Time Keeps On Slippin'-Slippin'-Slippin' Into The Future
Willow and Kennedy are snuggled together on the couch in the living room. "You know," starts Willow, "we aren't going to be able to stop this right?"
"Yeah-it's just, I should be able to. I'm the Slayer I stopped the world from ending-you think I could keep my daughters from getting their licenses."
Willow smiles and kisses her Slayer's neck, "There is a good side to this," says the redhead trying to convince her love.
"That would be?"
"They can be the taxi service instead of us-gives us more snuggle time," she wiggles her eyebrows suggestively, then places another soft kiss on her neck.
"I like that idea," she smiles and kisses Willow's lips.
"Thought you might-" they kiss again, "Besides they're responsible and smart, they should be good drivers."
"Okay, I'll take them for their permits on Thursday." Kennedy gives in. She kisses her wife and then sits up turning to the stairs. "Now go away and let us make out will you?"
The girls who thought they were hiding giggle as they stand, "Thanks Mama-" they echo in unison.
"Hey I did the talking her into it-don't I get a thank you?"
"Mama will take care of that I'm sure," grins Aly as they run out.
"So are you really going to thank me?"
"What do you think?" She leans in and kisses her, then rolls her underneath her. As hands search for bare skin they hear the back door slam and five kids run through the kitchen and into the living room. "Later-" whispers Kennedy as she moves from the redhead.
"Promise?"
"Promise," assures the Slayer.
On Thursday two squealing teenagers run into the house with learner permits in hand. When they reach Willow they both start talking at once. "I passed," says Annie with and smile.
"It was so easy," adds Aly.
Willow smiles and hugs each of them. "I'm proud of you both."
"Thanks Mom," the twins reply in unison as they go to the counter and get cookies from the jar.
"Oh-I forgot, I'm supposed to call Jake." Annie turns to leave.
"No-I called first in the car, I'm calling Katie."
They almost knock the cookie jar in the floor as they fight to get their hand out. "Girls," cautions Willow to the air as they run up the stairs.
The girls yell, Sorry Mom," as they disappear from view.
A dejected Kennedy, the fake smile she had plastered on her face gone, looks at her redhead and leans her head on her shoulder. "Awe sweetie it was the written-you had to know they would pass it."
The Slayer whines, "But Will I don't want them to drive and I want to teach how to even less."
"I'll make you a deal-"
Kennedy stands up and her eyes meet soft green, "I love your deals, they're always yummy." She playfully wiggles her eyebrows.
"You teach Annie and I'll teach Aly."
"That's it?" questions the woman unsure. "No snuggles-no-"
"Sorry-" says the witch with a slight smile.
"If you teach both of them-I'll-" Kennedy smiles as she leans forward and whispers into her lover's ear.
The witch blushes a bright red at her words as she bites her bottom lip and nods, "Deal!"
"Want a down payment now?" She asks as she puts her arms around her redhead.
"Wouldn't complain," she smiles as Kennedy presses a soft kiss to her lips. As they continue to kiss they hear footsteps on the stairs. Willow pulls back and looks up to see Alex standing on the last stair. "Hey-"
"You might want to check on the twins," he says calmly.
"Which twins would that be?" asks the Slayer.
"The two fighting over the phone," he clarifies.
"They'll work it out," says the Slayer. "They need to learn to settle their own problems."
"Usually I would agree-but it's getting ugly."
They look at him unsure as they hear a loud thud from the upstairs hall. "What was that?" asks Willow.
"I'm guessing Aly hitting the wall shoulder first," answers Alex with a slight smile.
Kennedy is up the stairs two at a time before he can finish. Willow runs too- Alex shakes his head and goes to the cookie jar.
As Kennedy clears the landing she sees Aly throw Annie onto the floor and then jump on her. Annie tries to wrestle away but can't as her sister pries the phone from her hand. "Give-it-back," says Annie as she struggles to form words and fight.
"Enough!" orders Kennedy, her voice loud. The teenagers stop fighting and look up at their mama. Willow is now beside her.
"Give me the phone," her words show her seriousness. Aly hands her the phone without a response. "Room now-" continues the redhead.
"But Mom-" starts Annie.
"Not a word," informs the Slayer. The twins roll their eyes and turn to go. Willow and Kennedy follow them.
Two weeks later after the groundings end Willow is sitting in the passenger seat-her seatbelt securely in place. "Remember," she cautions Annie, "Always check left, then right, then left again before you pull out into the traffic.
"Left, right, left," repeats the Annie.
The redhead adds, "Just like crossing the street." The teenager nods and starts the car, then pulls forward. A car whizzes past them and she slams on the brakes. Her mom is jerked forward then back- "Careful!"
The next day Willow is in the car with Aly. The teenager is driving down a quiet street; her mom sitting beside her actually seems at ease. As they approach a stop sign the young Slayer slows down and looks both ways. She looks left, right, and left again just like she has been taught.
The redhead's eyes grow huge as she realizes what her daughter is about to do. "Aly-"
Aly then accelerates and speeds through the sign.
"Alyson-stop!"
The girl slams on the brakes, stopping in the intersection, "What?" asks the unsure Slayer.
"What?-" she is beside her self- "What did that sign say?-You know the big red one with eight sides?"
"Stop-" answers the new driver.
"And you didn't-why is that?"
"There were no cars," she answers without hesitation.
"It's not a stop if there's cars sign-it's a stop sign. The operative word being stop!" She is fighting hard to stay calm but her voice rises slightly.
"Sorry-" apologies the girl.
A week later Kennedy is fixing dinner as an angry Annie storms into the kitchen and up the stairs. Willow walks in and leans on the counter as she pours a cup of coffee. Aly follows her and doesn't stop as she goes toward the living room.
"I'm gonna guess not a fun driving day-"states the Slayer.
"I quit-" is the only comment the redhead makes as she takes her coffee and goes back out the door.
Kennedy turns the fire down on the pasta and goes out the door too. She finds her witch sitting on the swing. "You can't quit, remember the deal?" She whispers in her ear seductively, then kisses her behind the ear for good measure. As Kennedy's tongue snakes out and licks the same spot the redhead moans momentarily lost in the feelings.
"No-" she pulls away as realization of Kennedy's plan reaches through the fog of lust. "No way, I don't care. It's not worth it."
The Slayer is shocked and a little hurt by her words. "Not worth it?" Her sad eyes meet Willow's.
"I'm sorry baby-I love you and I love-" she blushes slightly- "but I can't get back in the car with them.-Please don't make me." She stands and leans her forehead against Kennedy's and wraps her arms around her.
"Okay-we'll figure something else out," assures the Slayer.
A few days later Faith and Kennedy are patrolling. The once dark Slayer can tell that the other is distracted. "What's up Junior-you're mind's not here. Number one Slayer no-no."
"Sorry-just the girls have their permits and Willow doesn't want to teach them anymore-"
"And you?"
"I'll yell-"
"Want me to teach them?" asks Faith.
"You'd do that?"
"If you want," she replies with a half smile.
"But it'll cost me right?"
"Just cover my patrol next weekend."
"Deal-but you not wanting to patrol seems not right."
"Robin's birthday-I can be his present." She smiles and raises an eyebrow suggestively. Kennedy smiles too.
The next day Faith, Aly, and Annie are standing outside her car. "Who wants to be first?" asks the Slayer.
"Me-" they answer in unison. Faith smiles and tosses the keys in the air. The teenagers wrestle for them and Annie comes up from the ground with them.
"Start her up-" smiles Faith. The girl gets in the driver's seat. Faith gets up front in the passenger seat and dejected, Aly sits in the back. "Don't worry pint-size, you'll get a turn," assures the woman as she looks in the mirror at Aly.
Later, Faith stands in the entry way with Kennedy and Willow. The twins are now in the kitchen. "Sorry," says Faith. "It's just I got to think about my kids. I can't be reckless like I was before."
"We understand," says Willow.
"And I'll still cover your weekend-you earned it," Kennedy adds.
"They're really bad-" she says as she leaves.
Willow and Kennedy look at each other. "Now what?" Asks Kennedy.
"Xander," smiles the redhead.
"Xander?" Kennedy questions. Willow simply nods.
Xander sits in the driver's seat in the middle of a parking lot. The twin Slayer's sit rather impatiently in the back. He is lecturing them on the finer points of driving.
"You've been married to Aunt Buffy for too long," says Annie. Xander looks confused.
"You lecture just like her," clarifies Aly. "Enough with the speeches."
"Can we just drive please?"
He smiles ready to return their sharp remarks, his tone playful- "According to the people in the know-well, no." They glare at him. "But we're gonna try anyway. You first Aly."
At the house Willow and Kennedy are playing a board game with the other kids. Alex smiles as Erin lands on Boardwalk- "You owe me one hundred and seventy-five dollars."
"Do I Mommy?" questions the child.
"Afraid so-" confirms the redhead. She begins to count the money out to him.
The door opens and a few seconds later they hear feet on the stairs. Xander walks into the room- "Who's winning?"
"Me," answers Alex with a smile.
"It's the name-" they both smile.
"So-the driving?"
Xander looks toward the kitchen and the adults start that way. "Be right back," says Kennedy.
They all sit down at the counter, "That bad?" questions Willow.
"I'm sorry Willow but I-if you need a new window installed or even a new wing added on, I'm your guy-no problem." Willow looks at him sadly-her best puppy dog eyes, Xander shakes his head. "It's not gonna work- Not getting back in the car with them."
The parents both nod and Xander hugs them as he goes out the back door. "Now who?"
Kennedy shakes her head. "Maybe Giles."
"When I asked, he said and I quote- 'Bloody hell' then he started cleaning his glasses."
"That means no?"
"Actually I think hell no is a better interpretation," corrects Willow.
"Buffy?"
