'

'No you know what I mean-you should have stayed.'

He laughs in his head and she smile, 'Like I haven't been trying. I told her I'd stay-she said to go-she was fine.'

'Xander in girl talk that's I need you near in case I go eeee again. Please sleep on my couch-'

'See why didn't anyone tell me that before?'

'Before it was Cordy and Anya-'

'No need to say more. I'll go sleep on her couch.'

Willow smiles, 'Good and don't take no for an answer.'

'You remember the part about her being a Slayer right?' He asks.

'Go on you big baby, she wants you there.'

'Fine-night Will.'

'Night Xander,' she sighs deeply as she leaves his mind. She snuggles into her girl and presses a kiss to her shoulder. "I love you," she whispers.

"I love you," says the young Slayer with a smile. "How's Buffy?"

"How-how would I know?" She tries to act innocent.

"Willow-sweetie I love you I do-but you can't lie. Who were you talking to? Xander?"

"Talking-no, no talking-see," she points to the phone on the nightstand.

Kennedy presses her lips to her girl's head and then touches it with her fingers. "This phone was in use though-right?"

Willow gives up the attempt at withholding the truth. "She's a sleep-he's going back to stay with her now."

"He left her?" Kennedy seems amazed. "Why would he-"

"Who knows-" she shakes her head.

"Think you can sleep now?" Asks the mother-to-be.

"I'll try," she promises. They snuggle together and eyes close.

The next day Kennedy is swimming in the pool, doing laps as part of her exercise routine. Willow sits on the side watching, her feet dangling in the water. She smiles as she watches her girl, her body so smooth as it works. She is a million miles away and jumps startled slightly as she feels a hand on her shoulder. She looks up to see Xander there. "Didn't mean to scare you. Just thought I'd update you on the Buffy-Faith/Dawn thing."

"There's an update?" Immediately she is interested. "Is it bad?"

He smiles at his nervous friend, "Hope not," he says. "Buffy promised to try again without the shouting."

"Don't you think someone else should be there just in case?"

"No-I think they need to figure it out for themselves." She pouts at him and he laughs. "What?"

"You sound like Kennedy," she says as her eyes go back to her girlfriend. The young Slayer is swimming towards them.

"She told you stay out of it too huh?-" he smirks and she swats at him playfully.

Kennedy surfaces at the edge next to them and pulls herself out of the water. Xander raises a playful eyebrow. She smacks him again. "Next time I'm telling." He looks worried. She smiles, "Not really."

Kennedy reaches for the towel next to her redhead and begins to dry off. She leans down and kisses her girl, then looks to Xander, "Thought you were Buffy sitting?" She smiles as she wraps the towel around herself and sits next to Willow.

"I was-but now they're talking so-" he shrugs. "Free time."

In the house oldest Slayers and Dawn are sitting in Buffy's room. Dawn is sitting in a chair and Faith is resting against the arm of it. Buffy is nervously pacing. Dawn looks nervous as well, "Buffy-I thought you wanted to talk?"

"I do-" she stats.

"Now that's clear, we could start," says Faith. She stands in front of the blonde and Buffy stops. "I just wanna say something first." Buffy nods. "I'm sorry-" Buffy looks unsure.

Dawn speaks, "Whoa-wait she hit you why are you apologizing?"

Faith turns to the teen, "Because I should," she turns back to her fellow Slayer. "I should have told you-you shouldn't have found out like you did last night."

Buffy looks at her surprised, "You're right-" her eyes fall on Dawn. "But you shouldn't have told me."

Dawn looks at her sister and stands. She goes to Faith and puts an arm around her, Faith does the same. She looks at Buffy again, "I'm sorry-I just I didn't know how."

Buffy looks at her sister but doesn't speak. Faith looks at the blonde and sees tears trying to form in her eyes. She turns to Dawn and kisses her softly. "This part is a sister thing-I'll be outside-come get me for the rest." Dawn nods and they kiss again. The Slayer then leaves.

Buffy moves to the couch and sits down, the teenager follows and sits next to her. "Am I that hard to talk too?"

"Sometimes," admits the girl. She looks up and sees the blonde's tears fall. "I was just-I didn't want you to be upset. I was gonna tell you but there was always something going on or somebody that needed help with Slayer stuff."

"I'll always make time Dawnie-" she says. "You know that right? I love you."

"Yeah-I know. I love you-even if you hit my girlfriend."

"I'm gonna apologize for that-" she says.

"Yes you are," Dawn looks sternly then they both laugh.

"So-you and Faith-" starts Buffy and a blush covers Dawn's face. "You sure you're not Willow's sister?" Teases the Slayer. "With the blushing."

"Pretty sure the monks made me outta you," she winks.

"Yeah-pretty sure too," she smiles. "You couldn't drive me this crazy if you weren't."

"So since I didn't tell you before-want me to now?"

