Summary: Life continues after Sunnydale is gone..
Chapter 6 | Chapter 7 | Chapter 8 | Chapter 9 | Chapter 10
Afterlife/Lifeafter
They had averted another apocalypse. Destroyed the Hellmouth. Sunnydale was a hole in the ground but it had not come without a price. Many were lost- Anya, Amanda and countless other nameless Slayers had given their lives for the cause. Those who had escaped were trying to process the events and deal in their own way.
Giles was at the wheel, driving them as they journeyed into the unknown. Their plan, find a hospital and a place to stay. As he drove his mind drifted- what would have happened if his plan to kill Spike had been successful? Where would they be now? How many more lives would have been lost? He looked in the mirror at the new Slayers behind him. He would have to learn to trust them-to teach them and then believe in their abilities. In essence, he must learn to trust himself-something that he hadn't truly done since the mistakes made in his Ripper days. That would have to change.
Behind him, the first few rows were filled with quietly talking newbies, Slayers, unable to sleep from the excitement of the day. They were the Chosen, they would protect the world together, and most of them were not even old enough to drive. They were children.
Andrew was watching them. He sat quietly, sullen-then he smiled and reached under the seat for his video camera. He began filming them. He decided this should definitely be remembered.
Xander stared out the window into the darkness as his mind continued to play back his life with Anya. He had loved her and he would miss her. He had lost much in this battle with the ultimate evil-his love, his eye, but he had gained much more. After years of feeling inferior he now had a place in the Scooby gang- a valuable and respectable place. He was their vision.
Faith was sitting in the seat a few rows behind him. Out of the line of fire for now. She was holding Robin-careful of his wounds. The bleeding had finally stopped and he was sleeping, though somewhat restlessly. She kisses him on the side of the head and whispers softly- "Stay with me-we've got a score to settle."
Robin spoke weakly, "You bet we do-" She was surprised by his words and she couldn't stop the smile from forming on her face.
Buffy was in the seat behind them on the other side of the bus. Dawn, beside her, her head on Buffy's shoulder as she slept. She looked down at her sister- and tightens her hold on her. The young girl had been through so much, lost so many people in her life. Would she be able to give her a more normal life now? She would try. Buffy looked out the window-her mind racing in so many different directions-Spike-her life-she actually had one thanks to him. They all did-including him-he had found redemption at last. And Angel-he had been there too when she needed him. She hoped he understood the cookie analogy- hoped now she could find out who she was to become. She wanted that more than anything.
In the back seat of the bus was Willow and Kennedy. Willow was wrapped tightly in the new Slayers arms. Her eyes closed sleeping from the draining effects of the spell. Kennedy watched her sleep-
As the redhead slept in the arms of her Slayer, she became restless. Kennedy pulled her closer and softly stroked her arm. "It's okay Will, I'm here."
Kennedy may have been there, but the witch was far away. Her mind dreamed of a different place and time. The night sky was lit with millions of stars as she lay in the arms of her love. The blonde kissed her softly on the cheek and then spoke. Her voice was barely a whisper- like a summer breeze.
"I have to go."
Willow turned in her arms. "No-I can't lose you again."
"You never lost me sweetie; I'll always be here. -" She touches Willow's head and then her heart with her hand.
Willow loses the battle to tears and they fall in streams down her cheeks. "I miss you."
"I know-let her help you. Let her love you. -Love her."
"But baby, I love you-always."
"You can love us both." Her voice is calm and strong-she tries to reassure her redhead. She kisses her on the forehead. "Be strong."
The night begins to get darker. Almost as if the stars are being extinguished one by one-a result of her distress. "Tara no-don't go-" she pleads. "I need you baby." Tara disappears. "No-Tara!" She screams. Willow wakes with a start her face wet with tears. She wipes her eyes and then comes eye to eye with the new Slayer. She realizes what has happened and that Kennedy knew too. "Kennedy-" She takes her hand and holds it. "I'm sorry." Her tears fall harder.
Kennedy holds her tighter and tries to soothe both her tears and her worries. "It's okay-I know what she means to you."
"I can't do this-"
"Do what?-Talk to me."
"I can't-everything's gone-" She stops as her internal babble gets too loud to focus. She shakes her head and starts again. "Everything that I had of her-the pictures, the letters-God even her grave." Kennedy wipes the redhead's tears and gently strokes her hair. Willow closes her eyes, holding Kennedy tighter. "I'm afraid-what if I forget her?"
"I won't let that happen." Kennedy kisses her forehead.
"Promise?"
"Promise. It's been a long day Will, the spell was intense. You need to sleep."
"So do you." She touches Kennedy's face with her hand.
Kennedy leans into the touch. "It must be a Slayer thing-I'm wired. So, I think I'll just watch you." She smiles as Willow blushes slightly. "What?-It's much better than sleep." Kennedy smiles and leans forward. Their lips meet in a chaste kiss. "I'll be here when you wake up. Now close your eyes.
"Kennedy-" Willow looks concerned. "I think-"
"You-" she strokes the witch's cheek and kisses her. She continues as she pulls out of the kiss. "You think too much." She states matter of factly.
"Sometimes, my mind won't-it's busy in there."
Kennedy nods and touches her forehead with a soft kiss. "Anything I can do to make it not so busy?" "Not here-" she pauses then continues. "It's a little crowded." She smiles shyly as she shifts to look around the bus. "
The brunette pulls her back down and onto her lap. She slides her fingers just under Willow's shirt and begins to play with the bare skin of her stomach. Willow bites her lip and takes a deep breath. She let's it out slowly as her arms encircle the young woman. "That help?"