"Buffy?" repeats the redhead. "You really want our kids in the car with her?"
"Who better?-I mean if for no other reason than for them to be as scared as everyone else has been with them."
"Does seem only fair, come to think of it." Kennedy nods and Willow smiles. "Okay-I'll call her."
Buffy is sitting in the backseat of the car. Annie is behind the wheel while Aly sits in the passenger side seat. The car is running but not moving. "Let's go-" instructs the blonde Slayer.
"No speeches or advice?" asks Annie.
"One word-drive."
"Where?"
"Anywhere-go."
"All right," says Annie with a smile across her face. She pulls out into the traffic after looking left, right, then left again. She jerks a little before getting to full speed but Buffy just sits silently. Annie smiles relieved.
Later Aly is driving. She pulls up in front of her house. She nearly sends them through the windshield but still Buffy is smiling as she looks back at her through the rearview mirror. The teenager straightens the car behind her mom's and puts it in park.
They all exit the car and go into the house together. Kennedy and Willow are in the kitchen and seem a little relieved when they see they are all fine. The girls start up the stairs but stoop- "Thanks Aunt Buffy-" says Annie.
"Sure-I'll see you tomorrow." The twins jog up toward their room.
The Slayer and her redhead look at each other and then the blonde. "So how'd it go-" dares Kennedy.
"Good," she says simply as she picks up an apple.
"Good?" comes Willow's uncertain echo.
"They just need to relax-get some experience without the pressure."
"Pressure?" asks Kennedy.
"They can do everything-this they're not the greatest at yet. But they can and will be."
"Right-okay." Kennedy again looks and sees the smile on Willow's face.
"Later-" she says as she goes out the door with her apple.
Kennedy looks unsure- "You think they think we put too much pressure on them to be perfect?"
"Maybe we should ask-" suggests the redhead.
"Sounds like a plan-after dinner stargazing?"
"I like that idea." Willow leans into Kennedy's arms. "I don't want them to have to be perfect-"
"I know-" she kisses the top of her head.
Baseball, Cars, and Dating
Willow is sitting on the back porch swing watching the kids play as she sips some tea. She has a slight smile on her face. Aly and Annie walk through the back gate and over to her. "How was the driving lesson?" She asks as they sit on each side of her.
"Good," answers Aly.
"She says we'll be ready for the test in a couple of weeks," continues Annie.
"Really?" The teenagers nod. "That's great-"
"But it makes you nervous right?" Aly looks at her mom.
"A little but mostly it makes me sad."
"Sad-" the young Slayer looks confused.
"You're growing up so fast-driving cars, you'll graduate in the spring-it doesn't seem possible." They each put an arm around their mother and she does the same.
"We can't stay little forever-" says Annie.
"Who made that dumb rule?" She sort of smiles and they do too.
Annie stands, "I'm going to get ready for my date-"
"See," teasingly- "more growing up."
"Mom-" Annie rolls her eyes.
"Just teasing-what time are you meeting him?"
"About that-he wanted-we wanted, can he drive us?"
"Annie, you know the rules."
"Weren't we just talking about dumb rules?" Willow gives her a stern look. "Fine-I had to try."
"Yes you did." Annie starts inside. Aly and Willow continue to rock. "Something not right sweetie?"
"Just feeling a little blucky-" she snuggles against her mom's shoulder.
Willow kisses her forehead, "I think you have a bit of a fever, let's get you some Tylenol and tuck you in bed."
"Tylenol-yes, bed-no. Katie will be here, we're going out to eat."
"Maybe just a tiny nap-" she stands and takes Aly's hand the teenaged Slayer stands too. Aly leans into her again and Willow puts an arm around her waist as they walk.
An hour later Annie and Jake have left for the movies, while Aly still sleeps. Her rest is a fitful one, her fever is now worse at almost one hundred and two. Willow is standing in the doorway and Kennedy walks up to her. "Gail said Katie had already left."
"You think we should call the doctor?" The redhead looks at her Slayer concerned.
"Let's give it a little longer, it's probably the flu."
"Yeah-okay." Kennedy puts her arms around the woman. "I hate when they're sick."
"I know-" They hear the doorbell ring. "I'll get it."
A few minutes later Katie is sitting on the edge of the bed. Aly slowly opens her eyes, "Katie?"
"Hey-"
"I'll be ready in just a-" she tries to sit up but stops when the room starts to spin and she feels Katie's hand on her shoulder.
"Sorry Super Slayer but you're not getting up." She presses a kiss to her forehead.
"But we were-"
"Yeah-" she lowers her voice, "I know what we were-" she smiles and bites her bottom lip. "Next weekend, promise." She brushes a stray hair behind her girlfriend's ear. "Go back to sleep."
"Thirsty-"
Katie gets a glass from the nightstand and hands it to her Slayer, "O.J.-definitely make you feel better."
"Thanks," she takes a small sip and lies back on the bed handing the glass to Katie. "You should go-don't want you sick-"
"Just close your eyes-"
"I'd rather stare into yours," she forces a smile.
"Flirt-" Katie smiles too.
"You love it-" Aly's eyes drift closed.
Katie takes her hand, "I love you," she whispers softly.
"Heard that-" Aly smiles her eyes still closed.
"Good."
"I love you," Aly returns.
"Sleep," Katie smiles as she squeezes her hand.
That night Jake and Annie are on the front porch kissing. She pulls back and bites her bottom lip. "Lunch tomorrow?" She asks.
"Picnic in the park?"
"Sounds good-" she smiles. She puts her hands on his chest and he leans in and kisses her again. As lips open and close against lips his hands find their way to her waist.
'Okay-enough. Time to come inside.'
She jumps startled, "What the frilly heck!" She realizes it was her mama and relaxes, but not before Jake thinks he's done something wrong.
"Sorry," he mumbles as he puts his hands in his pockets.
"No-no, it's okay not you-I swear." She puts her hands inside his jacket pockets and brings his out. She looks in his eyes as she puts them back on her waist. "Kiss me." Not having to be told twice he leans in and kisses her lips softly. Tentatively she brushes her tongue against his lip and his mouth opens. She begins to explore-finally as their breathing becomes ragged she pulls away.
"Wow-" he smiles as she bites her lip.
"Yeah-but it's late, night Jake."
"Night-see you tomorrow." He kisses her gently. "Park at one."
She nods as he backs away and then she turns opening the door.
As she goes inside she stops looking at her mama, "What was that?"
"You have a curfew," defends Kennedy.
"And I was on the front porch-"
"We'll talk tomorrow."
"No-we'll talk now;" both her daughter's words and her tone surprise Kennedy.
"Annie go to your room before it's the only place you're allowed to be," the Slayer struggles to keep her words calm.
"Fine-but you know-" she turns and jogs up the stairs past Willow who is walking down them, empty glass in hand.
"What happened?"
"How's Aly," Kennedy avoids the question.
"Sleeping-again what happened?"
"They were on the porch too long."
Willow lets the words soak in before responding, "Tell me you didn't go out there-"
"I didn't go out there," Kennedy repeats.
"Did you flick the lights on and off?"
"Nope," the Slayer replies.
"Kennedy?" Their eyes meet.
"I just told her to come inside telepathically."
The redhead leans her forehead against her wife's. "Sweetie."
"I know I shouldn't have but-"
"Get Aly some more juice and I'll talk to her."
"No-I'll talk to her-" says Kennedy. Willow kisses her softly, then goes toward the kitchen. The Slayer takes a deep breath and goes up the steps.
Annie is lying on the bed in the extra room staring up at the ceiling-she is still angry. Angry with her mama for interrupting, angry with Jake for always backing away, angry with herself for not telling him how she feels; just angry. She hears a knock on the open door. "Can I come in?" Kennedy asks from the hallway. The teenager sits up, looks at her mama and nods. "I messed up," the Slayer confesses as she sits on the end of the bed.
"Yeah," agrees Annie.
"It's just-I worry."
"You don't have to-"
"Maybe not but the whole dating thing-it wigs me out." Kennedy smiles and so does Annie.
"Cause you think we should still be your little girls?"
"No-because I know you're not. Sooner or later and I have to admit I'd prefer later you're gonna meet a guy that you care about."
"I care about Jake-"
"I figured and then-things are gonna happen."
"How many times are we gonna have this sex talk?"
"Probably a few more."
"You don't need to-still holding fast at first base. We kiss-that's all we do."
Kennedy can hear the frustration in her daughter's voice, "But you want more?"
"Well-I-I wouldn't mind checking out second, just to see what it's like."
Her mama smiles, "Always liked second." Her mind drifts to her early make out sessions with Willow. She is pulled from her thoughts as she realizes Annie is talking.
"How do I tell him second is okay?"
"You could always show him instead."
"Show him?"
"Put his hands where you want them-" Annie blushes slightly at her mama's words. "Just take things slow from there."
"Yeah-I got it," nods the girl.
Once in her room Kennedy sits on the bed and mumbles, "Damn."
Willow is putting on her pajamas. "Things not go well?" She asks as she presses a kiss to her wife's forehead, "She won't stay mad forever." Willow crawls into bed.
"No, we talked, it's just I did something really st-"
"Not smart-you know I don't like that word."
"Sorry-I told her to-" She just shakes her head. "She said things were kind of stuck at first base and she wanted to try second-" her words stop again.
Willow understands without words her hands caress Kennedy's body. "You told her to show him?"
The Slayer nods, her eyes closed as she gets lost in her hands on her, "Oh yeah-but how'd you know?"
"Always action girl-"
Kennedy turns to face Willow and curls into her. They are spooned together, Kennedy in her redhead's arms. "Remember when we were at second base?"
"I do-" she smiles as her hands slip up to cup Kennedy's breasts. As she teases them the girl moans. She soon begins to place soft kisses on her lover's shoulder. "Want me to show you?"