"Kinda after the fact, don't you think?" Says the blonde.

"But I had a speech and everything," whines the teenager.

"Then you probably should," she smiles.

Dawn stands, "Okay-" she straightens her shirt and rolls her neck a little too much like Faith and Buffy shakes her head. "Buffy I need to tell you something."

"About the suntanned vamps?" She has decided to make this fun.-Well fun if you're her, not so fun if you're Dawn.

"No-ah about Faith and me."

"Did you break up?" She teases and that earns her a playful glare.

"No-would you just be quiet and listen?"

"Listening right-" says Buffy with a smile. Dawn rolls her eyes.

"Faith and I-we've-the two of us-we're-you know?"

"Dating-I know."

Dawn growls and Buffy laughs, "We're together-" she raises an eyebrow, "together."

Buffy laughs and stands, "Dawnie-you know what Xander always says?" She hugs the teen.

"No-" she says her arms wrapped around her sister as well.

"He says that if you're doing it-you should be able to say it." She holds her sister and arms length and their eyes meet. "So say it."

"Faith and I-we're, we've made love." She looks into Buffy's eyes and sees tears slip out. "Don't cry-you said to say it."

"I know-to say you had sex-but it wasn't just-was it?"

Dawn shakes her head, and from the doorway Faith answers, "No-it's way more." They both look at the other Slayer. She crosses the room and Dawn steps into her arms. "We good B-?"

"Not quite-" Faith looks at her unsure, "I'm sorry that I hit you."

Faith nods, "It's 5x5-don't sweat it."

In Willow and Kennedy's room the young Slayer comes from the bathroom wearing just a towel. She moves to the dresser and gets out a tank and her under clothes. She goes to the closet and pulls out a pair of jeans. She begins to dress, as she does Willow walks in the room. She smiles as she watches the young woman try to button her pants. "Having a little trouble sweetie?" Kennedy scowls at her and then growls playfully. "Try lying on the bed."

"You're loving this aren't you?" She plops on the bed and does what her redhead suggested. She gets them fastened.

Willow sits next to her, "We could go clothes shopping."

Kennedy rolls her eyes, "Maternity clothes shopping you mean."

"No-you could just get a bigger size-if you don't want yet."

"Fine-we'll go." She pouts. "But they look so-icky-"

Willow kisses her pouting lips and then licks along the bottom one. "You could never look icky-" she smiles and they kiss again.

"You're just saying that," she whines.

"Not true-" she puts her hand on Kennedy's stomach. "Kennedy your body is changing for her-and that's amazing-not in anyway icky." She kisses her again.

Kennedy wipes away a tear and clears her throat, "Damn hormones," she says as she stands.

"Yeah," Willow plays along not wanting her Slayer to feel like she's a softy. Though she knows better. They leave the room hand-in-hand.

A few days later everything has calmed down. Willow and Dawn are in the library. "Any luck with the Watcher's guides?" Asks the redhead.

"No-but I had an idea," says Dawn.

"Let's hear it-"

"I could call Robin-he my know something."

"Robin?" She looks at the teenager and realizes the trouble it could cause. "You sure?"

"He might be able to help-it's all we've got. I can deal with an ex-boyfriend."

"Do it then," she nods, "If you're sure."

Faith stands in the doorway- "Sure about what Red-sounds all edgy-like there's trouble." They both look at the Slayer unsure.

Chapter 15
Faith looks at them and she walks into the room. "Okay-spill it-something's up."

Willow looks at the once rogue Slayer, "There's some researchy stuff I need," she tries to keep her tone light-carefree. "Seems the only one who maybe able to help is-" she hesitates and looks at Dawn.

Dawn walks to her Slayer and puts her arms around her, "We need to call Robin."

"Robin," her mood shifts, "Oh-well-if you need to."

"You sure?" Asks the redhead.

"It's cool-lunch later?" She smiles at Dawn.

"Yeah-"

Faith leans in and kisses her lips, "Gotta help with the training-later," she winks and kisses her again. She leaves.

Willow looks at Dawn, "That went-" she stops confused.

"Way better then I expected," says the teenager. Dawn picks up the phone and the Rolodex from the desk.

A couple of days later Willow is snuggled on the couch with her Slayer resting on her chest. She holds the girl in her arms as she watches her nap. She smiles at her, Goddess she's beautiful thinks the witch as she plants a soft kiss on her forehead. She touches her face, barely a trace as she moves her fingers down her. Her hand rests on Kennedy rounding abdomen and a slight look of worry crosses her face. Her mind searches information stored there from research and she wonders if there is something not right. She pushes the thoughts away and she looks back at her girl. "Everything's okay," she whispers as she kisses the top of her head.

She feels her Slayer stir a little as she stretches on her. She smiles at the contact. "Say something Will?" She rests her chin on Willow's chest as their eyes meet.

