Slayers, Witches, and Watchers (Oh My!)
Willow walks into the Academy. More correctly, The Academy of Watchers and Slayers. It still amazed her, six months after the fall of Sunnydale, and Giles' dream was about to become reality. She walks down the hall passed classrooms and training facilities, the library, and the labs. She continues to the faculty offices. She stops outside a door and looks at the name above it. 'Willow Rosenberg' she smiles.

She turns as she hears a familiar voice, "The name's wrong."

She looks at the young Slayer confused, "No-it has the 'e' an-and everything.-Oh-" she looks at the ring on her hand and back into Kennedy's eyes, then she smiles.

"You know what I was asking with the ring-right?"

Willow nods as she takes her girl's hand. "I know what you were asking, what I don't know is if you would have asked if it weren't for the babies."

"I love you Willow-"

"I know-but you're 19 Kennedy-that's so young, maybe too young."

She is fighting to keep her anger in check. "Are you saying no?" Willow doesn't answer. Kennedy let's her hand go. "You're saying no-" She fights to keep tears from falling. "How-" She turns and runs down the hallway, almost knocking Xander down.

Willow is trying to hold back tears as Xander stops in front of her. "Willow?"

"I did something really, really stupid."

"So you had a little fight nothing that can't be fixed."

"She asked me to marry her-and I told her- I'm so stupid." She cries as she holds him tightly.

"I might have to agree with you just this one time Will-" they are quiet, then Xander holds her at arms length. "Do you love her?" Willow nods. "Is this about Tara?"

Willow shakes her head. "No-I just-I don't want her to be 25 and miserable because she felt she had be ask me."

"So you think she's just doing the 'right' thing?"

"Maybe-"

"Did you ask her?"

"No-"

"Then maybe you should." He kisses her on the forehead and walks back the direction he came from.

Willow is looking for Kennedy. She finally stops in the middle of the hallway and takes a deep breath. She blows it out slowly and closes her eyes. "Focus-" She gasps slightly as she can feel Kennedy's anger and pain. "I'm sorry." She follows the energy to a training room. She goes quietly inside and watches as the young Slayer pounds the punching bag in frustration and anger. Willow steps toward her and the Slayer turns is fighting stance. She sees Willow and drops her hands and her eyes, hiding the tears there. "Can we please talk?"

"I don't-what do you want me to say? -Yeah okay 19 is young, but it was old enough to fight the First-old enough to-"

"Be honest with me."

"I always have-you knew from the first day-that I-I wanted us."

"Kennedy would you have thought about marrying me if I weren't pregnant?"

The young woman looks down at her hands and takes off the gloves. She looks toward Willow and then walks to her. "Honestly?" The redhead nods. "No, not yet-cause I wasn't sure you were ready."

"Me-not ready, meaning you are?"

"Yes-but if you're not it's okay. I'll wait-long as it takes." She reaches out and touches Willow's face.

"But I-I'm ready-I-"

Kennedy smiles, "Then why-?" Willow looks at her stomach-then into Kennedy's dark eyes. "You thought I was being what?"

"All noble-" Kennedy stops a laugh. "You really want to get married?" Kennedy nods. "Okay-"

"Okay-that means yes right?"

"Yes-"

"Yes!" She hugs Willow and kisses her lips. "When?" Willow just smiles but the expression on her face changes as her hand goes to her stomach. "Red?"

"She moved." She looks into Kennedy's surprised face. "She kicked." She takes Kennedy's hand and puts it under hers. "There-did you feel it?" Kennedy just nods as tears fall. Willow kisses her forehead.


Planning
An hour later the witch and the young Slayer are still in the training room. They are sitting on the mats, Kennedy has her hand on Willow's stomach. "Come on baby-just once for mama?"

Willow smiles and runs her fingers through Kennedy's hair. "I don't think she's gonna move."

"But the other one did-"

"But she's not her sister-maybe she doesn't want to move yet-or maybe she's shy-she's just being her own little person."

"Or just stubborn." She gives Willow a look.

"And what are you implying by that comment missy?" Willow chimes back playfully.

"Just that it might be a family trait."

"Yeah, you're a little stubborn."

"Me?-No, you."

Again Willow smiles, "Only when I know I'm right." She kisses the young Slayer on the forehead. They sit quietly, "I'm just saying that we shouldn't expect them to be alike-"

"I get that, she may like Italian-"

"And the other not so much. Let's let them be who they are-no pressure-okay?"

"Okay-whatever they want to be."

"As long as they're doctors-" she smiles playfully.

"Or maybe musicians-" she smiles too.

Willow kisses her lips lightly. "I really need to get back to work."

Kennedy stands and holds her hand out to Willow. She helps her to her feet. "I need to check with Buffy too."

"Meet you in the library at 3:00?" Kennedy nods. "The others should be there by then, we can tell them the news."

Kennedy leans down and kisses the redhead's stomach. "Bye babies." She turns to leave.

Willow acting hurt. "Hey-" Kennedy looks confused. "Don't I get a kiss?"

Kennedy leans in and kisses her lips softly-her hands move to Willow's face and they kiss again. "Sorry." Whispers the young Slayer as she pulls out of the kiss. She caresses her face- "Bye."

Willow just watches her leave as she bites her bottom lip.

Hugging and more hugging, followed by squeals has Giles and Xander congratulating the happy couple and then leaving. Dawn is dancing around the room. "So there's going to be a wedding with dresses and flowers and-"

"Yes Dawn-all those things." Buffy suddenly seems unsure, she turns to Willow. "Right-no sneaking off?"

"Right," confirms the redhead. "And cake!" she gets excited. Kennedy holds her hand and smiles.

