Angels
She stands staring in disbelief, "Angel- what are you doing here?"

"We need to talk-I have information."

"Would it have anything to do with a gay pregnant witch?" Asks Xander.

"Can I come in?"

"Of course." Says Giles who has joined the Slayer at the door. "Please."

Angel steps inside and they close the door. He hands Giles the books he has. "It's called the Prophecy of the Guardian."

"Great-when do we reach our quota of apocalypses?" Complains Xander.

"How did you know?" Buffy looks at him still confused.

"I called him," answers Dawn. "He has resources we don't-because of the explosion-then the whole sink hole thing." She seems a little nervous. "It was okay to tell him-right?"

"Yeah-I'm sure she'll understand." Says Buffy. "So when does the world end?"

"It doesn't-I mean it might eventually, but not because of this."

"It's a good prophecy?" Questions Xander unsure.

"I'll tell you what I know and then we can research more together."

"Yes-that seems appropriate." Says the Watcher.

"Shouldn't we call Willow and Kennedy?"

"Let's make sure what we have is right." Everyone agrees and they begin to go through the books that Angel brought.

It's after midnight and the witch has finally fallen asleep. Her head rests on the chest of the young Slayer. Kennedy's arms encircle her protectively. The young woman kisses her softly on the top of the head as her brushes across her back. Just as Kennedy's eyes close there is a knock at the door. She gets up carefully trying not to wake the redhead. She jogs toward the door. She looks out and then opens it. Buffy and Angel are standing there books in hand. "Buffy-you found something?"

"We did can we came in?"

"Sure-Will's asleep should I wake her?" They come inside.

"Yes."

Kennedy returns to the bedroom. She sits next to the sleeping woman and runs her finger along her cheek. "Red-" she kisses her lips lightly. "Will-" The witch slowly opens her eyes.

"Morning already?"

"No-Buffy's here."

Worried she sits up. "You think it's bad?"

"Let's just hear what she has to say-stay calm."

"I'll try." She leans forward and kisses her. They break the kiss and they stand. Kennedy takes her hand and they go into the living room.

"Sorry to wake you Wills-"

"It's okay-." She sees Angel and smiles. "Angel?"

"Hey-" He smiles. She hugs him and Kennedy watches unsure. He hands Willow a book and points to the others on the coffee table. "It's all in there."

Willow looks scared. "But it's all of the good."

"Good?" Asks the redhead unsure.

"Yes-it's sort of a reward for Slayer spell."

"It's okay-?"

Kennedy smiles and Buffy nods. "We brought the books so you can read it for yourself when you have time."

Willow's eyes fill with tears, but she smiles. Kennedy hugs her tightly. As the young Slayer kisses her Buffy and Angel leave unnoticed. The kiss becomes more passionate but Kennedy pulls away slowly. She bites her bottom lip. "You should sleep and we should wait until after your doctor's appointment."

"Don't want to sleep-or wait." She leans in and kisses her again. She runs her tongue along Kennedy's bottom lip and the young Slayer opens her mouth to her. Their tongues explore and soon hands are also mapping out bodies. Kennedy breaks the kiss again this time her breathing is heavier. Willow looks into her eyes. "Please-?"

"Bed-" Whispers the young woman. She and the witch move that direction stopping for quick kisses along the way. They both crawl in at the same time. Kennedy pulls the redhead on top of her and kisses her gently. She pulls back. "Now sleep."

Willow smiles mischievously, then slides her hand down between their bodies. "Don't wanna sleep-I want you."

Kennedy bites her bottom lip and then moans as Willow's hand finds its target. "Okay?" Kennedy's eyes close as her body gets lost in Willow's touch. The redhead begins to plant soft kisses along her neck and she moans again. The redhead looks up into Kennedy's flushed face and smiles. "I love you."

Kennedy forces her eyes open and they meet the sparkling green of the witch. "I-I love you." Willow's hand stills. "Red?"

She removes her hand from between them. "Maybe I will sleep."

Kennedy looks unsure, "You're kidding right-I mean you wouldn't a-and then just-" the sentence is cut short as the redhead's thigh finds its way to her center. As Willow press it firmly against her the young Slayer moans. "Oh-Goddess-I-"

Later the women are wrapped up in tangled sheets and bare arms and legs. Kennedy kisses Willow's forehead. Their breathing is still a little ragged. "You okay?"

"I'm fine," she takes Kennedy's hand and places it on her bare stomach. "She's fine-"

Kennedy smiles and slides down to rest her head on Willow's stomach. Her lips replace her hand then her hand returns. "Hey-hi in there." Willow smiles as tears fall, her hand traces circles on Kennedy's back as the young Slayer continues the conversation with their baby. "It's mama- angel. Time to sleep now."