The redhead nods slightly. "But we can't-"
"If you're quiet-" She smiles. Her hand is joined by the other as she continues to caress Willow's body.
Willow's eyes close and she moves closer to the Slayer-eliminating the space between them. "Goddess-" She moans softly as she forces her eyes open. She touches Kennedy's face. "Kennedy-We've only-the one time I mean but incase you didn't notice. Not something I'm quiet at."
Willowbabble smiles the young Slayer. I love WIllowbabble; it's so cute. Now it is her mind that is overrun with thoughts. I've never felt this way about anyone. What is it about her that makes me love her? - Woo-did I just say love? -Or think it? Is this love? She returns her attention to the witch as she feels her lips on her neck and her hands slip under her shirt. Her eyes meet the green of the Goddess who had changed her-made her a Slayer finally after all the years of waiting and they both lick their lips. They lean in and their lips meet. The kiss starts soft and sensual. They stay that way unmoving until the redhead begins to open and close her lips against the young Slayers. Kennedy does the same and the kiss escalates quickly. Willow moans slightly as Kennedy slides her tongue against hers. Before either realizes it hands undo belts and buttons-as a hand finds it's way into Kennedy's pants they hear a voice a few feet away. They both freeze as the words register. Then they break the kiss.
"You guys okay back here?" Asks Faith as she smiles in front of them. The two look at each other and then the dark Slayer. "Thought I heard something-"
"No-" says Kennedy finding her voice. "Everything's cool."
Faith smiles knowingly- then says as she walks away. "Slaying-always makes you hungry and horny."
Willow blushes and leans her head against Kennedy's. They both giggle softly. "Everything's cool?" Questions the redhead. "You're cool?" She moves her hand slightly and Kennedy bites her lip to stifle a moan. The witch smiles.
"No-now that you mention it, it's getting a little hot. Don't you think?" She moves her fingers against the redhead.
"Goddess-" she moans a little louder than she should have. Xander coughs and Willow's eyes open in fear.
Kennedy's hand doesn't stop-Willow looks at her unsure-the Slayer speaks. "Want to stop?"
"Hmmm-ah- no."
"Willow-" she hears Buffy call her name.
"Yeah-" Kennedy stills her hand almost in a panic.
"Need the two of you up here."
Willow looks at Kennedy and then toward the blonde Slayer. "Ah-sure." She and Kennedy slowly remove their hands and rebutton clothes. "I'm sorry-"
"Not your fault-" smiles the new Slayer. "We'll finish later." Willow smiles and they stand hand-in hand and walk to the front of the bus. Buffy and Faith both smile at them. "What?" Kennedy is defensive.
Buffy looks at Willow her cheeks are still flushed. "Sorry-about-"
Willow speaks shyly. "It's okay-is there a problem?"
"I just thought we should decide what's next."
"Already decided-" says the young Slayer. Willow smiles at her.
Faith smiles too-"So I'm guessing the two of you vote for finding a hotel?"
"And soon." Says the redhead. They all smile
Confession/Concession
Willow was again asleep, her head resting on Kennedy's lap. The young Slayer was watching her just like she said. The bus stops and Kennedy looks out a window. She smiles as she sees the hotel sign. Carefully she lifts the witch's head and moves from under her. Standing, she lowers the girl softly to her rolled up jacket. She kisses her on the cheek and walks to the front of the bus. Buffy, Xander, Giles, and Faith are there.
"So," says Buffy as she begins to count. "We'll need six-seven rooms?"
Giles speaks, "Make it seven, I for one want a single."
"I'll get eight just to be safe," says Kennedy.
Buffy nods and Xander looks at the younger girl. "Mind if I tag along?"
"Nope-" they walk toward the hotel lobby.
Buffy looks at the back of the bus and sees Willow slowly sit up. She goes back and sits beside her.
Willow stretches and her eyes focus on the Slayer-"Where's Kennedy? Is something wrong?"
"No-she went to get the rooms. You feeling okay?" Asks the blonde concerned for her friend. "No black roots?" She smiles playfully as she messes up the redhead's hair.
Willow smiles- "No Big Bad Willow here. I feel so at peace-it was amazing."
"So all's with the good?"
"Mostly."
"Wanna talk?"
"Yeah-"
Inside the hotel Kennedy and Xander are waiting for room keys. Kennedy who is still a little wired is pacing. Xander touches her arm and she stops. He smiles and she looks at him unsure.
"Stop smiling at me like that."
"Like what?" Now confused.
"Like you want to borrow Andrew's camera-that's how." She is suddenly defensive.
"Not a bad idea. " He smiles and she slaps at him. He moves just in time. "Hey careful-new Slayer strength. Remember? You could hurt a guy." He pauses and makes eye contact. "Or a girl." She is surprised by his words.
"Not planning to-seen enough people hurt." She is quiet and Xander sees something in her eyes that she tries to hide but can't. He smiles again and touches the young woman's arm.
"Does she know?"
"Know what?" Kennedy tries to play it off but Xander continues.
"Does she know how you feel?"
"Haven't talked about it-I figure she's not ready to hear it yet."
"But you do?"
"Love her?" Xander nods and so does she. "Yeah, I do." She takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly. She smiles. "I've never said it out loud before. Feels good."
"She loves you too."
Kennedy shakes her head. "No she doesn't-but it's okay."
"Can I ask a question?"
"Suddenly you need permission?"
"Well it's a little personal and I don't want to piss off a Slayer. That never ends up good." He smiles slightly. She looks at him and nods. "Have the two of you-I mean-you know, had sex?"