"Nothing important, rest." She runs her fingers through Kennedy's hair and smiles as her eyes close instantly and she snuggles back into her.

A few days later Willow and Dawn are in the library. Rona carries in a box- "It's from Robin-" she sets it next to Willow.

"Thanks," says Dawn as the redhead simply begins to open the box though she has little luck. She gets frustrated- "Damn tape," she mutters.

"Let me," says the teenager as she gets some scissors and the box id open in seconds. They both look at the rows of books inside; there must be at least 20. Dawn is the first to speak. "We should get started." She pulls out the first one ignoring the letter that accompanies them addressed to them both from Robin.

Willow nods and pulls out the next. Their day of reading begins.

Five hours, a cancelled lunch date, and four watcher's journals later Willow shakes her head. "This was for nothing," she drops the book onto the desk and stands. She runs her hand across her stiff neck and worry covers her features.

Dawn stands and walks toward her, "There's more books to read-"

"Don't need to-" she points to the book on the desk. "It's all in there, he was born before she was called. She wasn't a Slayer when he was conceived."

"So what's next?" Asks the girl.

"I talk to Kennedy-then we call a Scooby meeting."

"You think it's bad?"

"Not sure-but something's not right." She starts to repack books.

"I'll do that," she takes the book from the redhead. Willow's tears start and Dawn pulls her into a hug. "We'll figure it out," she promises in a whisper.

"What if something-what if we lose her?"

"No-no okay-she'll be okay." Dawn tries to reassure her.

This time it's Buffy that walks in the door, "Willow?" Dawn looks to her sister her eyes pleading. Buffy closes the door, then walks to them and wraps her arms around the redhead as well.

Later with a course of action planned, Buffy calls a Scooby meeting and Willow gets ready to talk to her Slayer. She forces a smile as she walks into the with a picnic basket. Kennedy who is playing an arcade game looks up and smiles, "What's this?"

Willow sets the basket at the door and wraps her girl in her arms from behind. She kisses her softly and smiles, "Picnic in the backyard by the swing-okay?"

"Love the idea. I'll grab a blanket-" she starts to move but Willow holds her tight.

"It's all ready-just needs us."

Kennedy turns in her arms and kisses her softly. "Let's go then," they walk hand-in-hand to the door and she picks up the basket as they go out it.

In the hallway Kennedy stops and pulls her into a kiss. She kisses her back as lips open and close together. Willow gently pulls back and leans her forehead against Kennedy's, "I love you, you know that right?"

"Yeah-is something wrong Willow?"

She shakes her head not sure her voice can pull off the lie, "Picnic-"

"Is there desert after?" Asks Kennedy with a raised eyebrow.

"Maybe-" teases the redhead. She starts to walk and her Slayer follows.

"Is that maybe-a yes?" Kennedy pulls close and presses a kiss to her lips.

"It's a maybe-" giggles the redhead momentarily forgetting her worries. "M-a-y-b-e- maybe."

"I like Y-e-s- yes better," she smiles as she moves her lips to Willow's neck. She kisses and then licks there making sure her studded tongue finds all the right spots. She hears her girl moan. "That a yes?-Or still a maybe?"

"Mmmmm-okay-yes-" Kennedy smiles victorious and they continue outside.

In the house, the Scoobies are in a serious conversation. Dawn is trying to explain Willow's suspicions and fears. "When they went to the last appointment the doctor said that she had miscalculated the due date. That Kennedy was twelve weeks."

"So the kid gets here a little sooner-what's wrong with that?"

"Only that she can't possibly be twelve weeks-" says Dawn.

She lays the calendar on the table in front of her girl. It has several colors on it and all present know Willow's work. She has counted back to twelve weeks and marked that date in blue-then moving forward in circled in red is Kennedy's birthday. Faith is the first to speak again. "They weren't even having sex then."

Giles clears his throat and cleans his glasses. He looks to Buffy and speaks cautiously, "Do I want to know how she knows this?"

It is Dawn who answers, "We all know this-"

"Except me of course," he states and the women in the room smile.

Xander fights to keep from laughing, "You'll just have to trust us then."

Dawn continues, "Will thinks that maybe since Kennedy's a Slayer that her body is-" she stops not sure how to finish the sentence.

Outside Willow is leaning against a tree and Kennedy is sitting between her legs her back resting on her redhead's chest. Willow is feeding her grapes. She runs out and wraps her Slayer in her arms. "This was fun," says the young Slayer as she snuggles against her.

"Yeah-it was," the redhead presses a kiss to her hair. "Ready for desert?" She teases as her hand slides up to caress her breast.

Kennedy moans slightly and bites her bottom lip, "Desert out here?" She turns her head to find Willow's eyes. "You sure?"

Willow kisses her lips again and slips her other hand to her Slayer's waist. The growing bulge there reminds her of her mission. "Kennedy before desert, can we talk?"