Prophecy and Pampering
A week later Willow is still rereading the texts that Angel brought her. The prophecy was clear-well as clear as riddley ancient writings could be.

It simply stated: The dark witch would be brought to the light by the power of the Slayer while in the presence of love from the one who was called.

Buffy and Giles had agreed that the power of the Slayer was the scythe and that Kennedy's love had allowed her to take the chance. The new Slayer had been the catalyst.

And the baby, their baby was a gift from the guardians. They had prevented the end of the line and now it would continue through them. The baby would be more powerful then either, with a Wiccan soul and spirit and the heart and strength of a Slayer.

No matter how many times she read the words, they still amazed her. How could the life growing within her be so strong? Willow closes the book as she feels Kennedy's hands on her shoulders. Kennedy smiles and kisses her on the top of the head. "Still says the same as yesterday right?"

The redhead turns to face her, she smiles," It's just wow, you know? It's amazing-" The young Slayer nods as Willow puts the book on the table.

"Yeah-We need to go. You don't want to be late for your first checkup.

Willow stands, "You know how much I don't like doctors?"

"I do, but you'll be fine, cause I'll be with you." She smiles and takes Willow's hand. They start to walk.

The witch stops, "Will there be needles?" Fear in her eyes.

"Maybe-I can't really say. First baby you know?"

Willow smiles, "Me too." Kennedy kisses her softly.

The redhead finishes the paperwork and hands it to the receptionist. Kennedy who is standing behind her, puts a hand on her shoulder.

"The doctor will see you shortly, just take a seat. "Thank you," says the young Slayer. She takes Willow's hand and they go to the couch and sits down.

Willow looks at Kennedy with fear in her eyes. "I can't do this."

"You can." Willow stands and tries to leave, but her hand laced with Kennedy's stops her. "We can do this."

"You sure?" Kennedy nods.

"Miss Rosenberg?"-Willow looks her direction. "This way please." The witch looks at Kennedy who stands next to her. "Your friend can wait for you here."

Kennedy looks at the nurse. "I'm going in-if it's okay."

"Certainly-of course." The nurse walks away and they follow.

In the examination room the nurse hands Willow a gown. "Step behind the screen and change into this and we'll get started."

Later, the nurse is weighing Willow then having her sit while she checks her blood pressure and pulse. "A little nervous?" She begins to write everything down on the chart.

"How could you tell?"

"Your friend's hand-" Willow looks down and loosens her hold. "The doctor will be in soon-just try to relax. It won't be too bad." The nurse leaves.

"Sorry about your hand."

"Slayer remember-don't sweat it." Kennedy smiles as does Willow , she leans in to kiss her. The door opens and they pull apart a little embarrassed as the doctor walks in.

The doctor smiles, "I'm Dr. Westridge. How is everyone?"

"Nervous-" answers Willow as she tightens her hold on Kennedy's hand again.

"Not really anything to be nervous about.-We're just going to do a few tests. See how far along you are-then talk."

"Doesn't sound too bad does it?" She looks at the scared redhead.

"Tests-do they involve needles?"

"To be honest, some do-most don't."

"Can we do the needles first?"

"Sure if you want-" she picks up the phone and pages the lab tech. "Why don't you tell me about yourself while we wait?"

"What do you want to know?"

"Medical problems?"

"No-"

"Family history- heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes?"

"No."

"The baby's father's family?"

This time Kennedy answers, after smiling at Willow. "None."

"So you know the donor?"

"You could say that-yes." She smiles at the young Slayer.

The door opens and the tech comes in. Willow looks at Kennedy. "I really don't want to do this."

"I know-but it's important for the baby, so you'll be strong?" The redhead nods. "Okay?"

Later all the tests are finished and Willow is sipping on orange juice as they sit in Dr. Westridge's office. He comes in with the chart and sits down across from them. "Things look very good- you're about eight weeks." The redhead smiles at Kennedy-she interlocks their fingers. "Do you have questions?"

"Millions of questions-"

"How much longer will the morning sickness last?" Kennedy asks.

"Hard to be exact-usually stops after the first trimester. Try crackers and herbal tea. It should help."

"When will we be able to hear the heartbeat?" asks the redhead excited at the prospects.

"On the next visit I'd say." She hands Willow an appointment card. "Continue on as always, just expect to be tired more than usual-and moody, it's normal."