"God Xander would you just get over the girl on girl action?" He doesn't say anything. They stand in silence. She again nods. "Yeah- a couple of days ago."
He smiles-"Rest my case."
"Huh?- and again huh?"
"If she had sex with you, she loves you."
"You're wrong-it doesn't mean-I've had sex with- you've had-"
He smiles and stops her, "Willowbabble without Willow that's new-cool-but new."
"Just because-we've all had sex with people we didn't-"
"Willow hasn't-"
She looks at him a little shaken and then slowly a smile crosses her face. "She loves me?"
Xander nods-"She may not be ready to say it-or hear it, but she does. Don't give up on her."
"I'll be right here." They both smile. "Thanks-"
"Anytime, I mean if you need to talk or just want to talk about anything." He smiles and puts an arm around her. "I still have two ears."
She laughs and swats at him. "Xander-that was just bad -bad." She is quiet-and without realizing it a smile covers her face. "She really loves me. Can you believe it?"
"Yeah, what's not to love?-Well except you have a little attitude and you're kinda spoiled- " She glares at him. "Shutting up now."
She hugs him.
Concession/Confession
Willow and Buffy are still sitting in the back of the bus. Willow is on the verge of tears. Her bottom lip quivers as she tries to stay composed. "I just can't believe the whole town is gone-"
"I know- everything. My home, my mom-" Unshed tears fill Buffy's eyes but don't fall. "It doesn't seem real."
"But it is-isn't it?" Buffy nods. Willow loses the battle and the tears fall. Buffy hugs her tightly her hand rubbing her best friend's back. "But we'll be okay-?" Asks Willow, her voice sounding small and frail.
"We will." She holds Willow at arms length and looks her in the eyes. "We will."
The witch wipes the tears away. "Can't let Kennedy see me like this-she worries."
"I know-she loves you Willow." Buffy smiles.
"She cares about me- true-but loves?-A little strong I think."
"She loves you."
"She's never said- she doesn't-no-it's just-"
Buffy looks at Willow and takes her hands. "You don't have to take my word for it; just look in hers eyes when she doesn't know you're looking. It's right there."
"Maybe-"
"Do you love her?"
The redhead looks a little scared. "It's just everyone I love leaves."
"She's not going anywhere Will-"
"That's what she said."
"So are you freaked out about-" Buffy doesn't finish the sentence afraid of bringing back hurtful memories.
"Loving someone not Tara?" The witch asks. The surprised Slayer nods. "Sometimes. In the beginning-all the time. It's hard. I feel like I'm cheating on Tara-on both of them. I promised her always Buffy. Always."
"She'd want you to be happy."
"I know- but sometimes I feel guilty being happy without her. Is it wrong?"
"I think life's too short to be sad-if you don't have to be."
"Kennedy, she makes me happy." Willow takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly. "I wish- I wish I knew what to do."
"Your heart knows what to do-your head just gets in the way." Willow closes her eyes. Buffy notices Xander and Kennedy walking back to the bus. "There's your Slayer." She smiles. Willow opens her eyes and forces a smile.
"Think she'll know I was with the tears?"
"Yep-she'll know- cause she knows you." Buffy meets them at the front of the bus. "Rooms for all I hope-with lots of hot water?"
Xander holds up keys and everyone but Kennedy and Willow surround him. Kennedy walks to the witch and stands in front of her. "You okay?"
Willow nods, "I am now." She takes the new Slayer's hand.
"You're been thinking again. What am I going to do with you?"
Willow smiles seductively. "I thought we covered that." Kennedy smiles and pulls the redhead to her feet. She hugs her tightly.
"I guess we did at that." She kisses her softly. "Come on-" They walk hand-in-hand to the door.
Willow and Kennedy stand in the middle of the room looking at the bed. They smile at each other as they slip off their shoes at the same time. Kennedy pulls her closer and kisses her lips and then her neck. Willow moans softly as her spine tingles at her Slayer's touch. "Feels so good." Whispers the redhead who moans louder as she feels the metal of the tongue ring on her skin. Her head falls to the side giving Kennedy better access to her lover.
She backs the witch toward the bed but stops her assault on Willow's neck to look into her eyes. "So, what ya thinking?"
"Thinking?- Who can think?" Her hands slide under the Slayer's shirt and she teases the bare skin there with light touches. Kennedy moans and then turns so she can sit on the bed. She pulls Willow onto her lap. Her arms slide around the witch's waist, while the witch's hands continue their exploration.
"I want you Will-"
"That works out well then-cause I want you."
Their eyes meet and Willow sees what Buffy saw, before Kennedy can put up her shield. She smiles- the young woman looks unsure. "What is it?"
"Something Buffy said-we can talk about it later. After-"
Kennedy smiles, "It could be really late after-"
"I hope so-" She leans in and captures the woman's lips. She starts playfully but it quickly becomes passionate. Their lips open and close against each other's. A moan from the witch and Kennedy slides her tongue inside to battle Willow's. "Goddess-" gasps the redhead as they break apart for air.
"Yes you are." Says the new Slayer also needing more air. Her hands move to the hem of Willow's shirt and she slowly pulls it up and over her head. She smiles and tosses it across the room. Next to go is the redhead's bra.
Willow reaches for the young Slayer's shirt but the brunette stops her. The redhead looks at her confused. "What's wr-wrong?"
"Nothing-I just wanna- let me okay?" She nods and bites her bottom lip as Kennedy takes off her own shirt. Willow reaches out, her fingers grazing the cuts and bruises on the Slayers dark skin. Concern fills the witch's eyes but Kennedy takes her hand. "I'm fine-Slayer healing; it'll be gone by morning."