"Please-"
Annie and Jake are at the park the next day feeding the ducks. They are standing at the rail looking into the water. She slips her arm around him and she smiles when he does the same. He kisses her softly and they talk.
Later they are sitting on a blanket eating and talking. "This was fun," he smiles as he leans in and kisses her softly and then pulls back. She smiles and then gets a mischievous look on her face. Before he realizes what has happened a grape hits him and then another. "Hey, stop that."
"Make me-" she smiles raising her eyebrow at him. He reaches toward her and tries to get the grapes from her. He stops however when she begins to tickle him. He struggles away and tickles her. Soon they are lying side by side on the blanket their eyes meeting. His hands are still on her sides but not moving.
"Annie-" he seems unsure.
"It's okay-" she moves her hands to his and closes her eyes as she moves them up and down her body. She lets them go as she feels his lips on hers and relaxes into the kiss. She moans slightly as his hands continue to stroke her body. He finally breaks the kiss, resting his forehead on hers. His fingers now caress her sides. "Feels so good-" she struggles to keep her eyes open as he moves a little higher, stopping just below her left breast.
At home Aly is still in bed. Her fever has broken but she is now sick at her stomach. She can't keep anything down. Her mom brings in crackers and soda. "Try this sweetie." Aly shakes her head. "Just a little, you need to try to get something on your stomach." She hands her daughter a cracker and she eats it slowly. "I almost forgot." She takes a card from her pocket and gives it to the girl.
"What is it?" She asks then smiles as she opens it.
"A Get Well card from the kids."
She reads it and her smiles increases, "Tell them thanks." She takes another bite of the cracker than hands it to her mom.
"Want the soda?"
"Maybe later."
"I'll put it on the nightstand." The girl lies back down and Willow straightens her covers. She kisses her forehead. "Try to sleep a little." The teenager closes her eyes.
Aly is just waking up when she feels someone sit on the edge of her bed, "Mom?"
"Try again," says Katie as she takes her hand.
"You shouldn't be here-I don't want you sick."
"I'll take my chances." She hands Aly a single white rose. "For you."
Aly bites her bottom lip, "Wow-thanks."
"Feel better soon-I miss-" she stops but smiles as she blushes slightly.
"So do I-" agrees Aly.
Katie kisses her hand, "You should sleep." She touches her face with her hand. Her thumb begins to slowly caress her jaw line. Aly's eyes close. Willow watches from the doorway, her face shows some concern.
In the kitchen their is chaos-though organized. Kennedy is watching as the five youngest kids fill their bowls with ice cream and then add their favorite toppings. Willow smiles as she watches from the stairs. Kennedy walks toward her and they meet half way. The Slayer wraps her arms around her from behind and pulls her close. "How's Aly?"
"Better I think-"
"I thought I saw your worried face."
"No-it's not that."
"Then what?"
Willow tries to change the subject, "Did you save us some toppings for later?" She bites her lip and raises an eyebrow suggestively.
"Yes-but you aren't avoiding the question."
"We'll talk later."
"You walk in on them kissing?"
"Not exactly."
"What exactly?" Kennedy is now worried.
"Later-" she says glad Erin joins them.
"Want a sundae Mommy? I can make me another one."
"No thanks sweetie-you eat it." The child walks to the table with it.
The distraction gone Kennedy tries again, "Will-were they-"
"No-no, just-it's hard to explain. Come on-see for yourself." They walk up the stairs and toward the teenager's bedroom.
As they stand in the doorway the scene before them takes them both by surprise. Katie is leaning against the headboard her eyes are closed. Aly's head rests on Katie's stomach, their fingers are laced together on Katie's leg. The fingers of Katie's free hand brush up and down Aly's back. "Wow-" is Kennedy's only reply.
"Intimate-"says Willow her voice soft.
"Like it's second nature, instinctive."
"Definitely something they've done before." They stand quietly.
Later Kennedy and Willow are swinging and talking. "You have to admit-she comes from a family of snugglers," Kennedy says.
"True-but snuggling and after sex cuddling are two entirely different things." Kennedy smiles. "What-I don't see anything remotely amusing."
"Sex-you said sex and didn't blush."
"I'm too worried to blush-" admits the redhead.
"We'll talk to her-okay, till then try not to worry." Kennedy kisses her softly.
"I can't promise."
Upstairs the Aly begins to slowly wake up-she seems unsure as she realizes her position. "Comfy?" Asks Katie's soft voice.
Aly looks up at her and smiles, "It's nice." Katie's hand strokes her back again.
"Come here-" whispers Katie. Aly crawls up beside her and rests her head on her girlfriend's shoulder. Katie turns and kisses her lips softly.
Aly pulls away- "We shouldn't-"
"Your parents?"
"No-You could get sick."
"Don't care," she says softly as she leans in and kisses her again. As their lips open and close in a rhythm together Katie's hand moves from Aly's waist up her side then around to cup her left breast. The rhythm there is the same causing a soft moan, which is captured by her lips. She breaks the kiss as her lips trail down Aly's neck. She kisses and nips there playfully, her hand moving to the other breast. This time the moan escapes. "Shhhh-baby," she whispers against wet skin.
"Trying-" her voice is deeper than normal as she is lost again to the feelings coursing through her body. Aly manages to pull Katie's lips back to hers and their kissing resumes. This time it is more hungry and insistent as Aly presses her tongue into Katie's mouth and explores it. She manages to turn them so that Katie is now under her. Katie tries to get comfortable her movement causing both to straddle the other's leg, they break the kiss needing air. -Aly's words are breathy- "We can't-" she fights her body's need for friction as Katie raises her leg slightly. "Katie-"
"Sorry-" smiles the girl.
"Liar-" smiles Aly. "Too fast-"
"Okay-no pressure-I'm sorry." She lowers her leg back to the bed.
"Just don't be mad?"
"I'm not mad-besides I can wait." She smiles, "It'll be worth it."
Aly leans down kissing her softly. As she pulls back she moves beside her girlfriend and they cuddle together wrapped in each other's arms. Aly's eyes close and Katie kisses her forehead, almost instantly the sick young Slayer is asleep. Katie looks toward the door and sees Kennedy standing there. The teenager is worried, not sure how long the Slayer has been there. She moves from Aly carefully, not wanting to wake her. She walks toward Kennedy, "She just fell asleep."
"I see-" there is a pause, "I saw-and we should talk."
She swallows hard, "Ah-talk-okay." Kennedy leaves the room and Katie follows sure she is going to be told that she can't see Aly anymore.
Once in the study, with tears in her eyes, Katie faces Kennedy-
"Before you say anything-what you saw wasn't, we weren't-"
"You weren't making out?"
"Making out-yeah okay we were. We shouldn't have been-"
"That's right-" Kennedy smiles. Katie is confused, "Because she's sick, she needs to rest and you shouldn't be that close."
"Right-got it. I'll stay away till she's well. That's cool."
"Katie-" Kennedy motions for the teenager to sit down on the couch and she does. Kennedy sits down across from her on the coffee table. "The two of you have been going out for a while now."
"Almost five months-"supplies Katie.
"So it's safe to say you like her?"
"Yeah-" she nods.
"Do you love her?"
Again she nods, "Yeah, I do. A-and before you say we're too young to know what love is-"
"I wasn't-"
"Good-"
They are quiet for a few seconds before Kennedy speaks again. "You know anything about baseball?"
"Some, I went to a few games while we were in Cleveland-why?" She is becoming more confused by the minute.
"So you know that there are four bases?"
"Actually three bases and a home plate," corrects the teenager.
"Right-and the object of the game is to score-you know to get home."
Their eyes meet and Katie begins to see where the conversation is going. She smiles at the analogy- "I guess-sort of."
"Do you understand that sometimes if a runner is too fast, she takes too many chances and can get thrown out?"
"Got it. Slow is good."
Kennedy nods her approval. "Glad to see you understand."
A few days later Annie walks into the training room to find her mama stretching before her workout. "Got a minute?"
"Sure-want to spar while we talk?"
"I guess-" she begins to stretch too. "Hand to hand?"
"If you want."
"Cool-" hand to hand is her favorite. Her size gives her a slight advantage, she is nearly two inches taller than her mama.
They begin to jab at each other playfully at first. "What did you need?"
"Ah-" she dodges a right hand. "I thought I'd ask- Jake and I-well next week there's a dance."
"Sounds nice," she ducks a roundhouse kick. "You need money for a dress?"
"No-I mean yes, but that's not what-" she loses focus and steps into a hard left hand.
"You okay?"
"Yeah-what I get for thinking about a guy while I fight." She half smiles. "You think for just one night we could lose the no car rule?" Kennedy thinks and for her trouble gets a front kick to the head and goes down. "Geez-sorry-Mama are you okay?"
"Fine-" she sits up and Annie sits beside her.
"It would be weird to go the Homecoming Dance with your parents driving."
"Just this once?" asks Kennedy. Annie nods. "I'll talk to your mom."
"Great-thanks."
"Sure." Annie stands she reaches her hand down to help her mama up, but as Kennedy takes her hand an stands she flips the teenager to the mat. "Never let down your guard." Annie looks up at her.
Aly and Katie are standing on the back porch after a library session to get homework caught up. "You really don't want to go to the dance?"
"Not really," answers Aly. "But if you want-"
"No-just want to be with you, the where doesn't matter." She leans over and kisses her redhead softly on the lips. Her hands slip around her waist. As the kiss escalates, tongues explore first in one mouth and then the other. Katie's hands begin to move up Aly's body. She stops short of her breasts and the young Slayer opens her eyes unsure. She pulls out of the kiss- "Something wrong?"
She takes Katie's hands and moves then to her breasts, "Not now-" she smiles and kisses her again. Her hands rest on Katie's back pulling them closer. Her fingers search out and find bare skin.