"Anything we shouldn't do?" Asks Kennedy.

The doctor smiles knowingly, "Nothing." Kennedy smiles a little red-faced.

"We are planning natural childbirth-could you tell us what we might expect-maybe the pros and cons?"

"Pros- no needles."

"Liking it already."

A week later Willow is sitting on the bed drinking tea. Kennedy comes in and sits next to her. "Better?"

"Much-I think they're going to stay down.-Yea! me-"

Kennedy kisses her cheek. "Why don't we take a walk- we haven't been to the park for awhile?"

"Fresh air is a great idea." She stands but gets a little dizzy. "Kennedy-" The young Slayer grabs her and holds her up.

"Willow-?"

"It's gone now-just a little wobbly- headed. Nothing to worry about-it's on the list."

"Screw the damn list-it's scary Will-" Willow wraps her arms around the young woman.

"Shhh-I'm okay-we're okay." She puts Kennedy's hand on her stomach and the young Slayer smiles.

"New plan-you crawl back in bed and I'll spoil you."

"Walk first and spoil later?"

"You're sure no more dizzy head?"

"No dizzier than normal-"

"That's not an answer Red."

Willow takes her hand and drags her to the door.

In the park, they sit on a bench and watch two young children play on the slide. Willow is entranced, not aware of anything else. Kennedy smiles as she watches Willow watch them. The witch's hand moves to her stomach. Kennedy lays hers there also and Willow looks into her eyes. "The waiting is going to be terrible."

"Patience isn't your strong suit."

"Or yours-who do you think she'll look like?"

"You-I hope-with freckles." Kennedy kisses her cheek.

"And your eyes-I love your eyes." She leans in and kisses her lips. She pulls back still staring into the dark eyes of the young Slayer. "You thought of any names?"

"No-you?" Willow shakes her head. "There's plenty of time."

"Yeah-" She lays her head on Kennedy's shoulder.

"Tired?"

"A little-"

"Ready to go home?"

"So you can spoil me?"

"That's the plan."

"Then yes." They stand and walk toward the park gates hand-in-hand.

Heartbeats
Willow is sitting in the bathroom floor after her latest bout of morning sickness. She wasn't sure why it was called morning sickness, because it was night when she had her worst battles. She leans her head against the cool porcelain of the toilet. Kennedy is kneeling beside her, she looks worried. She tries to wipe her face with a wet cloth but the redhead pulls away.

"Just don't-don't touch me." Kennedy looks at her and tears fill her eyes. Willow looks at her with tears falling. "I'm sorry it's just-I didn't mean it." She touches Kennedy's cheek with her hand.

The Slayer speaks softly, "I know, shhh-come on." She helps Willow to her feet and they walk into the bedroom. The redhead crawls back in bed and Kennedy fixes the covers around her. "Try to sleep Red-you're so tired." She holds her in her arms and after more tears, the witch finally sleeps. Kennedy looks at the bedside clock and it reads 3:47. She holds Willow tighter and closes her eyes. At 5:15 they are again in the bathroom, the routine the same. Willow throwing up, Kennedy trying to comfort her. It has been the same for nearly a week now. Kennedy is starting to worry.

Kennedy is standing on the balcony looking down at the garden when she feels arms around her waist. She smiles as lips kiss her neck. "Morning-" the witch says softly.

"Feeling better?" Kennedy turns in her arms and kisses her lips.

"Mostly-did you sleep at all?"

"Slayers don't need sleep, but beautiful pregnant witches do. Why don't you go back to bed for awhile?"

"I will, if you come too." She forces a seductive smile.

"Don't even think about it."

"Thinking is all I've been doing. We haven't for along time."

"It's only been a couple of days Will." She touches her cheek. "You need to rest, not over exert yourself." Willow gives her the puppy dog eyes look and the young Slayer almost crumbles. "That's so not fair." Willow smiles but Kennedy finds her own resolve face and stands firm. "We're not having sex Red."

Willow pulls out her final weapon. The tears begin to fall-"You don't want me anymore?" Her voice is soft and sad.

"You know that's not true, I always want you." She takes Willow's hand and then turns her back to the redhead. She closes her eyes as she slides the witch's hand into her pajama bottoms. They both gasp as she finds the young Slayer wet and wanting. "Always Will-" she manages to say as she stills the woman's hand and brings it back to her waist.

"Baby let me-"

Kennedy turns to meet her lips in a soft but sensual kiss. "No-only when we both-and you need to rest." Willow looks away. "Look at me." Willow looks at the young Slayer. "It'll be worth the wait-promise."