Willow's voice trembles as she speaks no louder than a whisper, "I could have lost you too."
The young woman caresses her cheek and kisses her forehead softly. "I'm right here-okay?" The redhead nods but the tears still spill out. "Shhh-Red- don't cry. Shhh." She kisses her chastely her lips pressed firmly against her love, unmoving. Willow breaks the kiss and leans her forehead against Kennedy's. "Okay?" Her eyes search Willow's eyes for the truth.
The woman nods as she takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. Kennedy turns and lowers the woman to the bed and stands. She begins to unbutton her own pants as the witch watches. Willow swallows hard and reaches out to touch the Slayer but she is just out of reach. She slides them off and crawls onto the bed beside the redhead. She unfastens each button on Willow's pants her eyes never leaving her girl. Willow's hands reach for Kennedy and this time are able to touch her. She strokes Kennedy's hair and then her cheek. Her pants are tossed on the floor with the rest.
They lay together Willow on her back and Kennedy on her side next to her. Her fingers playing with the exposed skin of the redhead's tummy.
Willow gasps slightly and bites her lip. "Ready for a nap?" Teases the redhead.
Kennedy plays along. "Sounds good. Just let me do this one thing and then-" She stops as she lowers her head to the woman and kisses a path down her neck, her chest, and finally her flat stomach. She licks it softly making sure her tongue ring finds her bellybutton.
"Ken-Kennedy!" Willow calls out as the new Slayer continues her path downward. Her hands find the waistband of her panties and she slides them off.
She kisses her way back up the redhead's body. She kisses ankles, calves, and knees. She listens and smiles as Willow moans lost in her touch. Her lips press softly on the inside of Willow's thigh and she feels Willow's hand tangle in her hair. She crawls up the witch's body and rests her chin on her tummy. Their eyes meet-Kennedy smiles at the girl's labored breathing. "Tell what you want-" says the Slayer softly.
The redhead caresses Kennedy's shoulder and then her cheek. "You know-"
Kennedy looks unsure- "I thought I did, but now-I'm not sure."
Dare/Truth
"Not sure-how can you not know?" Asks the redhead confused.
"It's just-" She shakes her head. "It's nothing." She leans in to kiss the witch but Willow's hand on her shoulder stops her.
"Kennedy-"
That was the last word she heard. Willow's words were drowned out by her mind-it's Kennedybabble. What had she done? What was she thinking? I was thinking I love her and I want to know if she loves me. Does that answer your question? - Do I dare tell her how I feel? Will it scare her? Is it too soon for her? Questions with no answers. I'm gonna mess this up.
"Kennedy? Did you hear a word I said?"
"Truthfully-no-I was having a discussion with myself." A slight smile crosses her face as she realizes the shy redhead has crawled under the covers. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"What's going on?"
"Xander said something earlier and it got me thinking."
"I thought thinking was a no-no tonight."
"So did I but- here I am in bed with a beautiful woman and-" Kennedy frustrated, "Grrrr-here goes, this is what I know." She laces her fingers with the redhead's. Their eyes meet. "When I met you it was like wow! She's hot-I gotta get with her. And then after we talked and I got to know you it was wow! She's something- I could like this woman. But now after everything you've done, we've done-"
Willow interrupts her; "You don't feel the same?"
"Not the same no-"
"So you're saying we're-are you leaving me?" Tears fill the redheads eyes-fear grips her heart.
"Leaving? No! - so not- Willow I've never felt this way about anyone and I can't-I have to tell you. I know you might not be ready-and if you're not okay, but you have to know."
"Know what?"
Kennedy fidgets slightly nervous. "I've ah-never, to anyone before-Willow I love you."
Willow is speechless-slowly a smile crosses her face. She brushes away a tear as she bites her bottom lip. "Yeah?"
"Oh yeah-are you okay, is it okay?"
"More than okay." She leans forward and kisses Kennedy. She looks into her eyes. "Kenn-I- "
"It's okay-no hurry, when you're ready it'll happen."
"Hold me?" Kennedy nods and crawls under the cover with her witch. She spoons against her and holds her protectively. She kisses her on the shoulder. "Kennedy you've never said-really?"
"You're my first." Willow snuggles closer and wraps her arms around Kennedy's. Kennedy smiles her mind racing- See; sometimes you just have to dare. Take a chance-tell people how you feel.
Later Willow's breathing has evened out and Kennedy can tell she's asleep. She whispers softly. "I love you Willow."
Truth/Dare
Willow sat at the window wrapped in a sheet. She watched the sunrise and a soft smile spread across her face. A new day-what did it hold? How could it possibly measure up to the one before? They had saved the world, she had awakened thousands of new Slayers, and Kennedy had told her she loved her. The words intense or mind blowing didn't start to cover it-Willow Rosenberg; scholar, the queen of all babble was at a loss for words to describe it.
She had been awake for hours-her busy mind refusing to stop. She spent the first hour just watching her Slayer sleep. Watching her chest rise and fall in a rhythm that matched her own. Thinking about the day they met, the young woman's straight forwardness. It had scared her, but also excited her. Then came their first kiss and all of its consequences. She had almost lost her that day. Lost her like Tara, because of Warren and her guilt, but the young Slayer had saved her-saved them.
The next hour had been spent thinking about Tara and their life together. They had an immediate connection that she had never had with anyone before or since-it was unique, special and it was gone. Their time had been short but so full. Tara had taught her so much about herself- and she had grown in so many ways.
She was confused about her feelings but two things she knew- one; she would always love Tara and two; she loved Kennedy too. How can you love two people who are so different? Hell if she knew, but she did. Her decision? -To talk to the young Slayer as soon as she was awake.