"Mmm-" Katie moans and breaks the kiss, "Aly-boundaries remember?"
"Sorry-" she leans her forehead against Katie's. "On top of clothes-got it." She pulls the teenager toward the swing. Katie sits down when her legs hit the seat. Aly sits on her lap straddling her. They kiss again as hands resume their exploration. It is Katie this time that strays from the ground rules as her hands trail down Aly's back to her butt and then her thighs. "Above the waist-" is Aly's breathy response.
"Forgot-" their lips join again as her hand return to Aly's back.
They break apart as they hear someone clear their throat. "Get your work finished?" Asks a blushing Willow?
Aly slides off Katie's lap and onto the swing, "Yeah-"
"Then you should probably say good night."
"We were-I mean right," says Aly. Willow goes into the house. Aly stands, "I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Save me a seat at lunch," Katie stands in front of her.
"Always," she kisses her softly. "Careful going home."
"Yeah-I'll call you when I get there." She walks across the back yard. Aly watches her to the gate and then goes into the house.
Inside Willow is pouring a cup of tea. Aly sits at the counter- "Tea?" asks her mother.
"No-but can we talk?"
"Sure-"
"Katie and I-"
"If you're worried that I'm gonna freak about the make out session on the porch-I'm not."
"No?"
"No."
"Want to explain why?"
"Okay-" she sits down with her tea beside her daughter. "For one I know you-you set limits and you stick to them."
"Okay-"
"Two, I know you're not gonna rush into anything you're not ready for."
They are quiet, "Mom," her eyes meet Willow's green- "Would you freak if I told you I thought I was ready?"
Willow looks a little surprised, "Maybe -just a little." Again they are quiet.
"We haven't-but-the limits they're getting a little blurry."
"You should talk to Katie-"
"Yeah-I just wanted you to know that it could happen."
"Thank you-I know it wasn't easy."
"Easier then I thought." She leans forward and kisses her mom on the cheek. "Thanks-"
"Night-" Aly walks up the stairs. Willow watches the girl out of sight as tears form in her eyes but don't fall.
In her room the redhead is spooned protectively in Kennedy's strong arms. Kennedy is trying to sooth her lover's fears. "She's sixteen-it's too young." Kennedy kisses her shoulder. "She's just a little girl." She fights tears. "Remember when she was born?"
"I remember-I was scared, and you-you were great."
The memories of that day play in Willow's mind. She recalls the walk in the garden, Kennedy falling apart when trying to call the doctor- 'I can't remember the number' she hugs her. She thinks back to the emotions of the long labor-her fears her worries and finally she remembers holding her for the first time. "Seems like yesterday."
"Over sixteen years-hell none of them are babies anymore. Kara and Kristen are ten."
"Ever think about-"
"More babies?"
"Yeah-"
"Sometimes-"
"One more?"
"We'll talk about it-when you're not-"
"Weepy and sentimental?" The redhead smiles.
"Something like that," Kennedy holds her tighter.
The next day Willow and Kennedy are sitting in each other's arms on the balcony. "So-do we let Jake drive to Homecoming?"
"I guess," concedes Willow. "But when you tell her-"
"I'll have the sex talk again."
"Thank you."
On the day of Homecoming Willow is helping Annie get ready. The teenager is nervous- "You sure the dress is okay?"
"The dress is beautiful-you're beautiful," she smiles as she touches her daughter's cheek with her hand. Annie smiles.
Downstairs Aly is sitting at the counter eating cookies. Kennedy comes in the back door. "Hey Mama-cookies?" She reaches the plate toward her mama.
"Yummy-" says the Slayer as she takes one and sits beside her daughter. After taking a bite and chewing she swallows. "Chocolate chip-"
"My favorite."
"Aly-you sure someone didn't say something about you and Katie going together to the dance?"
"No Mama-we just didn't want to go."
"What do you have planned then?"
"Hanging out at Katie's watching movies."
"Making out on the couch?" Asks Kennedy with a raised eyebrow.
"Probably do that too-" She is quiet then her eyes meet Kennedy's. "Thanks for not-I mean most parents would have-Katie told me that you saw-heard-" she stops, unsure how to continue.
"I got it- watch for stolen bases-" smiles her mama.
"The lead off of second is getting bigger-but it's a mutual thing."
"Are you sure it's mutual?"
"We talked about boundaries-changing them a little."
"Can I ask which one?"
"Ah-well-" she starts to blush.
"Know what your Uncle Xander always said-" she shakes her head.
"If you're doing it-you should be able to say it."
"Makes sense-" she is still hesitant.
"I'll help you out, which did you change? The on top of the clothes stuff or the below the waist stuff?"
"Ah-yeah-"
"Both?"
Aly nods, "But we haven't done either just talked about it."
"Whose idea?"
"Ours-me one, her the other."
"But you're okay with it?"
Before the conversation can continue Willow comes down the stairs and Annie follows. "Wow-"
"You look great!" Adds Aly.
They hear the front door bell ring. "He's here-"
"Relax-I'll get it and tell him you'll be just a few minutes." Willow goes toward the entranceway.
Aly stands, "Have fun-" she jogs up the stairs.
Kennedy looks at her daughter, "Little nervous?"
"A lot nervous-bats flying around in there," she puts her hand on her stomach.
"You'll be fine-" she hugs her, "Have a good time remember your curfew."
"One wasn't it?"
"Midnight-"
"Right-"
"Just like Cinderella," adds Kennedy. They walk toward the door.
At the dance Jake and Annie are wrapped in each other's arms dancing to a slow song. He whispers in her ear and she smiles, resting her head on his chest.
Later at the Evans' house Katie and Aly are lying on the couch spooned together watching a movie. Katie has her arms around Aly-her hands resting on her waist. She leans down and presses a kiss to her hair. "Still awake?"
"Yeah-" she takes in a sharp breath as Katie's hands knead her breasts. "Hmmm-" she closes her eyes tightly as she leans into Katie. "Feels so good-" gasps the young Slayer, her breathing speeding up. Katie moves one hand down Aly's body to her waist and begins to work her fingers under her shirt to bare skin. Aly's body shivers-and she moans softly. The hand traces soft circles and moves under her bra to her bare breast, "Goddess!" cries Aly as she arches into her hand. "Katie-I-" her breathing is harder-almost desperate.
The teenager's hands still- "Aly-are you okay? Did I do something wrong?"
Aly forces a laugh- "Wrong-no baby-not wrong." Katie's hands begin their rhythm again and Aly is lost.
As the last song plays Annie and Jake kiss softly. "Annie-I-I love you."
"Yeah?" she forces the word, tries to keep tears away. "That's good-cause I love you too." They kiss again lost in the sound of the music.
At the Evan's house Katie is sitting on Aly's lap-straddling her. The young couple is kissing and hands are caressing as the young Slayer begins to unbutton Katie's blouse. She kisses her again as she continues-when the top hangs open she eases it of her shoulders to expose tanned skin. Aly's eyes fall to stare at bra covered breasts and Katie smiles. She puts her hand on Aly's chin and raises her head until their eyes meet. "See something you like?"
The teenager nods. Before she can speak Katie reaches around and unhooks her bra-as it falls from her body Aly glances down again. "Beautiful-" she whispers-dragging her eyes to meet Katie's. She rubs her palms against her own legs.
"You wanna touch?" Aly nods- "You can."
"You sure?"
"Oh yeah-" Katie reaches forward and takes Aly's hands-she puts them on her shoulders. Her eyes are locked with Aly's- "Please?"
Aly swallows hard then lips her lips nervously. She moves first one hand and then the other down her arms slowly and then rests them on her waist. Without hesitation she drags her fingers up her sides with a smile-Katie gasps then fights a giggle as Aly tickles her playfully. As her fingers near Katie's breasts Aly slows- "You're sure?" Katie nods-her hand again taking Aly's and moving it to her breast. They both moan at the contact. "Unbelievable-" whispers Aly. She leans forward and kisses Katie. As their lips open and close in rhythm together Aly's hands find the same pace-as her fingers begin to trace around the sensitive nipple Katie pulls her lips from Aly's.
"I need to touch you-" her words are breathy- she slides her hands under Aly's top and she matches the same rhythm.
Aly's lips kiss Katie's neck and then her shoulder they seem to be moving of their own accord down her girlfriend's body-just short of her right breast Aly stops and looks up for a go ahead. Katie's eyes are closed, her head is tilted back and her lips are open slightly. Katie cries out Aly's name as she flicks her tongue across the tip and them take it into her mouth. As she sucks gently Katie moves on her lap causing a little friction for the Slayer. Her hands move to Katie's butt as they rock together.
Finally it is Katie who pulls away, she stands up- "Wow-okay-slowing down now or I'm gonna have you naked under me-"
Aly tries to steady her breathing, "And that's bad how?"
"Ah-I'm not sure I just think-"
"Too fast?"
"Oh-yeah second to home in 4.2-" She begins to slip her shirt back on as she sits beside the young Slayer. "God-you are amazing what you can do-what you make me feel-"
Aly blushes, "Yeah?"
"Definitely-"
"You were-you felt, I could get lost in you," admits Aly.
"Can I get lost in you?"
Aly smiles and holds her arms above her head, "Seems fair-" Katie pulls the shirt over her head.
After the dance Annie and Jake are parked at the point overlooking the park. They are both a little nervous- "Never made out in a car before," he says softly as he kisses her lips.
"Me neither-might not again for awhile-"
"So we should make the best of it," he smiles and kisses her neck softly.
"Like that-"
"Good-how about this?" He kisses just behind her ear and she moans, biting her bottom lip. He kisses down her neck to her pulse point and begins to nip gently, playfully-then just as suddenly he begins to bite her-teeth touch soft flesh and Annie pulls away her stake in hand...