"Okay-" She kisses her softly. "Lay down with me though-and snuggle?"

"Yeah-snuggling sounds like a plan." They walk inside and crawl into bed. Kennedy wraps the witch in her arms and soon she smiles as she hears the even breathing of sleep.

Kennedy and Buffy are in one of the training rooms at the academy. They are fighting hand to hand and at the moment the young Slayer is getting her butt kicked. Buffy stops and looks at her. "Something wrong? Willow still with the morning sickness?"

"Morning sickness-that is so named wrong." Buffy smiles at the young woman. "But no-actually she made it through the whole day and night without being sick."

"That's of the good."

"Definitely good."

"So why's your game off?"

"Distracted-her birthday's in a few days. I want to do something she'll like but I'm not sure what."

"She likes picnics-"

"Yeah-I thought about that-but I want it to be special."

"She'll love whatever you decide to do, don't worry about it."

"I guess-she's just been feeling so bad-"

Buffy smiles, "You had us fooled for a while." Kennedy looks confused. "Big bad potential Slayer-turns out the Slayer isn't so bad. She's a softy."

"Who you calling soft?" She takes a fighting stance.

"So you want to go?"

"Give me your best-" the young Slayer challenges and the battle begins. They trade blow for blow.

That night a tired young Slayer falls quickly asleep in the witch's arms. Willow wakes up later to find the woman's head resting on her stomach. She smiles and runs her fingers through Kennedy's hair. She is surprised to hear her voice. "Go back to sleep."

"After you explain what you're doing."

"I was trying to see if I could hear her heartbeat-Slayer hearing you know."

"Could you?"

"Maybe-I'm not sure, I mean it could have been yours."

"Hers would be faster-a lot faster."

Kennedy smiles and lifts her head to look into Willow's eyes. "I think it was her then." She smiles and kisses the redhead. "Have I told you how much I love you?"

"It's always nice to hear."

"I can't always put it into words-I'm not use to feeling the things you make me feel. And this baby-I never thought-" She stops as tears fall. Willow kisses her softly and pulls her into her arms. Kennedy starts again. "I love her too-so much and she's not even here."

"I know-me too."

"And I worry that I'll screw up-let her down, let you down."

"No, that's not gonna happen. You'll be great-and she'll love you. You'll see."

"How can you be so sure?"

"I just am-" She snuggles closer to her Slayer, who rests her hand on Willow's slightly bulging stomach and they both close their eyes.

Willow wakes to the smell of bacon and pancakes. Kennedy smiles as she sets the tray on her lap. "Happy Birthday." She kisses her softly.

"You didn't have to do this-but it's nice." She smiles and kisses her again.

"Buffy and the others are coming over this afternoon for cake and ice cream."

"Ice cream? That's my favorite."

"I know-this is a day of your favorites."

"What else?"

"You'll see-eat your breakfast."

"Then more surprises?" She looks at the woman and smiles hopefully.

"Then more surprises." Willow begins to eat. Kennedy watches and smiles, knowing what lies in store for the woman she loves.

Later Willow is dressed and the gang is there. Willow has opened presents and they are getting ready to cut the cake. Willow stares at the candles. Dawn speaks, "Make a wish Willow."

"Got everything I need-but I'll try." She looks at the young Slayer and smiles. She blows out the candles and they cheer. Buffy begins to cut the cake and Xander brings in the ice cream. He hands Willow two bowls and she smiles at him.

As the sunsets the others leave. Willow closes the door behind them. She turns in Kennedy's arms and faces her. "Thank you-it's been a great birthday."

"It's not over-" She kisses her softly and leads her into the bedroom and onto the candlelit balcony. There is a picnic spread out before them and Willow turns to her Slayer and kisses her.

"This is prefect." They sit down on the blanket and lean against pillows. Kennedy feeds her grapes and they talk and laugh.

Later they are laying down, Kennedy's head resting on Willow's shoulder as they look at the stars. "It's a beautiful night." Whispers the redhead as she kisses Kennedy on the top of the head. Kennedy turns and is now lying partially on the witch. She kisses her lips softly and then brings a small box out for her to see. "More presents?" Excited-"You didn't have to."

"I wanted to-it's from us." There is a pause, then she continues. "The baby and me." Willow smiles and raises up to kiss her.

The redhead begins to open the package. When she opens the box she finds a plain gold band the inscription inside simply reads: 'My Way'- "Kennedy-" the redhead is speechless.

"Okay?" asks the young Slayer shyly.

Willow cries and smiles, her lips find Kennedy's and the kiss escalates quickly. She finally pulls away. "Okay-yeah."