Thirty minutes later and Kennedy was still asleep. Willow was getting both impatient and nervous. She stood and slowly walked back to the bed. She crawled in silently and lay her head on the young woman's chest. There she waited and waited. Before long the steady beating of her Slayer's heart caused the witch to fall asleep.
Kennedy's eyes opened slowly, she started to stretch but stopped as she realized a weight rested on her chest. She focused her eyes and then smiled as she saw Willow. The woman looked so at peace. Kennedy softly, slowly caressed her arm, then her shoulder, and finally her back. Willow moved against her. She stretched and opened her eyes. She looked up and saw Kennedy looking back at her. "Morning." Smiles Willow as she stretched again and wrapped her arms around the woman.
"Morning-sleep okay?"
"Not so much, been thinking." She turns on her side and puts her head next to Kennedy's.
"Did I freak you out? -Cause I didn't mean to."
"No, just trying to sort things out." She bites her lip and touches Kennedy's cheek. "This is what I figured out. Tara-" she pauses fighting tears. "Tara will always be apart of me."
"I get that-I do." She touches Willow's face with her hand, brushing away a tear.
"Good, cause no matter what-She's my always." Kennedy nods. "But she would want me to be happy and you-you make happy. I never thought I could be again." Again the tears fall but this time Kennedy cries too. "I love you." A smile breaks through the still falling tears.
Kennedy speaks surprised her voice barely a whisper, "Yeah?"
"Yeah." She leans forward and kisses her lips. The kiss is slow and sensual. Willow slides a hand across Kennedy's body and the Slayer turns onto her back. Willow moves so that she is resting part on part off the woman. They deepen the kiss as lips open and close against lips, then as Kennedy moans; Willow pushes her tongue into her mouth. They battle first in the young Slayer's mouth and then in the witch's. Tongues exploring and caressing. Hands begin to roam bodies, followed by mouths. Willow's lips kiss the exposed skin on Kennedy's neck, then her collarbone. She continues to move down her body, she licks playfully just under Kennedy's left breast and then stops to smile as she hears a moan.
"Goddess Will- stop playing."
"But I like-" She repeats the action. She looks into the desire darkened eyes of her lover. She blushes slightly.
Kennedy tries to slow her breathing, "Do it again Red and I swear-" she gasps, her words are stopped short as the redhead wraps her lips around her already sensitive nipple. She moans loudly, her body writhing under the witch.
Willow pulls back and smiles, "You were saying?" Her hand copies the action of her mouth as she caresses her.
"Do it again and I'll-"
"You'll do what?" The witch smiles.
"I just dare you. -The repercussions will be-"
With a smile and a soft chuckle, Willow dares!
Actions/Consequences
Willow let's out a shocked yelp as Kennedy quickly reverses their positions. She smiles into the face of the redhead who is now pinned under her. I think I'm going to like this Slayer strength. She thinks before she addresses her lover. "You were warned- actions have consequences." She whispers softly into the girl's ear. "Now, let's see how you like it."
She kisses Willow's cheek and then along a soft path starting at the witch's ear, down her neck and stopping at her collarbone. Her hands caress the body beneath her and there is a soft moan. She smiles. She continues down the redhead and smiles mischievously as she licks her on the underside of her left breast.
"Kenn-feels so good-don't stop." The young Slayer smiles, and then continues to tease. She repeats the action on the other side. Willow tries to lean into more contact but Kennedy pulls away. She kisses down her stomach and teases her bellybutton with her tongue ring.
Willow writhes beneath her she tries to push the Slayer lower but can't. She continues to torment the witch. "Please just-please." Her eyes open and meet the brown of her Slayer. "Please baby?" She bites her bottom lip. "I need-"
"What?" She smiles. "You need this?" She teases as she kisses just below her bellybutton. "Or maybe this?" She smiles as she runs her hand down her redhead's thigh and then back up. She leaves it resting just inches from where the witch wants it.
Willow's breathing is now choppy and fast as Kennedy again teases her with her lips and tongue on the stomach. Willow moans loudly. "Goddess- I'll get you for this-promise." She manages to say in gasps as she tries to breathe. "You-you wait."
Kennedy smiles and kisses back up her body slowly. Torturing the witch. She reaches her lips and kisses her softly. She pulls back and is still smiling. "You say you want to wait?"
Willow's eyes open immediately. "No!-That's not what I said."
"I heard wait. You said- 'You wait.'"
"Yes-I mean no-I said you wait, but that's not what I meant."
"So you don't want to wait?"
"God no-now is good." Willow blushes slightly.
Kennedy smiles- "Glad we cleared that up. So-no waiting?"
"Right-" She leans into Kennedy and kisses her passionately. "Just with the loving-"
"No foreplay?" The young Slayer questions. Willow looks at her unsure. "I thought foreplay was your favorite?"
"It's nice but not always necessary."
"Like now?"
"No more playing-"
"No playing." Willow gasps and then moans as she feels Kennedy enter her. "Better?" Willow bites her bottom lip and nods as Kennedy sets a steady rhythm. Her fingers move in and out slowly as the young Slayer kisses her lips and then her neck.
The redhead moans her Slayer's name, lost in the sensations of her touch. She tries to form words but can't-her mind tries to focus and with difficulty finally does. Her last thought before her emotions totally took control was simple. - Payback's hell!
Consequences/Actions
The redhead is trying to slow her breathing. Her body is still trembling as she lies in the arms of her Slayer. The brunette smiles at her as her fingers make small circles against the bare stomach of her witch. Willow closes her eyes and tries to compose herself but is having little luck. She bites her bottom lip and forces out words though they are choppy and barely audible. - "W-wait-I need a minute."