"When?" asks the bouncing teenager.

"I'm not sure-we haven't really made plans." Willow answers.

"Soon-" says the young Slayer softly.

"Soon," agrees the redhead, with a smile and a squeeze of her hand.

Later that night Willow and Kennedy are sitting on the balcony. They are cuddled together on a chase lounge, fingers intertwined. "We really need to decide some things." Says the young Slayer softly."

"I know-baby things or wedding things first?"

Kennedy turns to face her. "Baby things-we need to go shopping."

"True-how about tomorrow?"

"We'll buy furniture and clothes-"

"And lots of toys?" Asks the redhead eagerly.

"Anything you want." They are quiet, Kennedy lays her hand on Willow's stomach. Willow smiles. "Have you thought of names?"

"Nothing definite."

"But ideas?"

"A few-I like pretty much traditional names-since with the teasing when I was growing up. Katherine or Emily, an-and Megan. How about you?"

"I like them, -yeah."

"No, I mean have you thought of names?"

Kennedy's voice is quiet, "Alyson-it was my grandmother's name.-I -Alyson." Willow touches her cheek gently-as a tear falls from the young woman's eyes. She kisses her softly. "I miss her-after my parents split up-I was there a lot."

"I love you-" Their eyes meet and Kennedy buries her face into Willow's shoulder as the tears continue to fall. The redhead rubs her back trying to soothe her.

The next day they are going for shop to shop looking at furniture. Finally at the fourth place they find baby beds and a dresser. "Sure?" Asks the young Slayer as she looks toward the witch.

She nods, "But they're awfully expensive."

"You like them?" Again Willow nods. "Then we get them." They walk hand-in-hand toward the clerk.

Later they are shopping for clothes. They look at dresses and little jumpers- "Remember-no matching stuff, individuals." Says Willow.

"I remember-" They fill a cart with clothes and then accessories, hats, socks, and even little tennis shoes and sandals. The clerk looks shocked as the walk her way.

Last they go to the toy store-Willow is ecstatic, she looks at all the stuffed animals, and finally chooses four. She then finds rattles and teething rings. She roams around for over an hour playing with and generally checking out the toys. Kennedy watches smiling.

Finally home they put all of the bags in the nursery. Kennedy has her arm around the redhead as she looks around the room. "The painters will be here tomorrow and then the furniture the day after and we'll be ready."

"Not so sure if ready is the right way to put it. We'll have the room ready-not sure I'm ready." Her nervousness evident again.

"We're ready-" says the young Slayer as she picks up an outfit and smiles.

"How are you so sure?"

"Just I trust you-I know I can count on you.-So, it makes it easy." Willow smiles and hugs her. Kennedy kisses her forehead. "You should take a nap-it's been a busy day."

"I am a little tired. Snuggle with me?"

Kennedy smiles, "Who could turn down an offer like that."

Later Willow is sleeping peacefully. The young Slayer kisses her forehead gently then sees the outfit on the bed beside them She picks it up and runs her fingers along the edges. "So little-" She lays it on Willow's stomach. "I'm not sure how good I'm going to be at this-just know I'll do my best." She smiles as she feels a baby move. Willow's eyes open slowly.

"You woke them up-" She gives her an evil look.

"Sorry- wait, them-both of them?"

Willow nods as Kennedy moves her hand to the other side and smiles. "Just so you know-you do that after they're born you get to get them to sleep again."

"I'll do it now if you want me to."

"How exactly?" Questions the witch.

Kennedy moves down and rests her cheek on Willow's stomach she begins to talk to the babies. "Mommy needs to sleep-so I'm going to tell you a story okay?"

Willow listens as the young woman tells her unborn children about the 'Tortoise and the Hare'. She smiles and closes her eyes as the babies calm and Kennedy's soft voice disappears. Her brown eyes tear over as she thinks of the first time she heard the story.


The Watchers
A week later Willow is hanging up the phone as Kennedy walks in the front door. "Hey-" She smiles. "How'd it go with the garden?"

"We're set-the rose garden two weeks from Saturday." Kennedy walks to her and hugs her. "Any luck with the minister?" Willow shakes her head. "Don't worry-there's still plenty of time."

Willow picks up her keys. "The caterer is supposed to call back at noon and I should be back by two."

Kennedy looks unsure, "Where are you going?"

"With Buffy to find a dress.-What are you wearing by the way?"

"Not telling." She kisses her softly. "See you later-" Kennedy rubs Willow's stomach. "Bye babies." The redhead smiles.

Willow and Buffy are looking at dresses in a small boutique. The clerk shows them several but Willow shakes her head. "Maybe if you described what you wanted," suggests Buffy.

"I would if I knew." Buffy touches one on the mannequin.

"This one's beautiful Wills-"

"Yeah-but," she looks down at her growing stomach. "It won't fit in two weeks."

The clerk smiles, "I may know a way." Willow smiles as she bites her bottom lip.

Days later the young couple are still without a minister. Willow slams the phone down as Giles walks by. He steps inside concerned. "Is there a problem?"

"I'm getting married in less than two weeks and I can't find anyone to marry us."

Giles gets lost in thought and begins to write on a piece of paper. "Give him a call-tell him Rupert recommended him."

Willow smiles and nods. "Thanks-you got a few minutes? -Kennedy is picking me up for my appointment; we wanted to talk to you."

"Of course." He sits down across from her. He smiles when he sees the files on her desk. "What do you think of your students?"

"Interesting-I was trying to divide them by ability, but I think I've changed my mind."

"Why's that?"

"I want to start them over from the beginning, teach them the things Tara tried to teach me-the things the coven taught me."

He nods approvingly.