Kennedy smiles, "Yeah-" she leans down and kisses her again. "One more present."

"No-enough presents."

"You sure about that? Cause this one-well it's-"

Willow realizes what she was implying. "Well just one more would be okay." She slides her hand down the young Slayer's back and under her shirt. She begins to traces small circles there. "Can I give you a present too?" Kennedy moves carefully on top of her and their lips meet. As the kiss continues, Willow works the young Slayer's shirt up and she breaks the kiss long enough to pull it off her. They kiss again, soon tongues battle playfully.

Needing air Kennedy moves away leaning her forehead against Willow's. She begins to take off the redhead's shirt. She sits straddling her as she helps her sit up to remove the shirt. She kisses her neck then slowly runs her tongue ring over it. "Feels so good." Says the witch as they lay back down. Kennedy kisses her neck again, then her collarbone. She moves slowly down her body leaving wet kisses along the way. She stops to unbutton and then unzip the witch's jeans. Together they remove them and her panties.

Kennedy begins her journey again, starting over at her neck, kissing it, then her collar bone, then between her breasts and finally just below her belly button. There, however, the kiss changes-she kisses the spot again. She whispers softly, "Hi baby; it's mama-" Willow smiles as she hears the words. She runs her hand through the young woman's hair. Without warning Kennedy dips her tongue into her belly button and the redhead arches and moans.

"Awww-Goddess." She closes her eyes lost in the sensations caused by her lover. Kennedy continues lower, her lips and tongue teasing the redhead who moans loud. Her breathing is now panting as she forces words. "T-together-please?" She pulls the young Slayer back up her body and slides her thigh between Kennedy's. Kennedy cries out as it makes contact. As she rides Willow's leg her hand slips between their bodies and two fingers enter the witch slowly.

Later the lovers lay tangled together. Both still struggling to breath, their hearts racing. Willow has her head on Kennedy's chest. "It's beating so fast-is the baby's that fast?"

Kennedy puts her hand on her heart, feel of the steady beat relaxing her. "Yeah-that fast."

"I can't wait to go to the doctor so I hear it." Says the redhead.

"You want to go to the doctor?" Kennedy smiles and looks into the sky and at the stars there.

"Just this once."

A week later Willow and Kennedy are at the doctor's office. Willow is sitting on the examining table and Kennedy is standing next to her. Dr. Westridge is standing on the other side. "Everything looks good. You lost a little weight-"

"But now the food stays down." Adds Willow.

"Which means you should gain some by the next time I see you."

"I'll see to it." Kennedy takes her hand.

"Are you ready to listen to the heartbeat?"

"Yes-" smiles the redhead. She lies back and fixes her shirt up and her pajama pants down just a little. The doctor gets the audio scope and turns the machine on. She places the mic on her stomach and moves it until you hear the steady thump-thud of the baby's heart. Willow smiles and looks at Kennedy who is also smiling. "Sounds amazing," whispers the witch.

Kennedy simply nods. She leans down and whispers in Willow's ear. "Just listen."

The doctor looks a little unsure and moves the scope slightly. This time Kennedy's expression changes. Willow notices their silence and turns to the doctor. "Is something wrong?"

Heartbreaks
Willow is sitting on Kennedy's lap wrapped tightly in her arms on the balcony. They both look a little shaken. Willow whispers softly, "This can't be happening."

Kennedy gently kisses her cheek- "It'll be okay, we can do this." The redhead stands and walks to the edge looking over into the garden. She feels the young Slayer's arms around her waist. "It won't be easy, I mean I'm not a baby expert but how much harder can one more make it?"

She turns in her arms. "You're kidding right-it doubles everything." She goes into full babble mode. "Twice as much crying and diapering and feeding-twice as many -"

"Twice as many firsts-first smiles, first words, first steps-. and they'll always have someone to talk to when they're pissed at us."

Willow smiles-"When you put it that way it doesn't seem so scary."

"It's still scary but we stopped the first evil-they're just babies Willow. We can do this."

"We can." She nods. "Panic attack over for now."

"So wanna go to dinner to celebrate?"

"I'd rather celebrate in private." She smiles seductively. Kennedy leans in and kisses her.

Later Willow and Kennedy are sleeping. The phone rings and Willow reaches for it as she opens her eyes. "Hello-"

"Will-sorry I didn't mean to wake you."

"Buffy-what time is it?" She sits up trying to focus.

"A little past ten-you feeling okay?"

"Yeah-" she caresses Kennedy's bare shoulder. "Just tired-doctor's appointment-kinda stressful day."