Kennedy's hand stills and she kisses Willow's cheek softly. "What ever you say." She whispers in the girl's ear and kisses just below it. Willow moans and the Slayer smiles knowingly.
They are quiet, unmoving then suddenly Kennedy begins to caress Willow's stomach and leaves a trail of soft wet kisses from her ear to her collarbone. The witch arches against her. Kennedy pulls away long enough to speak. "Minute's up." She returns her lips to Willow's skin.
"Goddess-" cries the witch as Kennedy's lips and fingers find their destination at the same time. She runs her hands through Kennedy's hair, and then down her shoulders and back as far as she can reach, but her hands fall away as the slayer moves down her body. Her hands grab on to the sheets as lips and tongue join Kennedy's fingers. She screams Kennedy's name as she falls. Her body shaking uncontrollably, the Slayer continues until the trembling stops and she pulls Willow against her body tightly. Willow fights to breathe as tears fall. She finds Kennedy's lips and kisses her. "Th-that was-wow-" She smiles as she forces her eyes open and pulls out of the kiss. "I've nev-never-not that many t-times. The Slayer smiles, as the redhead blushes. "Again-wow." She snuggles closer, now lying partially on Kennedy. The young Slayer wraps her arms around her tighter. Willow's eyes close, but she forces them open. She begins to kiss her Slayer's neck-they are soft and slow then almost nonexistent. Willow's eyes close again.
"Sleep-we'll finish this later."
Willow looks into her eyes and shyly speaks- "But you haven't-" her hand trails slowly, lightly down Kennedy's body. The new Slayer let's out a small gasp as the witch runs her nails against her bare stomach. "You need-" she bites her bottom lip. She eases her fingers to Kennedy's center. She teases for a few agonizing seconds as the girl arches against her hand.
"Please-" whisper the brunette.
Without words, she slides two fingers inside and is rewarded with a loud moan. As she continues to please her Slayer, she smiles as a thought enters her mind- 'Actions speak louder than words.' Her mouth joins her fingers.
A short while later as the Kennedy explodes, she screams-"W-w-will-ooow!"
That theory was shot to hell!
Heads
Willow wakes with her head resting on her Slayer's bare stomach. She places a gentle kiss there, careful not to wake her. She stretches and moves to snuggle into her girl's shoulder. A smile spreads across her face as she watches her sleep. She speaks, her voice barely a whisper, "I love you-but I'm scared-" her words stop but her always active mind continues to race. 'I don't know how to do this. What if something happens to you too? I couldn't handle- goddess. I don't know what to do. Maybe it would be better to end it now? No-please don't let me push her away.' Willow's inner babble continues, she doesn't realize Kennedy is watching her-seeing the anguish on her face.
Now, the questioning in Kennedy's head starts. 'Is she thinking about Tara-wishing I was her. Is she regretting the things we said? Maybe she doesn't love me. -Maybe she never will. I was wrong there isn't room for both of us in her heart. Kennedy's inner turmoil is halted as she feels Willow pull her closer. Out of the corner of her eye she sees the redhead force a smile. The new Slayer closes her eyes not wanting to talk just yet.
Willow presses a soft kiss to her temple. "I can do this-we can do this." She kisses her again, and then the witch carefully gets out of bed trying not to disturb the sleeping Slayer.
Kennedy opens one eye to watch her naked form, but lays still hoping Willow doesn't realize she was awake the whole time. As the bathroom door closes and the water comes on the new Slayer lets out a concerned sigh. "You're right, we can to this together." She gets out of bed and begins to gather her clothes.
Kennedy is at the lobby coffee shop as Buffy walks over to her. "Hey- finally decide to leave the room?" She smiles playfully.
"Red's in the shower, I thought I'd surprise her. Did we miss anything major?"
"Nope- just a shopping spree, I'd much rather have been with you guys." Kennedy looks at her unsure and Buffy realizes what she said- "So not what I meant!" Her face is redder than Willow's hair.
"Good to know." She smiles at the Slayer. "Can I ask you something? About Will I mean she-"
"She loves you-why with the worry?"
"She thinks too much-what if her head talks her out of it? I don't know how to help her. I want her to know I'm not going anywhere."
"That's a promise you can't make. You may leave her and not by choice like Tara. Being the Slayer-a Slayer, makes you in danger."
"But the Hellmouth is closed."
"But the danger is still there. Losing Tara like she did-Just talk to her-make sure she talks to you. Don't let her think."
"Yeah- thanks."
Buffy hands her two bags and Kennedy looks unsure. "New clothes-if you hate them blame Dawn." They both smile.
As the redhead comes out of the shower wrapped in a towel, she smiles at Kennedy who is sitting in front of the window. On the table beside her she sees bagels, mochas, and a bag which she's not sure about. She walks over to her.
"Ummm - caffeiney goodness." She reaches for the cup and Kennedy smiles.
"Thought you might need a snack."
She kisses the Slayer softly on the lips. As she pulls away she answers, "You'd be right." She takes a bite of the bagel and a drink. "What's in the bags?"
"Clean clothes-the others went shopping while we were- " she simply smiles. Willow blushes slightly. Kennedy smiles- "Why are you blushing?"
Willow shakes her head, "No reason, just-they know we were-" She rolls her eyes. "Never mind."
"I'm pretty sure the whole floor knows what we were doing Red." Kennedy touches her shoulder.
Willow looks away and nods-then looks back at the young woman. "Yeah-" she shivers as Kennedy caresses her arm.