Kennedy walks in and Willow's smile brightens. The redhead blushes as the young Slayer walks up and kisses her. "Hey-"

"I asked Giles if we could talk-" the witch seems nervous. "We were wondering if you would give us away?"

"Both of you?" They nod- "I would be honored but I'm not sure how-"

"Dawn figured it all out-"

"Dawn? -Very reassuring." They all smile.

The stars are shining in the moon filled sky as Kennedy walks onto the balcony. She is pacing and talking quietly. "How did you talk me into this? It's those damn eyes-that look that no one can resist." She paces some more and then stops; she looks toward the bedroom. "I'm not good with words in front of people. I'm going to screw this up. Okay-let's try it." She takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly. "I always get my way-I told you that once-told you that you were my way." Her voice fades.

A few days before the wedding a nervous and slightly larger Willow is getting ready for work she is standing in front of the mirror in her bra and panties looking at herself. "The dress is never going to fit-I look like a hippo." She mutters.

She feels Kennedy's hand on her shoulder and then her rounded stomach. "No-you look beautiful-" she kisses her neck.

"You're just saying that."

"Right-when was the last time I didn't say what I thought-I am in no danger of winning Miss Tactful of 2003." She begins to caress the witch's shoulder and Willow's eyes close as she feels Kennedy's lips on her bare skin. They first kiss a path across her shoulders and then on the back of her neck. Kennedy tightens her hold as she feels Willow's knees wobble. "Bed?" She leads the redhead to their bed and they lay down facing each other. Kennedy's lips find Willow's and they kiss passionately. "You okay?"

"Ummm-yeah-okay." Willow looks into her dark eyes and her breath hitches as she feels Kennedy's hand slide up the inside of her leg. She moves slightly giving the young Slayer more room. She moans softly as the hand teases just short of where she wants and needs it.

Kennedy watches the look on her face, in her eyes-and as she finally caresses the witch she sees the emotion there just before they close tightly. She arches against Kennedy's touch and bites her bottom lip. Kennedy's lips brush the bare skin just below her right breast. She smiles as Willow's breathing escalates. "So beautiful-"

The day of the wedding a very nervous Kennedy is standing in front of a mirror in a stunning white pantsuit. The pants are low riders, that hang snuggly on her hips and the top is a sleeveless, form fitting v-neck that shows just a tiny bit of her stomach. There is a knock on the door and she looks toward it. "Ah-yeah-come in." The door opens and Xander stands just inside his eye staring at her amazed. "Say something."

"Ah-wow-that's about all the brain cells I can spare at the moment." She gives him a playful evil look and then smiles. He walks to her and hugs her. "Again-wow."

"So you think it's okay?"

"I'm tempted to propose myself."

"Sorry, already taken."

"I didn't mean a marriage proposal." She steps back and swats at him. "Hey-"

"Willow is going to love it."

"I hope-"

"Ready to go?"

"Ah-nervous all of a sudden- what if I forget my vows to her?"

"You won't-besides if you leave something out, who would know but you?"

"Good point-okay, let's do this." Xander holds out his hand and she takes it. They get to the door but she stops- "Xander I just want to thank you-"

"For standing beside you-no problem."

"For that night, at the motel-it helped to know that she cared too. Gave me the push to tell her I loved her."

"Oh-that, glad I could help. Promise me you'll take care of her."

"Promise." They go out the door.

Willow is also standing in front of a mirror-Buffy is behind her lacing the dress. She looks up at the reflection of the redhead; she sees a nervous smile and a few tears. "All ready-"she touches her shoulder.

Willow turns to face her. Buffy battles her own tears. "Don't-if you cry-I'll cry and my make up-"

Buffy wipes her eyes, "Okay-" she hugs her best friend. Then pulls back to look at her. "Happy?" Willow nods. "You deserve happy."

"So do you-"

"Some day-maybe."

"Angel?" questions the witch as she raises an eyebrow.

Buffy smiles playfully as she leans into Willow, "Maybe.-Come on someone's probably getting a little antsy-we're a few minutes late." She takes Willow's hand and they walk toward the door.

Giles is standing at the door waiting for the young couple. Kennedy and Xander reach him first. Xander hugs the young Slayer and gives her hand to Giles. He goes quietly through the doors. A few seconds later Buffy and Willow join them. Buffy hugs Willow and gives her hand to Giles. She leaves also. Willow and Kennedy stare at each other but bite their bottom lip. They start a conversation in each other's heads.

Willow speaks- 'You're beautiful baby.'

'Gorgeous-very lickable.' Willow blushes and they both smile. They are brought out of their thoughts by the sound of Giles' voice.

"Shall we?"

"Absolutely." Says the witch as they both take his arm, one on each side of him. They walk towards the doors.

As they walk down the flower-covered path they see their friends. They are both surprised to see that everyone has flown in. When they reach the minister, Giles takes Willow's hand and joins it with Kennedy's. He then kisses each girl on the cheek and goes to sit beside Dawn.

The couple looks at each other nervously, "I love you," whispers the young Slayer.

The redhead squeezes her hand, "I love you."

"We are here to celebrate the joining of this couple-they have chosen to write and say their own vows. Kennedy-"

She and Willow face each other their hands still joined. "Will-" she starts and then stops-her voice trembling. She tries again. "I told you once that I always get my way-then I said you-you were my way-" Her eyes tear. "But- now I know the truth-love isn't getting your way; it's giving way allowing yourself to care about the other person-people more than you do yourself. You taught me that and so much more. I love you and I want to spend my life with you always."