"Everything okay?"

"We found out we're having twins."

"Twins-two babies?"

"Right, two babies, that would be the definition of twins."

"Right-you freaked?"

"At first-but it's good."

"Cool-can I name one?" She asks playfully.

"No-have your own."

"Maybe-someday. Stranger things have happened."

"True." She rests her hand on her stomach.

"Kennedy asleep too?"

"I can wake her." She smiles as she runs her hand farther down the woman's body. Kennedy stretches as she leans into the touch. "Kennedy-" the young Slayer opens her eyes. "Buffy needs to talk to you."

Kennedy sits up and kisses Willow as she takes the phone. "Hey- something wrong?"

"Giles wants to meet with us in the morning at 9:00-his place."

"Okay-we'll meet you there. We have news for everyone any way."

"Wills told me-congratulations. I'll let you go back to sleep."

"Right night." She turns off the phone and hands it to the redhead. "We missed dinner."

She puts the phone down. "I can fix pancakes."

"Or we could order Chinese-they'll deliver."

"Sounds good. He's going to talk about Cleveland isn't he?"

"Probably-but I'm not going anywhere. He'll understand."

The next day they are at Giles' everyone is sitting around the table. "You'll need to leave next Wednesday."

Buffy looks at Giles, "Sure that's gives me plenty of time to pack."

"No Buffy, I need you here."

Willow looks toward Kennedy. Kennedy looks at Giles- "Giles I really need to be here-with Willow."

"You shouldn't be gone more than a few weeks."

Willow looks unsure- " Weeks-?"

"She could always go with you."

"No-" Kennedy looks at him. "She doesn't need to be in the middle of demon fighting."

"Hey-I'm in the room."

"Sorry-you know what I mean. I want the babies safe."

"So do I, and they're safest with us together."

"I'll call you every day."

Tears begin to fall down Willow's cheeks. "You promised we be together."

"And we will be-I won't be gone long."

"Who will take care of you?"

"Faith-" says Buffy "or I'll kick her ass." She walks across the room and picks up the phone.

Kennedy hugs the redhead. "You know I'm right."

"Yeah-but I don't like it."

"Neither do I."

Willow and Kennedy are standing on the balcony. You see Kennedy's suitcase in the bedroom. Kennedy is standing behind the witch with her arms around her. Her hands rest on her bulging stomach. She rubs her hand back and forth- "Be sure to talk to them every day, and tell them how much I love them."

"I will-" tears start to fall. "I don't want you to do this."

"I don't want to either, but I have to." Willow turns in her arms, she hands her a charm. "What's this?"

"Ah- I know you're not much with the magicks, but I -it's a charm to ward off bad stuff-it'll help keep you safe. Promise to wear it?" Kennedy nods and Willow helps her put it around her neck. The redhead kisses her softly. "I love you."

"I love you."

The airport is crowded. Willow is holding Kennedy's hand as the flight is called. Buffy looks toward them and fights her own tears as Willow hugs Kennedy tightly and begins to sob. Kennedy pulls away after a few minutes and kisses her softly. "Bye-shhh-baby, it's okay. -Shhh-deep breath." Willow does what she is told and Kennedy whispers something in her ear. Even though she is upset, she smiles. Kennedy walks down the ramp but stops to look back at Willow. She waves when she sees Buffy with an arm around Willow. At ease to know she will be taken care of. She turns and leaves.

Buffy forces the emotion from her voice and smiles at her friend. "Mochas on me-" Willow shakes her head. Buffy looks unsure. "You're too upset to drink mochas? -This is bad."

Willow smiles at her best friend. "I can't have mochas-the babies, too much caffeine."

"Sorry-not helping much am I ?- oh-how about we get ice cream?"-

"Ice cream is good-it has milk." They walk away arm in arm.

That night Willow is sitting on the balcony watching the stars. She rests her hand on her stomach and smiles down at it. "Your mama wanted me to tell you a story-so you wouldn't miss her. I could tell about the day we meet-" Willow smiles as her mind drifts back.

In Cleveland Kennedy is staring out into the sun from the kitchen of Faith's house. Faith walks in- "You're up early-"

"Actually it's late-still kinda jet lagging. So what's the plan?"

"I thought we could spend the day going over strategy and do some recon tonight. Maybe we can take these demons out and get you back before Buffy kicks my ass."

Kennedy smiles. "Like the sound of that."