"I thought we could go for a walk later-talk?"
"Okay-but why not now?"
"Got other plans for now." She pulls the witch onto her lap and Willow wraps her legs around the Slayers waist. "Try to keep it quiet." She smiles.
"Not a chance." Whispers the witch as Kennedy leans in and captures her lips in a slow sensual kiss. She moans as the towel falls to the floor and the Slayer's hands caress her body.
Hours later, both women are finally showered and dressed. Kennedy smiles. "Look at you-clothes and everything." She kisses her lips.
"Don't get use to them. I plan on taking them off of you soon." She smiles then blushes a little as she walks to the dresser to pick up her watch.
Kennedy goes to the window to look out. "The others are at the pool-Buffy, Xander-"
Before she can finish, Willow tackles her and they fall to the floor. Kennedy smiles at first- "I thought the clothes were coming off after-" She stops as she sees the fear in the witch's face. "Red, what's wrong?"
Willow fights tears, but loses completely as they stream down her face. Kennedy wraps her in a tight hug-and kisses her hair. "Don't leave me-"
"Shhh-I won't. Shhhh." They sit in silence for what seems like hours. Willow crying and Kennedy comforting her. As the sobs start to settle, Kennedy places a kiss on her forehead. "Want to talk?"
"I just-I'm fine-just can we not? Later okay?"
"Okay." She stands and holds out her hand. The witch takes it and stands. She hugs the young Slayer-resting her head on her shoulder. "Still want to meet the gang?"
"Yeah-" They stand unmoving. Inner Willowbabble starts again. ' Goddess, what am I doing? Who am I kidding? I have to end this before-'
"Will-what's going on in that head of yours?" Asks the woman as she places another kiss on her forehead.
"Nothing," lies the witch. "Nothing, let's go." She walks toward the door and out.
Kennedy doesn't move. "This isn't going to happen."
Inside/Out
Kennedy follows Willow from the room. She catches up with her just as she reaches the elevator. She stands quietly beside her as they wait for the doors to open. When they do, both step inside. Still not speaking, the young Slayer slips her hand in Willow's. The redhead looks down at the laced fingers then up into the eyes of the young woman. Kennedy squeezes her hand- "We don't have to talk, but don't runaway-okay?" Willow nods and closes her eyes. She takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly as she opens them again. They step into the lobby hand in hand.
Outside by the pool, they find the Scoobies and new Slayers along with Giles and Andrew. They join them, each taking an empty seat. "Nice you could join us." Smiles Dawn. Kennedy shoots her a playful dirty look.
As the group talks and laughs, Xander watches his childhood friend. Even with one eye he can see that something isn't right. "Will-" She doesn't answer him, she's off in her mind as it continues to question and confuse her heart. He looks at a concerned Kennedy and speaks again. "Willster-" She looks at him. "Want to help me get some drinks?"
"Ah sure." They stand and walk away. Kennedy watches them out of sight.
Buffy looks at the young Slayer as their eyes meet; the girl shakes her head slowly. Buffy looks toward Xander and Willow.
On the other side of the pool Xander takes Willow's hand. She looks up at him and the tears start to fall. "What happened?"
She blows out air as she tries to compose herself. "I can't do this. It's too hard, too scary. Do you know what happened before we came down here?"
He smiles playfully, "I could guess." He raises his eyebrow suggestively. She smacks at him. "You mean after that.
"I freaked she was standing in front of the window and I tackled her-she saw you with Buffy, like-like Tara did and all I could see was her- her lying on the floor and the blood-" The redhead breaks down and Xander puts his arms around her.
"She loves you Willow." The tears are unending. "Together you can deal with everything. All the bad memories and the scary dreams-and-"
She interrupts him. She gets the tears to slow so she can talk, "Don't you see it isn't fair, she deserves so much more than me and all of my baggage."
"She gets to make that decision; you can't make it for her. Talk about not fair my friend." He kisses her forehead and wipes her tears. "Want to know what I think?"
She forces a smile, "Don't think I get a choice do I ?"
Xander smiles, "Not so much, no." She takes his hand and they walk. "You should spend the rest of the day talking-really talking about what you feel and why?"
"Actually she wanted to talk after dinner but that was before freako girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?" He smiles-
"Yeah-my head can be pretty stupid sometimes, but my heart knows."
"So quit being a stupid head!"
"Only you could call me that and not get so in trouble."
"Right like you could do anything-"
"Witch here-"
"Good witch-I heard the 'all white and glowy' story more times than I can count. Not scary anymore."
"Dating a Slayer?"
"Now that's scary." They both smile and she kisses his cheek. They look toward the others; Kennedy is nervously chewing on her fingers. "Someone is worried."
Nervously, "I hope you're right."
"Have I ever steered you wrong?"
"Yeah-lots of times-long list." She stops and lets go of his hand. "But not in a really long time."
She walks back toward Kennedy. The worried Slayer stands and meets her half way. "You okay?"
"No-what do you say we take that walk and I'll tell you all about it?"
Kennedy takes her hand and leans in to kiss her softly. As she pulls back she speaks, "I'd say that's a plan."
After lots of walking and not so much talking, they come to a clearing in the park. They sit facing each other under a tree by a little pond. Kennedy leans in and kisses the redhead softly. Willow smiles. "I'm sorry," she whispers. "There's just so much I should have told you before-" She stops and starts again looking down at her hands. "I'm scared. Scared you'll leave; scared you'll stay."
"It's okay to be scared-I'm scared."