Willow touches Kennedy's face-she is fighting her own tears. "Always-" she whispers. "You get your way because you fight for it. No matter how much I tried to push you away-you were there in my face fighting to get in my heart and you did. You believed in me when I didn't believe in myself-trusted me when I didn't trust myself, loved me when I didn't even like me." Willow is crying the words spoken between bouts of calm. She forces a smile- "You're my way and-I-I'm yours-" She leans in and kisses her softly. "

"Their vows exchanged, may I present the Langdons."


When It Raynes
There are honeymoons, and then there are honeymoons. The young couple is lying on their balcony looking up at the stars. Willow is snuggled against the brunette-her head resting on her chest and her arm draped over her waist. Kennedy is playing with the witch's hair. "It's late-you should be asleep." Whispers Kennedy as she kisses Willow on the head-her hand rubbing her back. "You didn't nap today-the doctor won't be happy."

Willow smiles-"I think he'll understand just this once. Big day-"

"A little wedding-"

"A little honeymoon-" Willow looks up into Kennedy's eyes raising her eyebrows suggestively.

Kennedy smiles and kisses her lips, "Sorry-honeymoon's over." The redhead gives her the famous puppy dog eyes. "Not going to work-" her voice confident. Willow slides her fingers under the edge of the Slayer's shirt playing with the bare skin there. Kennedy takes her hand and laces their fingers together. "Rest." Willow lays her head back down surrendering.

The next day the newlyweds are walking hand-in-hand through the park. They are talking and smiling, stopping occasionally for a quick kiss. They finally stop at an ice cream vendor-Kennedy buying each of them a cone. They walk to a bench and sit down. "You sorry we didn't take a trip?" Asks the young Slayer.

"No-I'm happy here, with you."

"What do you want to do next?" She leans across and whispers in the girl's ear. Willow blushes as Kennedy looks at her eyebrows raised. "Really?"

The redhead nods. "Is that a yes?"

"We'll see-" Willow growls in frustration- "Will-I just want to be careful. If anything happened-" "It won't-the doctor said-"

She puts a finger on Willow's lips- "You're feeling okay?"

The redhead kisses the finger and takes the hand in hers. "Tired sometimes but it's normal.-I've done everything the doctor has said to do. I cut back at the Academy-I haven't touched my computer in weeks-no mochas since before I knew for sure-you can't expect me to stop-I need you." Kennedy leans forward and kisses her. The kiss escalates quickly, Kennedy's hand caressing her girl's side. Willow moans softly. "Please-baby?" she whispers as they pull out of the kiss at the same time. The young Slayer nods and then stands. She holds her hand out to Willow who takes it and stands too. As she does her hand goes to her stomach. "Hummm."

"Willow?"

"Kennedy-aww-" She doubles in pain.

Kennedy almost panics, but the fear in Willow's eyes keeps her strong. "Sit-" she helps her to the bench. Willow is still in pain her hands holding her stomach. "Talk to me."

"Cramping-it hurts." Tears start to fall. "Kennedy what's happening?- Don't let-"

"No-I won't-they'll be okay." She takes out her phone and dials an ambulance and then the doctor. She sits next to the redhead and holds her.

A hour later at the hospital Kennedy is standing outside the door marked hospital staff only. She begins to pace again she stops when she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns to see Xander and he hugs her. "How is she?"

"They haven't told me anything-it's been over an hour-Xander-" She fights to stop tears as he holds her tighter. The door opens and Dr. Westridge walks over to them. "Is she okay?"

"Resting-let's sit." They walk to a conference area and sit down.

"What happened?"

"Her blood pressure is elevated-it could be some early signs of preeclampsia. I would like to keep her and runs some tests."

"So it's serious?"

"If I'm right about the cause-yes, but it's treatable."

"Can I see her?"

"Let us get her settled in a room-actually talk to her first. She's scared-"

"Which doesn't exactly help with the blood pressure thing," says Xander.

Kennedy stands and follows the doctor.

In the exam room Willow is laying on her side staring at the door. She is crying-her face is wet with tears. The door opens and Kennedy walks in. She quietly sits beside her and hugs her. "They're okay-the doctor is going to do some tests. Then we'll know what to do."

"I'm so scared."

"I know-but it's best for them if you try to relax. Stress isn't what we want right now. So-will you leave the worrying to me?" The redhead nods and Kennedy kisses her softly. She pulls back and caresses her face. "Xander's here-and we'll meet you in the room once they have you settled."

"I don't want to stay here."

"It's what you have to do-for the babies. I'll be in the room with you the whole time."

"Even when-with the needles?"

"Holding your hand." The young Slayer nods.

"Okay-" she kisses her gently. She struggles to stop the tears.

Across town the pub is loud and smoke-filled. At a table in the corner you see a man drinking alone. He looks up and realizes her has company. "What was so important?" asks the man.

"Sit-" He does and a woman brings him a drink. When she leaves the conversation continues. "I have some information that might interest you. There was a wedding-" the man stands. "Rupert Giles called in a favor." The man sits again.

"So Ripper is back-?"

"He's been back awhile-rebuilt the counsel-some sort of academy for watchers and Slayers-" there is a pause "and witches."

Ethan smiles-"Excellent-so she's here." The man nods.


It's About Power
The tests are finished. Willow is lying on her left side her eyes closed. Kennedy is sitting next to her in a chair holding her hand. She looks toward Xander tears threatening to fall. He walks over to her and puts his hands on her shoulders.

Kennedy's voice is soft and shaky-"She looks so vulnerable-"

"But she's strong-she'll be okay." He assures the young woman.

"I can't lose-" tears fall. She feels Willow squeeze her hand and as she looks at her their eyes meet. She forces a smile. "Hey-" She stands and leans down to kiss her softly but Willow touches her cheek. "What?"