Two days later Kennedy is still hunting demons in Cleveland and Willow is trying to help Giles in England. Both are lonely-

The next morning the phone rings and Willow picks it up. "Hello-"

"Hey-" says Kennedy as Willow smiles. "Not too early is it?"

"No- I've been up awhile."

"How long is a while? -You promised you'd rest."

"I have been resting-Buffy's like a guard dog." They are quiet-"I miss you."

"I miss you-but I'll be back before you know it."

A few days later Buffy and Willow are at the department store. They stand in the middle of the aisle just looking around. "Any idea which direction?"

"Nope-never bought maternity clothes before." Smiles Willow.

"Okay- my Slayer senses say that way." Buffy points and for some reason Willow actually goes that direction. Ten minutes later they are still looking for the maternity clothes. Willow looks at her almost glaring. "What?"

"Any more ideas?"

Buffy stops a salesclerk- "Maternity clothes?"

"Three aisles over on your right."

Buffy smiles triumphantly. "See I found them-"

"Sort of." She smiles and they walk that direction.

Mean time in Cleveland Kennedy, Faith and Wood find the location of the demons. They crash in and fighting ensues-they kill several but two get away. They follow but lose them.

Later at the house they call Giles and discuss what happened. it is decided that as long as any live, there is still the chance of the portal being opened. A frustrated Kennedy goes to the training room and takes out her anger on the punching bag. Faith watches from the top of the stairs. Wood is behind her-he touches her shoulder and then takes her hand.

Willow is modeling a new outfit for Dawn and Buffy. The days are good-Buffy keeps her busy and laughing but the nights are hard.

Willow is lying in bed talking to the babies-"Night-kisses from mama and me." She strokes her growing stomach. She falls asleep thinking of Kennedy and sits up with sweat pouring from her after a nightmare. Her mind clears and she concentrates-'Kennedy can you hear me?' her mind asks. She smiles as she hears a yes.

'How'd you get in my head?'

'I'll explain when you get home. Are you okay?'

'Lonely-but yeah. We killed all but two of the demons-we get them and I'm home.'

'This is draining I need to go.'

'I love you.' Willow smiles as her mind clears again. Exhausted she collapses onto the bed.

A week later Buffy is at Willow's. She is getting ready to leave for her check up when the door opens-Willow squeals and runs toward a slightly battered Kennedy. She hugs her then backs away. "Are you okay?"

"Slayer healing I'll be okay-did I miss the checkup?"

Buffy smiles, "Just in time-I'll turn the patient over to you."

"Thanks Buff-"

"That's what friends are for." She hugs Willow and leaves.

Willow smiles, "I can't believe you're really here."

Kennedy leans forward and kisses her. "I'm really here." She puts her hand on Willow's stomach and smiles.

The More They Stay the Same
The morning sun shone through the open balcony door. The young Slayer was still sleeping but the redhead was sitting on the balcony sipping tea. She hadn't been able to sleep-so she had decided to watch the sunrise. Now she was lost in thought her hand gently stroking her rounded stomach. Kennedy had been back for over three weeks now and life was back to normal. Well, normal for a witch and a Slayer who where expecting two prophesied babies. They spent their days talking about the future. Willow was teaching Kennedy spells and the history of Wicca. The young Slayer was a quick learner and had decided that magic was kinda cool-not crap after all. The babies were growing and doing well-soon they would be moving and she couldn't wait.

Kennedy stretches and reaches for the witch but finds the bed empty. She looks toward the balcony and can see Willow there. Smiling she gets out of bed and slips a robe on her naked form, then makes her way onto the balcony. She smiles at the redhead and touches her shoulder. She jumps startled- "Sorry-"

Willow smiles and takes her hand. "It's okay-I didn't hear you."

Kennedy sits beside her, "You were somewhere far away."

"Just thinking-" she rubs her stomach and looks down at it.

Kennedy takes her hand, brings it to her lips, and places a gentle kiss on it. "Almost half way-"

"Yeah-we'll get to see them next week-the ultra sound." She smiles and bites her lip.

Kennedy leans and kisses her softly. "What do you want to do today?"

"This is nice-" She kisses her again, pulls back and then kisses her neck. She smiles up at the young Slayer. "We could just-" she stops as she blushes slightly. "All day." She looks at Kennedy anxiously.

Kennedy looks a little unsure, "All day?"

"Unless you don't want." Now a little shy. "We could do something else."

"No-I want, I'm just not sure if-all day?"

The witch smiles playfully, "If it's too much for you then-" but her words are stopped by Kennedy's lips on hers. She squeals slightly as the young Slayer picks her up and carries her inside.