Making Out
Jake looks shocked as he backs away from the raised stake. "Sorry-I-mean I thought-"
Annie looks unsure and then embarrassed as she sees both his surprised face and his lack of fangs, "Oh-geez-I'm-I didn't-" she lowers the stake. "Neck, teeth, the whole vampire Slayer thing-" she babbles as she realizes she has over reacted.
Jake is still confused, "No-I should have asked before-it's okay if you don't want-"
She interrupts, "I so want-again it's just a Slayer thing- but" She bites her bottom lip hoping he understands just a little. "That and I'm nervous but it's cool-really-" he stops her babble like all babble is stopped in her family-with soft lips on lips. As they relax into the kiss it begins to intensify. He tentatively brushes his tongue against her lips and she opens them to him. As he explores the inside of her mouth, her hands play in his hair. The uneasiness of only minutes ago, gone as their make out session moves forward.
As for make out sessions, the one at the Evans' house continues as well. Aly is lying on her back with Katie kissing a path down her throat to her breast. As she teases there the young Slayer moans-her breathing erratic. Her hands tangle in Katie's hair as her girlfriend gently sucks one breast then the other. Aly whines as she moves down her toned stomach-pressing soft kisses. At the waist of her hip huggers, Aly stops her girl's movement. She opens her eyes and Katie looks up at her-she moves slowly, teasingly back up the redhead's body. As she looks her in the eye she speaks, her voice deeper than normal- "Sorry-wasn't thinking-well that's not true-" she smiles, "just wasn't thinking about the right thing."
"It was-I wasn't really complaining-" Katie raises an unbelieving eyebrow. "Okay-it was a little rushy but-it was-" she smiles, "it felt good-better than good." They kiss again and again after only a few seconds things are heating up. Aly's hands roam to Katie's butt and squeeze gently forcing closer contact. They moan together-
Katie after getting herself under control pulls back, "Okay-we really need a break-ice cream sound good to you?" She sits up and looks on the floor for her shirt and bra.
Aly sits up and smiles, "Never could say no to ice cream-though have to admit, this time there was a second there." She picks up her own clothes and they dress in silence. At first it was okay but the longer they went without words the more strained things seemed.
Aly reaches out and touches Katie's arm- "Hey-" smiles the taller girl. Katie sees the concern in Aly's eyes- "We're okay right?"
"I hope-"Aly says.
"I am-"assures Katie.
"So am I-" Aly leans in and kisses her cheek.
"But we do need to talk about-" admits Katie.
"Yeah-we should, I want-when we do-" she stops and takes Katie's hand and their eyes meet. "I love you and I want us to make love-but I'm not sure-I don't want it to be because we get lost."
"I get that-" she leans forward and kisses her lips softly. "It should be special-"
"Yeah-I think so too."
Again they are quiet- "So-ice cream or mochas?" asks Katie.
"I have to choose-can't, made too many choices already tonight." Aly smiles.
"You can have both. I don't have to sleep in your house-you can bounce off the walls all night." She kisses her and giggles as they stand.
"Goody-" says Aly.
And the make out sessions continue. At the Langdon house, with the younger kids all tucked into bed, Willow and Kennedy are on the couch kissing passionately. Hands explore under clothes and the redhead moans softly as her Slayer's knee bends and her strong thigh meets her center. "Feels so good-I'd forgotten," is her breathy reply as she rocks herself slowly.
Kennedy kisses her jaw and then down to her ear-she licks there playfully knowing how much it turns her wife on. The redhead rocks faster-pushing herself closer to the edge- "You taste so good-" pants Kennedy as she attaches her lips to her redhead's neck and begins to lick and then takes the fresh into her mouth and sucks gently at first but harder and she feels Willow tremble beneath her.
"Oh-Goddess-I-I'm gonna-" before she can finish, she falls hard. Kennedy lowers her leg and pulls her tightly against her stroking her back as she comes down from her high. They kiss softly, both flushed from their actions. Kenney kisses her neck again and Willow realizes it is a little tender- "Tell me you didn't-"
"Sorry baby-you just taste-I'm sorry," she repeats.
"No you're not-" says the witch with a smile.
"No-I'm not-" she admits also smiling.
"It's a territorial Slayer thing isn't it-marking me so everyone knows?"
"Maybe-but I think it's just me needing you-" They kiss softly again.
Willow pulls out of the kiss her hands on Kennedy's back under her shirt- "The girls will be home soon-"
The Slayer turns so she can see the clock- "They have ten minutes-which means they're somewhere making out."
Willow smiles, "Why doesn't that fact bother you-Miss My Kids Won't Date till they're thirty?"
"Can't explain it-not even gonna try."
"So-are we gonna spy on them?" The redhead smiles.
"First instinct is yes-but then I think no-making out instead sounds like more fun!" She wiggles her eyebrows playfully and leans back in to attack the redhead's neck again. She squeals as she pretends to try to escape.
On the front porch Jake is kissing Annie. They are in each other's arms as tongues explore first in her mouth and then his. As they break for air his hands move to her hips, "Good night."
She puts her hands on his chest and leans in initiating another kiss. This one is as intense and after a few seconds they break for air each breathing with some difficultly, "Night," she says when she is able to speak.
"Can seem to stop-" he kisses her again this time just a soft touch of lips on lips.
"Didn't really want to anyway-" they kiss again lost in each other as their hands begin to roam.
On the back porch the scene is pretty much the same. Aly and Katie and kissing-lips are opening and closing against lips as hands rest on butts holding them as close as possible. "W-we real-ly need to st-stop," says Katie struggling to breath-her voice a whisper, deep- full of passion and need. She moves her hands to Aly's hips and takes a small step back.
Aly closes the distance and leans her forehead against Katie's, "I know-" her voice is the same-she smiles, "but it's hard."
"Yeah-I want you-need you." They kiss again but she pulls away before it can become too heated.
"Soon-" Aly says surprising them both just a little.
"Soon?"
"If you're sure-I-I am," their eyes meet, green on blue.
"I-I am."
"Then we'll talk about it-come over for lunch tomorrow."
"Here?"
"Yeah-that way we can actually talk-too many kids to let things get-you know." She smiles.
"Tomorrow-then." She kisses her softly. "Night."
"Sweet dreams-" Aly says-as she touches her cheek with her hand.
"Definitely now-" They kiss one last time before Katie walks to her car.
Aly walks into the kitchen and toward the stairs but stops. She decides she should check in with her parents. Deciding they are probably waiting up for Annie she goes toward the hallway. As she does her twin walks in the front door. Together they walk to the living room door but stop-they can see the shadows of bodies moving against each other. They smile at each other-and in unison announce, "We're home."
The bodies stop, and the teenagers fight to stifle a laugh. Annie adds teasingly- "But hey don't let us interrupt." They laugh as they leave arm in arm.
Willow and Kennedy lean their foreheads together- "Should we see how their nights went?" asks the redhead-her words a little breathy.
"Later-" replies Kennedy. "We have some unfinished business of our own." She kisses her lips softly and again hands begin to caress as they start rocking slowly.
As their rhythm increases Willow forces words through her brain and out, "Th-think th-they had as much fun as we did?"
"God-I hope not-" she kisses her redhead. A few seconds later the implication of Willow's words is processed and her eyes open filled with worry. She stops all movement.
"Baby no-don't stop." Kennedy slides off of her lover and runs toward the stairs. Willow sits up- "Okay-what the frilly heck was that?" Her breathing is still labored and body still humming. "Kennedy!" She calls after her wife. She flops back onto the couch. "Paybacks are hell-"
About two-thirds of the way up the stairs Kennedy realizes what she has done- she stands torn between her kids and her wife.
Making Choices
Kennedy jogs back down the steps and runs into Willow who is starting up them. At the same time they say, "I don't know what I was thinking!"
Kennedy smiles slightly as she sees Willow's face is still flushed. "I'm sorry-"
"Well I'm crazy-I should be talking to them too. I mean duh-Things-could have happened." She points out emphasizing the word things.
"They didn't-" assures Kennedy.
"You don't know that." She continues up the stairs, but the Slayer stops her by wrapping the redhead in her arms. "We should-we have our own things to finish." She smirks slightly before she pressing a kiss to Willow's lips. Kennedy's hands runs up her girl's sides. Willow shivers at the touch, her body re-igniting. The kiss is seeking and needy as she strokes Willow's tongue with her own. "Room-now-"
"Kids-"moans the witch as she pulls her lips away.
"Kids are fine," she backs up the steps leading the way as she kisses her again.
In Annie and Aly's room the girls are now in their pajamas and sitting on their beds. "How was the dance?" asks Aly.
"We had fun-"
"And the car?" She raises her eyebrows playfully.
"Other than the incident with the stake-great." Annie blushes slightly as she thinks of the look on his face.
"Incident with a stake?-Care to explain?
"Don't want to really-" insists the young Slayer. "No-" she adds for good measure.
"But you will cause I'm your older sister and you just should."
"Fine. We were kissing..." her voice fades.
In Kennedy and Willow's room the foreplay is done. They are tangled in the covers and each other. Clothes are scattered around the room. Willow is straddling her Slayer as she trails kisses down her neck and across her collarbone. The Slayer's hands find her redhead's breasts and kneads them. They moan together as they push each other toward release. As fingers find their rhythm they each whisper the others name. "Love you-" the redhead pants as her lips find her Slayer. As if their minds are connected their pace quickens without words to each other. Willow rocks harder as she feels her inner muscles tense- "So close."