"You're crying-"

"No-" Willow gives her a look that says don't lie to me. "Well- Xander and his jokes-he had me in tears." She looks toward him for back up.

"Have you heard the one about-"

The witch gives them both her resolve face. "Neither of you can lie-"

Kennedy kisses her gently and rests her hand on Willow's stomach as she sits on the side of the bed. Before the redhead can get the truth from her, the door opens and the doctor comes inside.

"Dr. Westridge-" Kennedy states the obvious.

"I'll be in the waiting room." He kisses Willow on the forehead, squeezes Kennedy's shoulder and leaves.

"All the test results are back."

"And?" Asks the couple in unison.

"Preeclampsia, but in the very early stages."

"Which means what exactly?" Asks the redhead.

"We need to get your blood pressure down."

"How do we do that?"

"Diet-bed rest. I'd like to keep you a few days just as a precaution."

Kennedy finally speaks her voice soft and a little shaky. "But the babies-they're okay?" She looks from Willow to the doctor.

"They are." She looks at the anxious couple. "Why don't we-I'll be right back." She leaves.

Willow looks at Kennedy, then leans forward and kisses her. "It's okay to be scared." She brushes her hair back from her girl's face and gently caresses her cheek.

Kennedy fights tears-refusing to breakdown in front of the witch. "I'm not-"

"Okay-" she kisses her forehead. The door opens and the doctor comes in carrying a device of some sort.

"Want to listen to their heartbeats?" Willow nods and lies on her back as she adjusts her gown the doctor gets the instrument ready. "It might take a minute for me to find it-I haven't used one of these in a while." She moves the wand around and after only a few seconds you can hear the steady pounding of the baby's heart. Kennedy's tears finally fall-Willow rubs her arm. The doctor moves to find the other baby and as she does so again the thump thud echoes in the room. "Okay?" Willow nods and she turns it off. "I'll check on you in the morning and we'll talk about diet and a few other things." She leaves again.

Kennedy crawls onto the bed and spoons around the witch. "I love you," whispers the redhead as she puts her arms around Kennedy's.

"I love you." She kisses Willow's shoulder.

Ethan Rayne is standing outside of the Academy. He smiles as he sees Giles walking out. He walks toward a car and gets inside. He waits for the Watcher to drive by and follows him. Giles stops outside the hospital and Ethan follows him inside. He stands at the corner as he watches Giles go into a room. Once he is out of sight Ethan walks closer. He listens to the voices-Giles is talking to someone. "So, you're feeling better?" He hears Giles ask.

The next voice is that of a young woman. "The doctor said I could go home tomorrow."

"Excellent," says Giles, "Buffy is checking in tonight I'll give her the good news.

Then another female voice, "So she got to Cleveland okay?"

"Landed this morning, she sends her love."

Ethan smiles and speaks so only he can hear. "No Slayer-this isn't a challenge at all. Oh-well-can't have everything." He walks away.

At the pub that night Ethan is talking to the same man. "Are you sure two will be enough?" Asks the man.

"Without the Slayer?-I could probably bind her powers and get her into the car myself, but since it will be daylight-I'll take the added precaution.'

"I'll have them ready to meet."

"Have them outside the hospital at noon." The man stands, then nods and leaves.

The doctor is talking to Willow who standing next to Kennedy. "It's important that you follow the diet."

"I understand-no salt, all healthy. Plus lots of water-drinking like a fish." Kennedy giggles. Willow understands her outburst and looks shocked. - "No-no drinking of alcohol-just water."

"And rest-in bed at least six hours."

"Don't worry-she'll rest."

"Absolutely-don't want to be back here."

"Then I'll see you in my office on Friday-call if you have a problem-or questions."

"Thanks." Says the young Slayer as she takes the redhead's hand. They walk toward the door.

Outside the hospital is Ethan-he is watching with two men. As Kennedy and Willow walk out the men approach them. Kennedy stops and looks at the witch. "What's wrong?"

"Ah-Slayer senses-all jazzy." She moves the redhead behind her. The two men continue toward them-"I don't see anything."

Willow looks around them-"Just those two."

"Stop-" shouts the young Slayer and they morph into larger creatures of some kind. Their features are still mostly human but of a more primal origin. As they attack Ethan steps forward and begins to chant.

As he does Willow sees him and looks at Kennedy who is now fighting the demons. She knocks one to the ground with a roundhouse kick-before she can hit the other one a force field is protecting them. She looks at the witch and can tell that the spell is draining her. "Will-I can handle them."

"It's Ethan-" Kennedy sees the other man. "He is big with the magicks this can't be good."

"Can you hold him?"

"Maybe-for awhile." As the words leave her mouth the barrier begins to weaken. "Then again I'm thinking -no."

The barrier falls.


It's About Love
Kennedy looks at the witch as she loses control of the force field. "Willow!" She turns back to the attackers and meets the first with a fury of kicks and punches. He finally falls-as she glances back to Willow she sees her fall to the ground. She starts toward her but stops as she faces Ethan. He starts to mumble something as she runs to her redhead. She kneels beside her. "Will?"

"Just drained-" her breathing is heavy. Kennedy takes her hand and helps her to her feet.

Willow looks toward Ethan her hand still laced with her Slayers. She raises her other hand toward him and then looks at Kennedy-"I need to borrow-"

"Take all you need." The young Slayer braces for the jolt she knows is coming as Willow begins an incantation. Suddenly as a flash of light leaves the witch's hand Ethan disappears and the remaining demon runs. "Is he?" She looks at Willow. "You know?"

"No!-no-I just, he's someplace not here." Kennedy nods as the redhead leans against her.

Kennedy puts a hand on Willow's stomach and their eyes meet. Everything okay?"