She turns to face her redhead, "We can always talk." She sits crossed-legged in front of her. Willow copies her position. "Something isn't right-huh?"

"I'm not sure-but I'm kinda worried." She pulls a small calendar from the basket.

"What about?"

Willow opens the calendar and hands it to her girl, "Kennedy twelve weeks isn't possible."

The young mother-to-be stares at the dates and realizes that her redhead is right. "What do you think it means?"

"It could be a lot of things-I mean doctors miscalculate due dates all the time. Or-it could mean that she's big for her age."

Kennedy grins and then pouts, "Big is not good."

Willow nods, "Not so much fun no-" she touches her girl's tummy.

"And the last or-that you've been avoiding?"

"Or it could be a Slayer thing."

"A Slayer thing?" She looks confused.

"We don't know how a Slayer's body reacts to being pregnant."

"But Robin-his mom was-"

Willow shakes her head, "He was born before she was called. Emilee is a first-"

Kennedy slowly digests the information, "Does this mean she's in danger that my body could-"

"No-I don't think-"

"But you don't know?" Tears threaten to fall.

"I don't know-" she pulls her into her lap, holding her tightly and they cry together.

Inside the house the others are buried in books. Giles is on the phone talking with members of the old council but they are of no help. Frustrated Faith stands, still struggling with her newfound emotions. "I need some air-this is-" she starts for the door and as she leaves Dawn stands and follows.

Buffy looks around the room, "Not generally all agree-y with Faith-but she's right this is-it sucks." Xander moves to put a hand on her shoulder.

"Maybe we should all take some time," says Giles. "Meet back here in an hour?"

Buffy nods and stands, she moves into Xander's arms, "Xander-when does Will get to be happy?" Her tears start and he tightens his arms around her.

Outside Faith is standing on the porch staring into the falling darkness. Dawn wraps her arms around her from behind and presses her face to Faith's. Faith speaks, "This bites you know," she wipes away tears before Dawn can see.

"Yeah-but we'll find out what's going on and we'll stop anything bad from happening-it's what we do."

"And if we can't?" Faith turns in her arms and the tears try to fall again. "I hate this," she wipes at them frustrated.

Dawn presses a kiss to her lips, "The crying is okay-it happens when you care about people."

"Then it's your fault," she half smiles.

Dawn looks confused, "My fault?"

"The caring-I didn't before you."

Dawn smiles and kisses her softly. "Glad to help," she teases. Faith glares playfully. "Let's go for a walk."

"Dark out-scary things out there," she teases now.

"Have my own bodyguard-we'll be safe."

Faith slides a hand down Dawn's shoulder, then her neck and leans in to kiss there, "Nice body to protect." She smiles as her hand slips to her breast. "Sure about that walk?"

"We could walk to my room-it's just over there," she smiles as she looks toward the wing. She bites her bottom lip as Faith's hand continues to massage. They kiss again and start that direction.

In their apartment Willow and Kennedy are tangled together on the couch holding each other. Kennedy whispers, "I can't lose her." She sniffs back tears.

"We won't-" says Willow though she's not sure she believes it. She wipes her own eyes. "Know what I think?"

"No-what?"

Willow turns her young Slayer so their eyes meet and she holds her body to hers, "I think it just means at she's gonna grow faster-so she'll be here sooner. That's all." Willow surprises herself with her words unsure where the idea came from.

"You really think?"

"I really think-okay?" She leans her forehead against Kennedy's.

"Okay," she nods. "But what if-" she fights the tears away.

"I won't anything bad happen-there has to be some magic that-" she stops as Kennedy's tears fall and she pulls her back into her lap. "Don't cry-please-baby don't cry-I'll fix it. I'll fix it." She holds her girl pressing kisses to her hair.

The Scoobies are in the library again. As they start to discuss the next step there is a knock on the door. Buffy is closest so she opens it to find Vi standing there with a man. "This is Mr. Rawlings he stand speaking to you was of the utmost importance," relays the teen and with her words she is gone.

Faith gives him the once over not sure she likes him and Buffy's mannerisms are much the same. Finally it is Giles who speaks, "How may we be of assistance to you Mr. Rawlings?"

"I am here to help you," he says stressing each word. Dawn glares at him and steps closer to Faith.

In Willow and Kennedy's apartment Kennedy has cried herself to sleep. Willow is watching her, the brunette's head pillowed in her lap. She has her laptop and is leaned over it typing. She has exhausted all mystical spells and has moved to talismans in search of some way to ensure her daughter's safety. Kennedy mumbles in her sleep, "No-you can't take her-". Willow presses a kiss to her temple.

She takes a deep breath in and lets it out slowly. She works on focusing her powers and when she has reached that state she calls out to the coven. 'Althennea-I need your help.'