"Together-" is Kennedy's only reply. Her fingers slow down so she can keep her redhead on the edge while she catches up. Willow whines-then realizes Kennedy's intentions. She moves her fingers faster curling them ever so slightly. Kennedy bites her bottom lip as she feels herself move closer- "Will-just like that-yes-"
In the twins' room Aly is laughing hysterically, "You almost staked him-"
"He was biting my neck-"
"And you thought that was bad why?"
"I-okay-I was nervous, I admit it. I mean we haven't-hadn't really made out much before." They are quiet, then Annie speaks again, "How long am I gonna get teased for that confession?"
"The near staking-a long time. The fact that making out is new-not so much."
"Promise?"
"Yeah-" assures her twin.
"How was movie night?"
"Didn't watch much of the movie-" she smiles a little but also blushes.
"Make out session?" She nods to answer her sister's question. "Can I ask you a question?"
"You just did-" a flying pillow hits the young Slayer in the head. "Ask-"
"You and Katie-are you past second base?"
"Kinda-sorta, yeah."
"Wow-really?" Aly nods. "Have you-" the question is interrupted by Willow crying Kennedy's name. The teenagers' eyes meet. "You haven't-"
"No-we ah-no-" she weighs her words. "But maybe soon-we're gonna talk about it."
"Talk about having sex?"
"Talk about third base and maybe making love."
"Have you talked to Mom-or Mama?"
"A little-Katie and I are gonna talk tomorrow, then we'll go from there."
"Wow-just-wow!"
The next morning Willow and Kennedy are sitting on the porch swing as the back door opens and Aly walks out. "Hey, you're up early," smiles her mom.
"Finished my homework, wanted to get it over with before Katie got here." She stands by the porch railing in front of her parents. "I invited her for lunch is that okay?"
"Sure-you going out after?" asks Kennedy.
"No-we're going to stay here and talk."
"Talk huh?" Willow's eyes meet her daughter's.
The teenager simply nods but then adds, "I ah-we-Katie and I-things are serious I wanted you to know."
"Make sure that it's what you both want and that-" Willow's words stop. She is suddenly a little misty eyed.
"And that you realize it's a big step-a huge step," finishes Kennedy, as she looks from her teenager to her redhead and then back.
"I get that-it's a life choice that you don't get back." She pauses, "But I think it's the right one-for me-now." Willow nods as tears fall, "Mom-" Aly looks worried. She steps toward her mom and hugs her. "If you don't want-"
"No-as much as I want it to be this isn't my decision."
"No-but what you think is important to me-you think I should wait?" Willow doesn't answer.
After lunch Aly and Katie are sitting on the porch swing, "You told them didn't you?" asks the teenager, her fingers laced with Aly's.
"We talked about the fact that we were gonna talk-why?"
"I could tell your mom is a little freaked."
"Freaked maybe-but they told me it was my decision." Katie raises an eyebrow, "Sorry-our decision."
"Better-" she leans forward and kisses her chastely. "So-let's get this talk over with I need ice cream."
Aly smiles, "Right-talking about sex-" she turns red.
Katie smiles, "I love it when you blush." She leans forward and kisses the redheaded Slayer softly. As lips start to move against lips Aly pulls away. "Right-talking about sex, not the actual having."
Aly can't help but blush again, "I guess I'll start-unless you want to," she is suddenly nervous.
"No-you go," she is nervous too but is doing a better job of hiding it.
"Having sex is a big step," she quotes her mama. "But it's a step I think I'm ready to take with you." They are both silent, Katie's eyes look up to meet Aly's. "So-what I'm trying to say is I'm scared but-it's not a bad scared."
"What are you afraid of?"
"It's hard to explain-"
"Try?"
"Ah-it's like when I tried to drive-well I wasn't good at it." Her words trail off-as she looks down.
Katie smiles and raises her young Slayer's chin with her hand. "That's all-just the mechanics?"
"Mostly-what about you?"
"I wonder what happens if we have sex and it changes things between us," Katie's voice is full of concern.
"Things will definitely change, but not all change is bad," assures Aly.
"But I like us-the way they are," the blue eyed teenager confesses. "I love lying in your arms and holding you-I don't want to lose that."
"So you think we should wait?" Aly asks.
"I think that we let things just happen-and when we get where we're going we'll know what to do."
"But I want our first time to be-" her words end as Katie kisses her.
"It'll be perfect I promise."
"Can there be candles?"
"Absolutely," confirms Katie. "Anything you want." Aly lays her head on her girl's shoulder. "Know what?"
"What?"
"I love you." They kiss softly.
Late that night Aly is sitting on the balcony staring up at the night sky. Willow walks out and is surprised to see her daughter. "School tomorrow-you should be asleep."
"I know- it's just my brain is running like a million miles an hour."
"Your talk go okay?"
"Yeah-we decided that we'd let thing just sort of happen at their own pace."
"You're okay with that?" Her mother asks as she sits down in the chair across from her daughter.
"It was a mutual decision-" states the young Slayer. "Can I ask you something?"
"Always-"
"We're both-neither of us has ever-we need like a reference point."
"Are you asking about my first time?" The teenager nods. I little embarrassed she says simply. "It was nice-"
"Nice?-
"Nice-unplanned, but it was-anyway, If you can imagine it there was an impending apocalypse."
"On the Hellmouth-you don't say," Aly smiles.
"We were seniors-"
"Like me-"
"Not exactly-I hadn't skipped two grades."
"You think we're too young?"
"Only saying you were younger than I was-that's all. Anyway we were at my house doing research. And I was a little freaked about the end of the world and all-" she smiles remembering Oz, "And Oz he was Oz-just calm. Then he kissed me and before we knew it we were-" she blushes.
Aly blushes too- "Got it-don't need the details."
"I thought you wanted a reference point?"
"I did-I do it's just,-well you with Oz not really much help for me."
Willow nods, "Guess not-"
"Tell me about you know- with Tara?"
The redhead's eyes show a bit of sadness but she quickly covers it. "My first time with Tara-" the memories come flooding back. "I was really scared-I mean I read stuff but I was sure I'm disappoint her."
"Had she-before you?"
Willow nods, "Yeah I think that's why I was nervous."
Two weeks later Kennedy stands at the DMV with her teenagers waiting for them to take their driver's test. She looks across at her nervous kids who are standing pacing. "We don't have to do this we could come back later-maybe the wait wouldn't be as long."
"No, I'm not leaving without a license," states Annie confidently.
"Okay then we wait." Aly seems really distracted. "Aly something not right?"
"No-everything's fine."
Though she knows better the Slayer doesn't push the girl for answers. "Why don't I fine a soda machine?" Not waiting for an answer, she leaves.
Annie looks at her older sister, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing-" pause- "everything, Katie and I-we had a fight. She hasn't talked to me since before lunch."
"What happened?"
"She thought I was flirting-but I wasn't." Again she pauses, "There's a new girl in my second class-Mrs.. Grant wanted me to show her around."
"And?"
"We were talking and she put her hand on my arm-"
"Katie saw?"
"Yeah-when I tried to explain-she wouldn't listen."
Kennedy comes back with three cans of soda. She sees the girls have been talking, "Anybody want chips?" Once more she leaves.
Annie looks at her sister, "She likes you-she felt threatened. She'll be okay tomorrow."
"And if she's not?"
"She will be-"
At the house Willow is fixing dinner with the help of Erin and Ellie. The two little Slayers are fixing a salad. Their mom smiles at them. Kara and Kristen jog down the stairs. "Can we help?" asks Kara.
"You can set the table." The girls grab the napkins and the silverware, then walk towards the dining room.
Alex comes in the back door and smiles, "How was practice?"
"Not bad-when's dinner?"
"Sooner if you wash your hands and get the plates."
"I got it." He jogs up the stairs.
Erin and Ellie finish the salad, "Now what Mommy?" asks Ellie.
"Carry it to the table for me." They do as they are asked.
There is a knock on the back door and Willow answers it to find Katie standing there. "Hi."
"Hi-"
"Aly isn't here-driver's test."
"No-I know, I wanted to talk to you."
"Something wrong?" Willow leads the teenager in and they sit together at the bar.
"I thought she was flirting and I got jealous."
"Sounds like pretty normal teenaged stuff-"
"I said some things I shouldn't have," tears start to fall. "I really messed up."
"Fighting happens-but then you calm down and fix things."
"What if things can't be fixed?"
"Most of the time they can. She should be home in a few minutes, why don't you call your mom and stay for dinner?"
"What if she won't talk to me?"
"She'll talk," assures Willow.
Katie nods and wipes her eyes, "I love her-"
The redhead puts an arm around the upset teenager, "She loves you-remember that."
Later Annie runs in with her license- "Mom!-Look I passed my test."
"That's great." She smiles and then hugs her. "I have to call Jake." She disappears through the dining room.
Aly is quiet as she walks toward the stairs not noticing Katie is even there. "Aly-?" the redhead looks concerned.
"I didn't pass-" are her soft words as she goes up the stairs.
Kennedy shakes her head- "She was upset about something before. She wasn't focused-I'll take her back next week."
"It's my fault," admits Katie. "We had a fight."
"I thought that might be it," says Kennedy.
"Is it okay if I go up and talk to her?" Willow nods and the teenager goes to the stairs.
Aly is lying across her bed-she is fighting tears. Katie knocks- "Hey-can we talk?"
"I'll have to check with my booking agent-" she picks up the stuffed animal beside her and whispers to it. "Lucky for you there was a cancellation."
Katie smiles slightly, "Aly-"
The young Slayer interrupts, "I was just showing her around."
"I know-I just-she's very pretty and I saw her hand on her arm and I over reacted."
"Just a little-" smiles Aly. "Come 'ere-" Katie goes to the bed and sits down beside her.
"The things I said-I'm sorry. I didn't mean them."
"They hurt," admits the young redhead.
"I wish I could take them back but I can't-I can just- I don't know what I can do." Her tears fall again.