"Tired-but I think so." As if on cue the babies kick and Kennedy smiles. "Home now please?"

"What about that guy?"

"We'll call Giles."

Hours later one brassed off Watcher, one Slayer, and Xander walk into a pub. Without a word they follow Giles into a back room. He looks toward the corner and sees Ethan. The man stands nervously and starts toward the rear exit. Xander meets him there. "This isn't a Halloween trick-stay away from WIllow." His voice is filled with a menacing tone.

He looks toward Giles and is soon surrounded by the three. Kennedy grabs him by the shirt and holds him off his feet and against the wall. Giles speaks. "Ethan-"

"Ripper."

Kennedy hits him in the face. "If we're finished with small talk, I'll get to the point. Try to hurt Willow again and you die."

"Going to fancy a guess and say new Slayer?"

"New Slayer-one of many. All greatly indebted to one Miss Rosenberg." Kennedy looks at Giles. "Langdon, sorry." He corrects himself.

"Understandable with the newness." She smiles but it fades as she glares at Ethan. "Stay the hell away from her." She hits him again and lets him go. She turns to leave as he slides to the ground.

Giles helps him to his feet and he and Xander drag him to a booth. Ethan looks at Giles. "Sorry ole man, had to try-"

"The prophecy-?"

Ethan nods, "That baby is very powerful-"

Xander nods, "So are her parents. You should pass the word-a witch and a Slayer-consequences of pissing them off, all very bad."

Ethan smiles as he realizes the extent of Xander's words. "That was Miss Langdon I had the pleasure of just meeting?"

"It was," states Giles. "She's young, hot tempered-worse than Buffy was. Anything happens she'll make good her threat. Even if it isn't you." The watcher smiles knowing that Ethan must now help protect those he had tried to capture.

A week later Willow and Kennedy are at the OB/GYN for their appointment. They are in her office after the exam. Kennedy and Willow are sitting next to each other, fingers intertwined. The doctor is leaning against the desk in front of them.

"The blood work looks very good and your pressure is down."

"It should be, she won't let me out of bed for more than an hour at a time." She looks toward Kennedy.

Her mind hears Kennedy's smirk filled reply. 'You never use to complain about me keeping you in bed.'

Willow blushes, 'Kennedy-I-so not-sex jokes now when we can't-not a good idea.'

"Sorry," is Kennedy's vocalized response.

"How are the childbirth classes going?"

"Interesting-" She looks toward her Slayer. "Kennedy's a great coach." They both smile.

"Have you decided about the delivery?"

"Natural-"

"As long as it's safe for the babies." Kennedy adds.

"That shouldn't be a problem. They are in great positions-both head down. In fact I would bet you have babies before your next scheduled visit."

"Willow and Kennedy look at each other. "But I'm only 36 weeks-it's too early." She looks worried.

"Multiples can be early-it shouldn't be a problem. They may be a little small-but healthy."

The redhead breathes a sigh of relief and puts her head on Kennedy's shoulder. "Wow-a week and then-I'll be-they'll be here."

"I can't wait." Whispers the young Slayer. Willow smiles as their hands go to her stomach.

A few nights later Kennedy awakes to find her bed empty. She looks toward the balcony expecting to see the redhead there but she isn't. Kennedy gets out of bed and goes down the hall. She stops outside the new nursery and smiles as she sees her sitting in the rocking chair-playing with one of the stuffed animals. "Are you okay?"

Willow looks toward her. "Yeah-just couldn't sleep." Kennedy walks over to her and puts her hand on Willow's stomach.

"They keeping you awake?"

"No more than usual-" she rubs her stomach. Kennedy kneels down and kisses the redhead's rounded stomach. Willow runs her fingers through her hair. "You okay?"

"Honestly?" She looks into Willow's eyes.

"Honestly."

"I'm excited and a little nervous."

"Does that little mean a lot?"

"Maybe-would you be disappointed?"

"No-nervous is normal-I'd worry if you weren't."

"Well then no worries."

Willow brushes her fingers against the young Slayer's cheek. "I love you."

"Come back to bed."

"Can we snuggle?"

"Snuggling is on my list." Kennedy stands and then helps her up."

"Really, what else is on your list?" Their lips meet in a soft kiss.

As she pulls away she smiles- "I thought I would tell them a story."

"I like stories-"

"I know." She puts an arm around the redhead and they go towards their room.

A week later and the babies have yet to make their appearance. Willow is having trouble sleeping and Kennedy is getting more nervous with each passing day. Willow has her appointment later in the day-her second appointment since the doctor told her she wouldn't have any more. So much for the science of modern medicine.

Kennedy is standing on the balcony staring at the garden. She looks serious and concerned. She puts on a fake smile as she feels a hand in hers. She turns to see the redhead there. Willow kisses her softly. "You ready to go?" asks her Slayer.

"Yeah-what's wrong?"

"Tired- tired of waiting."

"Soon sweetie-they'll be here soon."

"What's wrong with now?" "They have plans that aren't so much with the now. Mostly the later-" Kennedy nods her understanding.

Willow is lying down as the doctor is examining her. "I know you don't like the vaginal exam-"

"Not so much no-but if you think-I mean it's okay."

The doctor puts on her gloves and Willow takes Kennedy's hand. You hear the doctor's voice as Willow's eyes lock with Kennedy's. "You'll feel some pressure." Willow squeezes her eyes shut tightly her body tensing.

Kennedy puts her lips on the girl's cheek-then whispers in her ear. "Relax." Willow's eyes open and she sees Kennedy's comforting smile. "It's almost over." She strokes the redhead's cheek.

The pressure ends and the doctor tosses the gloves into the garbage. "Willow you're dilated to one. How long have you been having contractions?"