"Yeah?" Kennedy nods. "Afraid I'll go all hatchety murdery cause I won't." "No, just scared cause I'm 18 and I've never felt like this before. I've never loved anyone and I worry that I'll screw up, let you down." Tears begin to fall from her eyes. Willow reaches and wipes them away.
"Shhh-" She kisses her cheeks. "Shhh." She leans against the tree and pulls the young woman into a hug.
Later Kennedy has composed herself and is leaning against the redhead whose arms encircle her. Willow begins to talk. "Before you, I loved two people my whole life and I lost both of them. You know about Tara-I mean you know what I let you know, but I need to tell you about Oz first."
"Since you told me there was only one girl, I'm guessing Oz is a guy?"
"Yeah-we met in high school. He was great and he was in a band. We dated for almost two years."
"Was he your first?" She turns her head and looks at Willow.
The redhead blushes slightly and smiles. "Yeah-my first everything. Boyfriend, lover-first person to break my heart. Goddess-when he left I thought-I wanted to not be here."
Kennedy looks unsure. "By not be here do you mean-?" This time the witch nods. There is a strained silence, then Kennedy turns and faces the witch. She speaks, "Why did he leave?"
"Mostly- well ah Oz is a werewolf and he was afraid-"
Kennedy unsure, "He's a what huh-?" She tries again, "Did you say Oz is a werewolf? -You dated a werewolf?"
Trying for levity, "Only three nights a month-the rest of the time a normal guy." She sort of smiles. The new Slayer is quiet and Willow begins to worry. "Are you okay?"
"Ah-sure, just wasn't expecting-it's a little-what did he do when he was-I mean when he wasn't Oz?"
"Cage-in a crypt. Locked up so you know all safe."
"But he was afraid he hurt someone and he left to what?"
"Find a cure-"
"Did he?"
"Yeah-but there was Tara and he left again."
"Did she know about him?"
"She knew everything. When we met I was still pretty messed up. She helped me deal with how I felt-why I felt it. When he came back and wanted to fix things-she gave me space, time to think."
"When he came back were you and Tara together?"
"Sort of-I mean we were dating-"
"But not-" Kennedy smiles.
"But not." Willow looks a little sad. "She was so sure I'd choose him."
"Didn't she know you loved her?"
"She just knew I loved him first. She told me she understood-that I had to be with the person I loved. When I told her I was-she was surprised."
"You still love him?"
She nods, "A part of me will always love him-just like a part of me will always love her." "Is there a part left that can love me?"
"Yeah-I love you Kennedy-I just, I'm afraid that one day you'll realize that it's too hard to deal with my past-Too many ghosts in the closet."
"Who's in the closet?" The young Slayer smiles.
Willow frowns, "That was just bad-"
"Sorry-couldn't help it." Kennedy touches the redhead's face with her hand. " -Red, I'm not afraid of ghosts-I fight vampires and demons-ghosts so not a problem."
"Promise me something?"
"Anything-everything." She leans forward and kisses the witch. They pull apart and Kennedy smiles.
"If you-when things-ghosty things get too much you'll tell me?"
"Promise. -but you have to promise me something too."
"Okay-seems fair."
"When you start thinking-you bad thinking, you tell me, we know how to stop it." They both smile and Willow blushes.
"What if we're some place we can't-you know?"
"No such place-just gotta use your imagination." She smiles, raises her eyebrows and bites her bottom lip.
Willow leans forward and kisses the girl. Her heads go to her waist as she pulls her closer. She breaks the kiss and leans her forehead against her Slayer. "We should start back-be dark soon-"
"Not afraid of the dark." "Then I have an idea."
"Does it involve thinking?"
"Just a little-but lots of not thinking."
"Yeah?" Smiles Kennedy. She stands and takes Willow's hand. The witch stands and they start hand-in-hand back to the hotel.
The witch and her Slayer are on the roof of the hotel. They have finished their picnic and are lying on their stomachs just looking into each other's eyes. "This was a great idea," says Kennedy.
"Ummm", agrees Willow. "Tara loved to picnic at night." She realizes what she said. "I'm sorry."
"No- don't be sorry. It's okay I want to know about her-tell me?"
The redhead turns to her back and looks up at the stars. Kennedy does the same as her hand finds Willow's. "She loved to look at the stars."
"I bet she knew all about them-I don't, I kind of made up my own names for them."
Willow looks at the young woman and smiles- "See the big one over there?" She points to her right.
"My favorite-I call it Demon Waiting to be Slain." She smiles.
"Tara called it the Big Pineapple."
"It isn't really? -"She looks at the redhead unsure.
"No-she always said the real names didn't make sense."
"She was right-just too complicated." They are quiet, after a minute Kennedy speaks. "What are you thinking about?"
"Tara-how much she taught me about magic and myself."
"Not suppose to think-come here." She pulls Willow on top of her and they kiss softly.
Willow pulls out of the kiss and her eyes meet Kennedy's" Know what else she taught me?" She slides her leg between the new Slayer's and lightly presses it against her.
Kennedy gasps and then speaks, her voice shaky. "Show me Red." Willow's lips find Kennedy's in a scorching kiss as her hands caress her girlfriend's body. She moans softly and as she does, Willow's tongue takes advantage. The last thought that crosses Kennedy's mind is 'thank you Tara' as she gets lost in the sensations that Willow is causing within her. The witch kisses down her neck to her collarbone as her hands find their way under her top to her. She gasps again as she feels the redhead's lips on the bare skin of her stomach. "Feels so good-I love you."
Willow stops and looks up at her girlfriend, "I love you- forever okay?"
"Definitely okay." Willow's lips return to her skin. Kennedy's eyes close as she arches into the touch.