Aly turns to face her, now sitting on her feet, "Listen-it's the past, we just we let it go."
"How? I was so mean-"
Aly turns her girl to face her, "Katie do you love me?" The girl nods-she reaches out and touches Aly's check with her fingers. "Then we're okay-we learn to trust each other more and we move on."
"You make it sound so easy-"
"It's not easy, it takes work-but we're worth right?"
"Yeah-I'm sorry."
"I know." She leans forward and kisses her chastely. She pulls back and leans her forehead on Katie's. Her arms go around her girlfriend's neck. "Staying for dinner?"
"If you want me to-" she bites her bottom lip nervously, still not sure why Aly was so quick to forgive her.
"I want-" says Aly with a mischievous smile, then a raised eyebrow. Katie giggles-and then squeals as Aly playfully pins her under her to the bed. The young Slayer looks down into her girl's eyes- "I love you never forget that."
"I won't, I don't get why sometimes- cause I do some pretty stupid stuff-but I won't forget."
"Good-" she leans down and their lips meet in a kiss. It starts out soft, but slowly becomes more-lips begin to open and close against lips in a steady rhythm. As air becomes an issue Aly breaks the kiss-her weight rests on her arms as she holds herself above Katie. Katie surprises her when she wraps her young Slayer in her arms and pulls her down onto her. They kiss again, this time tongues come into play. Aly moans as Katie's tongue explores her mouth. It probes gently at first but soon becomes more needy. Katie's hands move down Aly's back and then back up as they find their way under her shirt to bare skin. She drags her fingernails teasingly over the bare skin of the young Slayer's back. "Oh-goddess-feels so good." The redhead is quickly getting lost in the other girl's touch. Her skin is on fire and it is spreading fast.
Katie flips them and now has her Slayer under her-her lips move to her neck and she kisses there- "Love you," murmurs Katie as she continues down her body. She trails kisses across her collarbone. Aly forces herself up and now Katie is sitting on her lap. Their lips lock again as Katie's hands roam free on her girl's body. The teenager locks her legs around the young redhead's waist which causes them to press even closer together. They both moan at the contact, their eyes closed as they get lost. Katie's hands still under Aly's shirt start to slide the material up and off her body.
As that happens Annie knocks on the open door and her eyes fall on the couple. "Aly-" The young Slayer's closed eyes open and meet her sister's. "Sorry I didn't-Mom said to tell you dinner."
The young couple blush as Aly grabs her shirt and pulls it over her head. "Thanks-" Annie leaves with a smile.
"Sorry-"
Aly smiles, "What for now?"
"The whole you without a shirt thing-Annie was cool with it, but it could have been one of the kids. I wasn't thinking."
"I couldn't think about anything but your hands on me-" Aly smiles.
Katie can't help but blush a little but it doesn't prevent her from kissing her again. Soon they are lying in each other's arms as hands caress bodies. Katie makes quick work of Aly's shirt like before. Soon Katie's follows-both girls are kissing in bed clad only in jeans and bras.
In the dining room Willow and Kennedy look at each other and then at the empty chairs. Willow's voice connects with Kennedy's mind- 'Think we should check on them?'
'Let's give them a couple more minutes.'
'Okay-'
Upstairs bras have joined shirts on the floor as the teenager's make out session get heated. Katie moans as Aly caresses her breasts first and then follows her hands with her tongue- "Goddess," gasps Aly her body responding to the touch. She knows she should stop but she can't- "Feels-uhmmm-" words fell her as she arches into her girl's mouth. "So good-" Suddenly Aly's eyes fly open and she sits up. She moves away from Katie.
The teenager is confused, "Aly-what did I do?"
'The words echo again in Aly's head- 'Stop the make out session and come to dinner.'
"I'll explain later-we have to get downstairs." She gets up and begins to quickly gather clothes.
"Aly-"
She leans down and kisses her softly. "Later I promise."
"Okay-I am kind of hungry." They both smile.
Talking...
The next day Aly and Katie are sitting on the merry-go-round at the playground. They are the only ones still there as the sun starts to fade- "We should head back," says Aly as she leans in and kisses her girl's lips softly.
"Probably-don't want to run into any beasties." They stand and start toward the sidewalk. Once there under the street light Katie stops. "Can I ask you something?"
"Anything-"
"Yesterday when we were-and you pulled away and wanted to go down stairs," she looks away a little unsure.
"Hey- no-it didn't have anything to do with you or anything you did-" she smiles thinking about what they were doing. "I can-my family we can-we can talk without talking."
"Read each other's minds?" She seems unsure.
"Not exactly-it's more like thinking it and sending it where we want it to go."
"So someone said to go downstairs."
"Mama-and to be more accurate she said stop the make out session and get down stairs."
Katie blushes, "How did she know-can she-"
"No-she was just guessing."
"She just-that's wow-"
"Too much?"
"No-the Slayer thing is cool and the magic, even cooler and this well-it's the coolest. Can you hear me too?"
"I'll try if you want to test it-" Aly closes her eyes and clears her thoughts away. She knows that the chances are slim-but she hopes-just because it would be a really fun way to talk sexy without getting embarrassed.
Katie closes her eyes as well, she thinks about Aly and smiles. 'I don't know what to say-'
'Say anything-say Aly I love your eyes.'
'Aly I love your smile.' Realizing they are talking without words being spoken Katie smiles and opens her eyes. "You heard me and I heard you-"
Aly nods, "Yeah-you did."
"What's it mean?"
"I'm not sure-usually it takes a connection.-Or you're a demon."
Katie punches her in the arm, "Not funny-"
"I am too-I tell good jokes and I pun when I slay-and oh-" she stops realizing two things, one-she's babbling and two that Katie meant the demon crack wasn't funny. "I got it-finally just a little late-but not that-." Katie leans in to kiss her so she will stop talking. The babble-a-thon is officially over as the kiss-a-thon begins.
A week later Kennedy and Aly walk into the living room and the teenager waves her license for her mom to see. "I did it-parked and everything. He said I did great-" she can't stop the smile.
"I knew you could do it-" she stands and hugs her. "This calls for ice cream."
"Mom-ah-wait, about the ice cream I was wondering if I could drive to Katie's and then the two of us could get ice cream?"
"Drive to Katie's-" Willow and Kennedy exchange looks.
Kennedy speaks, "You can drive to Katie's-but walk to get ice cream."
"But I passed-why can't I-"
"It's not your driving-it's the no car rule-"says her mom.
"Fine-but you might want to rethink that rule." Willow looks unsure and so does Kennedy. "The reason for the rule was so that we didn't -" she weighs her words trying not to blush as she speaks, "You know, get carried away with the making out right?"
"Mostly-" agrees Kennedy.
"Don't need a car for that." The teenager smiles as she goes to the door.
Kennedy's eyes meet Willow's- "Damn-" whispers the Slayer. "I hate it when they're right."
"But hey-they'll be seventeen in a few months. It worked longer then I thought it would."
"I guess, so we tell them tonight?"
"Nah-let them ask," smiles the redhead. "It might buy us a few more days, weeks even."
"That's what I love about you." She leans in and kisses her redhead.
"What?"
"You-my redheaded witch are very sneaky." They kiss again.
"Let me show you just how sneaky I can be," she kisses her again and begins to caress Kennedy's back-the Slayer gets lost in her touch, her body beginning to catch fire she moans softly. Before she realizes it she is standing in the living room her shirt on the floor. Willow breaks the kiss and smiles at her shirtless love- "See," she raises an eyebrow and walks toward the steps.
Kennedy stands amazed as she watches the redhead walk away. "Sneaky-" she whispers.
Finally Willow's soft voice pierces her foggy brain, "You just gonna stand down there?"
Kennedy sees her at the bottom of the stairs working on the buttons of her own shirt. "No-" she jogs toward the redhead.
Upstairs the couple is snuggled together for some after sex cuddling. Willow has Kennedy spooned against her, her arms around her stomach. She presses a kiss to her Slayer's bare shoulder and she shudders. Willow smiles, "We should get up, need to fix dinner."
"No-" whines the younger woman. "I wanna stay here like this for the rest of the day and night."
"That would be nice," she kisses her shoulder again.
"Is there still money in the canister in the kitchen."
"Should be-why?"
"I think the kids should go out for pizza-" Kennedy turns in her arms and smiles. She kisses her lips and rests her head on her shoulder. She playfully nips at her wife's neck.
"Ummm-you could be right." They kiss again but before they can get carried away Willow pulls back. "One of us has to get up and tell them."
"Since it was my idea, I think it should be you. I'll keep your spot warm." She raises her eyebrows suggestively.
Willow frowns but then smiles mischievously, "I don't need help keeping anything warm," she says whispering in Kennedy's ear. The Slayer gasps slightly at Willow's hand on her body and moans as she slips two fingers inside. She doesn't move just smiles playfully. "See-"
"Mmm-yeah-" she closes her eyes as Willow's fingers begin to move slowly. "But the kids- leaving for pizza?" she manages to force out.
"I'll take care of that too." The redhead closes her eyes- 'Annie can you hear me?'
'Sure Mom-everything okay?'
'Can't-complain' she struggles to keep her mind focused on both activities. 'There's money in the kitchen-you and Aly take the kids for pizza.' Then as an afterthought she adds, 'And ice cream too.'
'Sure-' Willow can almost hear the smile in her daughter's voice. 'Have fun-'
Kennedy is moving closer to her release as Willow now concentrating on just her doubles her efforts. "Yes-right there-mmmm-" cries Kennedy as the redhead's fingers curl to touch her spot.
Later Willow and Kennedy are wrapped in each other again. "Knew their licenses were a good idea," says Willow. Kennedy is spooned around her.
"Definitely like the advantages," she kisses the redhead's neck.