"I-I didn't know I was. It felt the same as the braxton-hicks thingies."

"She's in labor?" Asks the excited young Slayer.

"Definitely."

"Now what? We go to the hospital right?" Again the Slayer questions.

"Go home-"

This time Willow asks, "Go home?"

"Go home-pack your suitcase, get your birth plan, time the contractions-when they get 5 minutes apart, then call me and go to the hospital." "Go home?" the redhead asks again.

"Yep-"

A couple of hours later Kennedy sets the suitcase by the door. She hurries back into the bedroom only to find it empty. Her voice is almost panicked-"Willow?"

"Out here-" comes the reply from the balcony.

Kennedy walks out to find her redhead looking down at the garden. She smiles and stands behind her, her arms sliding around her waist and her head against her shoulder. "You okay?-anymore contractions?"

"No-not since we got home."

"Why don't you take a nap? It's going to be a long night."

"Lunch first and then a nap."

"I'll fix whatever you want."

"Will you cut the crusts off my sandwich?" The redhead smiles as she turns in Kennedy's arms. The young Slayer just nods. "And make me tea?" Again she nods as she puts a hand on Willow's stomach then leans in and kisses her lips softly.

An hour later Kennedy is spooned around Willow on their bed. Her hands trace small circles on her stomach as the redhead breaths through a contraction. When it ends she takes a cleansing breath and lets it out. "That one stronger?"

"Just a little," says the redhead as she turns in Kennedy's arms.

"Should we call the doctor?"

"No-still lots of time. Let's go for a walk."

"A walk? Are you sure?"

"Just outside in the garden-still close to the phone."

Kennedy caresses her girl's stomach. "Okay-" She slides out of bed and around to Willow's side to help her up.

As they reach the garden Willow turns and leans against Kennedy as a contraction starts. Her head rests on the young Slayer's shoulder. She takes her cleansing breath and does the breathing exercises like they practiced in class. Kennedy is whispering softly in her ear. "That's it baby-concentrate and stay relaxed." Her hands runs up and down the redhead's arms. "That's good, just like that- should be almost over." Willow takes another cleansing breath and lets it out as she looks in Kennedy's eyes. "Pretty strong one?"

"Yep-wow." They continue to walk hand-in-hand through the garden. Willow picks a flower and puts it behind Kennedy's ear. "Beautiful." She smiles.

Kennedy smiles and kisses her cheek. "Thanks-"

"You okay?"

"Great-you?"

"Nervous-but just a little. Kennedy- I -"

"I know-we're going to be moms."

"You ready for that?" Willow looks unsure. "Cause I don't know if I am."

"Can't wait-I'm going to teach them-we're going to teach them everything."

"We could screw up teach them wrong stuff-"

"We might-but I don't think so. You're the smartest person I've ever known-you've taught me things about people-about myself-they couldn't be in better hands Red." She leans in and kisses her lips and then her forehead. "We're going to rock at this mom thing-trust me."

"I do-" They continue their walk.

Once back inside the house Kennedy braces Willow who is having a much more intense contraction. When it ends she holds on to Kennedy's arms. "Call the doctor-time to go."

"Right-" she runs to the phone but it is not there. "Damn! Where is it?" Willow smiles as she points to the coffee table. Just one second from panicking the young Slayer picks it up and starts to dial a number. She looks back toward her redhead. "Red?"

"What is it sweetie?"

Tears start to fall and Willow walks toward her. She wraps her in her arms. Kennedy buries her face against Willow's shoulder. "I can't remember the number." Willow smiles and kisses her on the top of the head.

At the hospital later, Willow is breathing through a contraction as she leans against her Slayer. When it ends she feels Kennedy kiss her neck. "Better?" asks the young Slayer.

"Hmmm-lips are cool-feels good." Kennedy kisses her neck again. The door opens and the doctor walks in she smiles at the young couple. Willow forces her eyes open and looks toward the door. "Hi-doc." Kennedy pulls her lips away from Willow's skin as she blushes slightly.

"Are the contractions still regular?"

"About every four minutes," answers Kennedy.

"And way stronger," adds the redhead. "When did the nurse check you last?"

"About twenty minutes ago-I was still at three." Willow's breathing increases as she has another contraction. She leans into Kennedy as the young woman whispers to her softly.

Kennedy checks her watch. "Cleansing breath and stay relaxed-lean on me. That's it Red-good-that's good." She looks at the watch again. "Should be coming down soon-" she kisses the top of her head. Willow looks into her eyes and Kennedy can see the weariness there. "Let's get you back in bed for awhile." She helps Willow onto the bed and then gets her settled.

"I need to see if there's been any progress." Willow nods and takes Kennedy's hand as the doctor slips on her glove. "Pressure remember."

"Not likely to forget." She bites her lip and squeezes Kennedy's hand as the doctor checks her.

The doctor throws away the glove and looks at the two women. "You're at five."

"Half way-" Smiles the young Slayer.

"Only five-I'm so tired."

"I know-we'll try to get some sleep."

"Good idea-I'll check back in an hour or so." Willow nods and the doctor leaves.

"Close your eyes-"

"I can't sleep without you." She gives Kennedy the puppy dog eyes.

"If they throw me out-"

"They won't." Kennedy crawls into the bed with her. She sits up behind the redhead and Willow leans against her. She closes her eyes. "I love you."

"I love you-now sleep." The door opens and the nurse comes in she looks at the young Slayer. She begins to set up the tray for the delivery.

An hour later the nurse checks Willow and smiles, "Six almost seven." She says as she throws the glove away. "Can I get you anything? More ice or some juice?"

"That would be great," answers the young Slayer. The nurse leaves.