She lays her on the bed and looks down at her. She touches her face and the redhead smiles slightly out of breath. "I love you."

"Show me." Kennedy leans down and kisses her lips, then crawls onto the bed beside her. She slides her hand under Willow's nightshirt and brushes her fingers against her sensitive breast. Willow takes in a sharp breath-and bites her bottom lip as Kennedy continues to make light teasing contact. Her breathing speeds up as the other hand moves down her body and under the band of her panties. She arches at the contact and moans. "So close-" she begins to pant.

Kennedy looks a little surprised. "Close? -But I haven't even-" Her words stop as she touches the witch and realizes how ready she is. As she slides two fingers inside the redhead begins to spasm around her. "Goddess Red-" she stops her movement.

"No-d-don't stop. -Don't-" she forces the words out. Kennedy slowly begins again. As the first orgasm stops another begins and Willow screams- "Kennedy!" Kennedy holds her as she trembles and kisses her lips softly, her hand now still. The redhead struggles to calm her breathing. "Goddess-"

Hours later, now laying in a tangled mess of sheets, Kennedy and Willow are holding each other. Both are still breathing heavily. Kennedy forces words "Wanna explain to me what happened?"

Willow smiles shyly and blushes, "Ah, well sometimes, a lot of times being pregnant can help with the you know-." She turns more red.

"If by 'you know' you mean orgasms-I didn't know."

"Now you do." She smiles and gently brushes Kennedy's hair behind her ear.

"Are you telling me that-the sensitivity will be -every time we?" She can't seem to finish a sentence.

The redhead smiles, "Way better than the morning sickness huh?" She wiggles her eyebrows.

Kennedy smiles, "Will it last that long?"

"Could-"

The young Slayer runs her hand down Willow's cheek and then her neck. "So do you wanna?"

"Now?"

"I was thinking-"

"No thinking remember? -Let me stop that." She leans over and kisses her; she pulls back and then disappears under the covers.

Willow and Kennedy are sitting in the exam room. They have seen the doctor and things are progressing nicely. She has gone to page the tech to do the ultra sound. The young couple are smiling and holding hands. The excitement is flowing through the room. Willow looks into to Kennedy's eyes. "Can you feel it?"

"The baby? -Did she move?"

"No-the energy, it kinda makes everything hum."

Kennedy closes her eyes and talks a deep breath. She lets it out slowly. She smiles, opens her eyes and nods. "It's like-ah-tingly-all jazzed up?"

"Yeah-that's us, our energy, the anticipation we're feeling while we wait to see them."

"Wow-it's cool." Kennedy looks puzzled.

"What is it?"

"Do you think they feel it too?"

"I don't know-maybe."

The door opens and the doctor and tech come inside. "Are you ready?"

"Ready-" smiles the redhead. She arranges her clothes to expose her stomach.

"The gel's a little cold." She warns before applying it to the woman's stomach. Willow squeezes Kennedy's hand. The tech turns on the monitor and the doctor picks up the wand. "It's like television-just watch the screen." Willow and Kennedy look at each other and then the screen as the doctor moves the wand around her stomach. She stops on an image and speaks her eyes never leaving the screen. "Baby A-" The witch and the young Slayer smile.

"She's okay?" asks the redhead.

"She looks good-" the doctor moves the wand and locates the other baby. Again she stops. "And here's Baby B-"

"Ah-can you get them both at the same time I mean?" Asks the young Slayer.

The doctor nods and again changes the location of the wand. "Both babies." She looks at the couple. "John will take a couple of pictures, then you can clean up." Willow nods and the doctor leaves. The tech takes the wand, finds the babies and then takes three pictures.

"Should I leave that up?"

"That would be great -thanks." He leaves and Kennedy walks closer to the screen. She reaches tentatively forward and out lines each baby with her finger. Willow watches quietly as she battles tears. "It's amazing Will-" whispers the young Slayer.

"Yeah-" the witch's soft voice answers. "Amazing." Her tears fall-"Kenn-?" The young Slayer turns and walks back to her. She wraps her arms around her and gently kisses her. "We can do this right?"

"We'll be great at this-best moms ever."

"Mom-I'm some ones mom." Kennedy smiles and nods. Her hand rests on Willow's stomach. "Okay panicking again. What if they hate me? Cause they have red hair or-or they're short-or-" Kennedy's lips find hers and the babble stops. Kennedy pulls back slowly. "What if-"

"Will-what if I'm right?" Kennedy's confident smile seems to feel the room. "You're the powerful witch here-feel it?"

A slow smile spreads across her face as she slowly nods.