They are resting quietly both tired and fighting sleep, "You asleep?" asks Willow as she turns in her arms.
"No-just basking."
"It was nice-" she kisses her softly on the lips and Kennedy snuggles into her as the kiss ends. "Kennedy we said we'd talk about another baby-"
"I remember," their eyes meet. "So let's talk." She leans up resting her elbow on the bed and her head on her hand.
"Right-" they are both quiet. Finally it is Willow who speaks, "I don't hear talking," she smiles playfully and kisses Kennedy's lips as she mirrors Kennedy's pose.
"Don't know what to say-" admits the Slayer.
"Do you want a baby?" asks the redhead.
Looking into her eyes the Slayer nods- "Yeah, I really do." there is a slight pause as Kennedy worries that Willow may have changed her mind. "Do you?"
"Yeah-" assures the witch.
"Yeah?" Kennedy can't contain the smile.
"Yeah," she repeats as she bites her bottom lip. She leans in and they kiss again chastely. "A baby-wow, it's been a while."
"True but I'm sure we'll remember."
"Don't want to remember the morning sickness-" the redhead makes a face.
"It wasn't much fun-but the after was really good," smiles Kennedy. Willow pulls her Slayer closer and kisses her. Lips open and close against lips and soon the redhead's tongue brushes against Kennedy's lip. Moaning softly she opens her mouth and Willow begins to explore. Finally needing air they break apart, both flushed and panting. Kennedy is the first to try to speak, "Not-not that I'm complaining but-what-what was that for?"
The redhead smiles and leans her forehead against her love's, then whispers- "We're gonna have a baby," she bites her bottom lip.
Kennedy touches her girl's cheek gently- "Yes we are. But there is the question of who's doing the actual having-"
"There is that-" she admits. "What do you think?"
"We could just be surprised-"
Willow looks unsure, "Not following-"
"We could tell the coven that they could choose."
"That would be-well yeah okay, why not." They both smile.
A week later Aly is typing on the computer. The listing of websites appears on screen as Kennedy knocks on the door facing. Aly turns and then nervously minimizes the screen. "Hey-"says the teenager.
"What are you up to?"
"A little research?"
"Homework?"
"Not exactly-" she tries not to blush.
Kennedy walks in and sits on the bed, "Anything I could help with?"
"Ah-no-did you need me to pick up the kids?"
"No-thought we could hang out-it's been awhile."
Aly smiles, "Sounds good-I'll meet you down stairs."
"That's a plan-" she stands and leaves. Aly maximizes the screen, reads the listings and then clicks on the third one and saves it to her favorites. She hits the shut down button and leaves.
Annie and Willow are sitting on the back porch swing. "What time is Jake picking you up?"
"In a couple of hours-we're gonna go to the movie then get pizza."
"Is this the night of your big double date?"
"No, that's tomorrow-Aly said she and Katie where gonna hang out here. You didn't know?"
"I must have forgotten," she smiles.
"Something else on your mind?-A bad something-I mean things have been really quiet lately."
"Nothing bad no-" assures her mom.
"But something?" Annie smiles.
"Something we'll talk about when we know more for sure. How are things with Jake?"
"Good-I like him a lot." Willow smiles at her daughter's words.
Kennedy is sitting in the passenger side of the truck while Aly drives them to the ice cream shop. She pulls up out front and parks then turns to her mama, "Okay?"
"Good job-think you've got this driving thing down."
"So can I borrow the truck?"
Kennedy smiles, "This is starting to feel like a set up." Aly smiles. "When?"
"Not sure-but when I am can borrow it?"
"We'll talk about it when there's more details available."
"Details huh?" Her mama nods. "Katie and I-we were thinking about going to the lake for the weekend."
"The weekend?-"
"Yeah-driving up Friday after school and driving back on Sunday evening."
"Your mom and I will talk about it," says Kennedy. Aly smiles- "That's not a yes-" informs the Slayer.
"But it's not a no-all I was hoping for." The teenager smiles as she gets out of the truck.
Kennedy smiles too and shakes her head, "Oh-Willow-wait till you hear this one."
At the house Willow and Annie are still talking, "Mom-promise not to freak on me?"
"No-generally when a sentence starts like that I just can't."
Annie looks at the floor then back up and out into the yard. She sees her younger bother and sisters playing on the playground equipment. "How old were you when-" she blushes slightly.
"Eighteen-almost eighteen. Why?-Have you and Jake-"
"No-no, but sometimes when we do other stuff-I think about it."
"Does he think about it too-" asks the redhead trying to decide if she is setting her own pace or being pushed?
"I don't know-probably, he's a guy-a sixteen year old guy so thinking about sex is generally a given."
Willow smiles at the blush on her daughter's face and her revelation. "So he's not pressuring you?"
"No he's never said-" she is quiet then she speaks softly, "It's just I wonder why sometimes-you know?"
"Yeah-I remember when Oz and I were going out-I felt the same way."
"What did you do?"
"We talked about it-he explained and things were okay."
"So you think I should talk to Jake?"
"Talking never hurts-" says her mom.
"I guess, but it's a little embarrassing."
"Sometimes," agrees the redhead.
A couple of weeks later Willow and Kennedy are wrapped in each other's arms on the couch as they wait for the girls to come home. "So-next weekend we do the ceremony," whispers Willow as she kisses Kennedy's neck.
"And next weekend Aly wants to borrow the truck and spend the weekend at the cabin with her girlfriend."
"Guess we need to make some kind of decision on that," Willow replies.
"Yeah-what do you think?" asks the Slayer.
"I think-" she stops, "I don't know- a weekend away at sixteen just doesn't. I think no-"
"I think you're right, but she's not gonna be happy with the decision," Kennedy admits.
"Probably not but we'll explain and she'll be mad and we'll explain some more and come up with something to make us all feel okay." Willow leans in and kisses her softly.
The next day Aly walks out onto the balcony to find Willow and Kennedy there, "You wanted to see me?"
"Yeah-" says Kennedy. "Why don't you sit down." The teenager sits on the chair across from her parents. "About this weekend-"
"I can't go-"
"We think you're just too young to be gone that long-" states Willow. "We know that we can trust you-it isn't about that."
Aly nods her understanding as Kennedy speaks again, "To many things could happen that far away to two sixteen year old girls."
"Okay-" the girl stands. "That all?"
"Yeah-" The girl leaves. Willow looks at Kennedy. "Something's not right."
"We should go talk to her-" they stand.
Aly is lying on her bed when her parents knock on the half-opened door, "It's open." They go inside. Each sits on the bed as Aly looks at them. "I'm okay really."
"Yeah-we know but why?"
"I'm not sure-" she smiles, "maybe I knew it wasn't a good idea."
"Or maybe-" Kennedy leaves the statement open.
"We were gonna-you know," she looks up at her parents. "I'm kinda nervous about it-so this at least gives me some time."
"So we get to be the bad guys?" Kennedy clarifies.
"Wouldn't telling her the truth be easier?" asks Willow.
"Just making love to her would be easier and I want to I just don't know how?"-Fear crosses the teenager's face as she realizes what she has said. Kennedy and Willow look at each other and then back at their daughter.
"Let me make sure I have this right in my mind cause sometimes I get-" Willow babble at full speed.
Kennedy takes over, "You're nervous not because you're not ready-"
"But because you're not sure of the mechanics?" Finishes Willow.
Aly, who for the first time in her life wishes that the hellmouth was functioning and in her room so it could swallow her, simply turns a bright red and nods. Kennedy and Willow smile at each other- their daughter speaks, "I researched some but I just-"
"What do you want to know?" Kennedy asks point blank.
"I can't talk to you two about this-you're my parents and there's a rule somewhere. And if there isn't there should be. It's-" her babble stops.
Willow puts a hand on Aly's arm and looks at her a soft smile on her face, "Aly we're here if you want to talk if not-that's okay." She takes Kennedy's hand and they go out the door. Aly falls back onto the bed and covers her head, then growls in frustration.
Later that night Willow crawls out of bed and goes quietly into Annie and Aly's room. She opens Aly's laptop and types onto the screen. She pulls up a site and she smiles as she leaves it on. She slips out of the room.
The next morning Willow is fixing breakfast. Kennedy comes up from the basement, her morning workout finished. The kids come down the steps one by one-first Alex, "Morning son," says Kennedy as she kisses him. Willow kisses him too.
"Morning-Mom can we go to the magic shop after school?"
"Sure-working on a spell?"
"The locater spell-" she gives him a quick glance unsure, "but not without asking first. I promise."
"Pick you up out front at 3:00-don't be late."
He smiles and sits down at the table, "I won't."
Next down the stairs is Kara, then Erin and they each receive a good morning kiss from their parents. They sit down and as they do Annie joins them. She sits down and begins to study some notes. "Test today," asks Willow as she kisses her on the top of the head?
"Quiz in Latin-" she goes back to her papers.
Kristen and Ellie are next down the stairs and each kiss their parents before sitting at the table. Everyone begins to eat including Kennedy. Willow is pouring herself a cup of coffee as she looks at the stairs. Kennedy glances at the empty chair, "Annie was your sister up?"
"She's been up for hours on the computer," answers the young Slayer. Willow smiles.
Later just as the others are getting ready to go Aly jogs down the stairs with her backpack over her shoulder. She goes over to her mom and hugs her, "Thanks-it helped," she smiles and Willow simply nods.
"Breakfast-" Kennedy says.
Aly kisses her on top of the head, "No time," she picks up a piece of her mama's toast and follows the others out the door.
Kennedy looks at her redhead and smiles, "What was that about?"
"I just-nothing, computer stuff." The one time computer geek just smiles.
Upstairs in Aly's room the laptop screen is still on-left in her haste to not be late. The screen is bright in the dimly lit room- the words well illuminated, "Making love to a woman."