"I need them to be here now. I'm so tired and it hurts so much-I want it over." She is on the verge of tears.

"Soon sweetie-soon and you can hold them and tell them how much you love them. What color hair do you think they'll have?"

"Brown-like yours." The redhead forces a smile as Kennedy kisses her neck again. Willow's eyes close as she leans back into the touch. Her anxiety gone for now. Kennedy strokes her stomach with her fingers-she feels it start to tighten and warns her lover.

"Another one baby-ready? Deep breath in and then out."

Willow does as she is told. Her breathing quickens as she feels the pain. "Oh-Goddess-I can't-"

"You can-come on. Focus-relax and breath." Kennedy demonstrates for her and Willow begins the exercise. "That's right-I love you." She kisses her cheek.

Buffy comes in about an hour later. The nurse smiles at Willow-"Ready to push?" Willow nods. "I'll get the doctor."

She leaves as Buffy walks over to them. "Just in time."

"Xander?" asks the redhead.

"In the waiting room with Giles and Dawn."

"What they can face the end of the world but not this?"

"Pretty much. I just wanted to let you know we're here."

Kennedy smiles, "You going to hide out too?"

"It's a private thing- I'll see you after." She leans down and kisses Willow on the cheek. "I love you."

"I know." Buffy leaves and Kennedy looks a little unsure

"Should I be worried?"

"About?"

"You and Buffy?"

Willow smiles, "No-she's my best friend."

"I thought that was Xander?"

"It is-I mean Xander's my best boy friend and Buffy's my best girl friend. -Not girlfriend-I mean friend who's a girl."

Kennedy smiles, "Willow babble-I've missed that."

Willow turns and pulls Kennedy into a passionate kiss. "I've missed that." She says as she breaks the kiss. They both smile but Willow's fades as a contraction starts. "I need to push-" Her eyes wide at the new sensation.

Kennedy hits the call button. "No!"

"Can't help it." She begins to push as the doctor and nurse come in.

"She's coming now." Explains the suddenly nervous young Slayer.

An hour later Kennedy is standing beside Willow. The redhead is pushing as the young Slayer counts. "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-one more time. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10." Willow cries out as Kennedy watches in amazement as the baby's head appears.

"Just breath-don't push." Willow pants as the doctor rotate the baby's head and check to make sure the cord is clear. "That's it Willow on the next push she'll be here."

"Got to push now-"

"Okay-give me a little push."

Kennedy starts to count, "1,2,3-" but stops as the baby is delivered and laid on Willow's stomach. "Willow-" She touches the baby's hand then looks at Willow. "Look at her-she's here." Kennedy fights to control tears. The baby cries and Willow tries to comfort her.

"Shhh-it's okay-you're okay." She rubs her arm.

"Kennedy?" She hands the scissors to the young woman. Kennedy cuts the cord.

She gives them back and touches the baby's hand then leans down and kisses Willow softly on the lips. "She's beautiful-Will."

Willow kisses the baby gently on the head. "Goddess she's really here. Hi Aly-hey." Both of the young women cry as they softly talk to their daughter. The baby nuzzles against Willow and the nurse smiles.

"She's hungry. Are you planning to-" Willow blushes, "Yeah-so it's okay to nurse her-now I mean?"

The doctor speaks, "You can try but you might be interrupted."

Kennedy smiles- "No, not by Andrea-she's never in a hurry." Kennedy helps Willow fix her gown and the baby latches quickly and begins to nurse. Willow strokes the baby's face with her finger as she eats. Kennedy caresses Willow's cheek with her fingers as she watches the baby eat. "You okay?"

"We're good-you?"

"Still with the wow-there's one more."

"Look how little," says Willow as Kennedy holds out the baby's fingers.

"But strong," says the young Slayer as the baby closes her fingers around hers.

As Willow finishes nursing the baby she hands her to Kennedy. This contraction is more intense. "Ahh-I got to push." She looks toward the doctor and then to Kennedy.

The young Slayer hands the baby to the nurse who takes her to the warmer to clean her up and weigh and measure her. "Ready Will?" Willow nods and begins to push. "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-" She hears the baby fuss and looks that direction-so does the redhead. "She okay?"

"She's fine."

Again Willow pushes and Kennedy counts for her as she helps her sit up. The baby crowns and Kennedy tears up again. "She's almost here."

"Big push and you'll have your second daughter." Willow pushes and then stops as the baby's head emerges. With the doctor's signal she pushes again and the baby comes out crying. The doctor puts her on Willow's chest as Kennedy cuts the cord. The nurse cleans her face as Willow pulls her closer to her. The baby continues to kick and cry.

Kennedy smiles at Willow and the redhead smiles back through her tears. "Red hair-and a temper to match." Willow gives her an evil glare-then smiles playfully.

"She's fine now, aren't you baby girl?" She kisses her gently on the head. "It's okay Annie shhhh."

"Think she's hungry too?" Asks the young Slayer.

"I think she's missing her sister." The nurse brings the other baby back to them and Kennedy lays her next to Andrea. The baby stops crying and Willow smiles. "See mom knows these things."

Kennedy leans down and kisses Willow's lips. "I can't believe they're finally here." Willow puts them into her Slayer's arms. "Hey babies-Mama's glad you're here." She kisses each one on the head as the tears fall. Willow rubs her back and begins to cry too.

Later, Willow and the babies are settled in their room. The young couple are laying side by side in the bed. Each is holding a baby who is sleeping peacefully. Willow laces her fingers with Kennedy's and smiles. "Happy?"

"They haven't made a word to describe the way I feel Red." They kiss softly careful not to wake up their daughters. They look toward the door and smile as the gang files in to see the newest members of the Scooby Gang.
