Pairing: Willow/Faith
Summary: Willow and Faith agreed; No Valentine's presents. Can they both keep the promise?
Sunnydale... Well, now a big hole in the ground but the strange occurrences that the Scoobies sometimes experienced there follows them no matter where they go.Buffy sits on a mat in the training room, the last group of trainees just dismissed for the day. Faith flops down beside her and tosses her a bottled water as she opens the cap on her own. "Thanks," says the blonde. They just can't seem to find any piece of the normal. Buffy... well, you guessed it- still falling for the fangy types. Xander, the demony types and who can even decide if Andrew has a type. Wackiness is always close at hand.
As Valentine's Day grows closer the gift getting seems to cause stress for all around. The only one not stressed is Faith. She says it's a stupid holiday, something schemed up by people who have stock in flower shops, candy stores and gift cards.
That's where the story begins.
"No sweat," replies the once Rogue.
"So whatcha getting Will for Valentine's Day. It's tomorrow, ya know?"
Faith swigs down most of the bottle and looks at her friend. "How many times I gotta tell you, I ain't gettin her nothin. "
Buffy rolls her eyes as she flips to her feet, "I won't tell her, I can keep a secret."
"No secret to keep." She finishes off the water and stands back up.
"Faith, you know you can't not get her a present right?" the blonde Slayer is almost incredulous. "She's your girlfriend, been your girlfriend for months."
The other Slayer smiles, "I know she's my girlfriend, B, been wakin up next to every mornin for 8 months, 2 weeks, 6 days... Not sure about the minutes, though." She teases.
Buffy eyes the younger Slayer, "And you're not getting her a present?"
"Nope." She turns and strolls out the door.
The blonde growls in frustration, "Fine, don't tell me! Nobody thinks I can keep a secret," she pouts.

Willow is sitting at her desk working on her laptop, a soft knock and then an open door gets her attention. She looks up to see her Slayer. "Hey you. Work all done for the day?"
Faith walks in and over to her, perching herself on the heavy wooden desk. "All done. Need a shower though," she makes a little face.
The Witch smiles, "Need some help with your hard to reach places?"
Faith smirks, "Wouldn't wanna interrupt no big meetins or nothin."
"Think I can work you in," she grins, though she blushes slightly at her own words.
Faith slides off the desk directly in front of her redhead, "Good, that's-" she wraps her arms around Willow's waist and pulls her tightly against her. "That's good." She lets her lips play across her girl's again and again, before finally easing back. She lets her tongue run along her bottom lip. She then looks into soft, darkening green eyes. "Meet you in say ten minutes? I need to talk to G-man."
"Problem?" Willow seems concerned.
"Nah, just need to let him know about the mornin trainin, how it went, like that," she lies. She needs to talk to Giles but the conversation is more of a personal one
They share another kiss, Faith's hands caressing Willow's face before they finally break apart. "See ya."
Will grins as her Slayer leaves. She begins to download some information onto her laptop, when she finishes a few minutes later, she signs off. Taking it with her she goes toward the door. However before she can get out Buffy appears in front of her. "Hey."
"Where ya heading?" The blonde Slayer asks.
"Home-" a smile plays on her face.
"Will, can we talk a minute?" Her words hold a note of worry.
The redhead looks at her friend, concern evident. "Sure Buffy. Is something wrong?"
She closes the door as she looks at the witch, "It's about Faith, an-and Valentine's Day."
Willow rolls her eyes, "The present thing again? I told you we agreed, no presents."
Buffy pouts, "But it's a gift giving kinda day! You're suppose to show your love by-"
Willow interrupts, "Trust me, we don't need a day for that. In fact, planning on doing it as soon as you stop worrying and I can leave."
Buffy's eyes go wide, "Wil! TMI! There are just some things I don't need spinning around in my head." She blushes.
The redhead laughs as she hugs her friend, "See ya later." She goes out the door with her laptop, as Buffy just stares at her.

The next day, Buffy is standing in the foyer coat in hand and date waiting on the porch. "At least take her to dinner."
"B, would ya get outta here? We're 5x5."
Buffy scowls, "You might be but Willow, she's not... she's... she's well... look at her, she's all sad."
"She is not! Go before one of the baby Slayers mistakes your date for slaying practice."
Buffy growls at her, "You are the most infuriating person I know."
Faith smiles, "Thanks." She pushes her toward the door and Buffy leaves reluctantly. The Rogue closes the door behind her and goes into the living room.
She looks at her redhead and takes in her actions and her posture. "You okay Red?" She asks, a bit uneasy, starting to wonder if Buffy's right and her girl isn't fine.
She smiles at her and walks into her arms, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"Don't wanna go out, get dinner?" She holds her tightly.
"Nope, just wanna hang out here with you. We don't get alone time much here."
"That's for damn sure place is always like a zoo-" as if to prove a point a herd of young Slayers come running down the steps and out the door. It slams behind them.
The witch rolls her eyes. "Think that's the last of them?"
The Slayer listens intently and then nods with a smile, the house silent to her sensitive ears. "The last of'em," she assures.
Willow can't help but smile as she presses her lips to her lover's in a gently kiss that changes almost instantly as tongues come into play, teasing back and forth from one mouth to the other. Finally the Rogue captures the redhead's and sucks on it, moans filling the area before she finally releases it. Both smile and rest their forehead's together. A few minutes to calm ragged breathing then Faith speaks, "I'll get the popcorn ready, you pick a movie?"
Willow bites her bottom lip and then nods, still having trouble forming words. A breathy, "Okay," finally makes it out.

The corn all popped and the movie all picked the couple lie snuggled together on the couch. Faith's back leaned against the corner of the couch and Willow lying against her. The bowl sits next to Willow and both snack out of it as they watch the movie. Faith asks with a smile, "How many times you figure we've watched The Little Mermaid?"
Without thought Willow asks, "Together or separate?"
"Together?" She grabs another handful of popcorn.
"Hmmm... Maybe eight; it's our movie you know." She looks up at her girl before returning her eyes to the screen.
"I know. We were watchin it when you said you'd go out with me the first time."
"You remembered?" Willow looks back a little surprised.
Faith smiles, "Yep. I remember most things that involve you Red."
"Really?" She raises a playful brow.
"Yep really, first time I kissed ya, first time we got bouncy," she wiggles her eyebrows as the redhead blushes.
Willow grabs her and begins to tickle her, catching her off guard. The Slayer finally gets the upper hand rolling her under her, pinning her to the couch. Their eyes meet, "You'll pay for that." Faith says with a mock seriousness that her girl sees right through.
"Ohhh, big bad Slayer," Will teases then bites her bottom lip. "I know different... I remember the first time I told you I loved you."
Faith leans her head down, whispering in her ear. "I remember too, first time anyone ever-" she stops and starts to sit up but the witch holds her tightly.
Willow turns them so she can see her eyes but still hold her close, "Don't want to miss the best part do you?"
Faith shakes her head, "Nah, definitely not. Like it when she babbles about the treasures." She manages a smile.
Willow smiles, "Me too, but that wasn't what I was talking about." She kisses Faith softly, then playfully traces the tip of her tongue alone her Slayer's lips as she pulls back and then leans in again deepening it immediately.
After several minutes a panting Faith pulls back, "What if someone comes in?" She asks with a smirk.
"Guess they'll get a free show." Faith can't stop the smile. "I mean, they're supposed to be gone and-"
Stopping the babble with her lips the kissing continues.

A few hours later, Willow's eyes are on the movie as her hand dips back in the giant bowl for more buttery goodness. She frowns as her hand touches something not popcorn in the bottom of the bowl and she sits up, moving her head from Faith's lap. She drags her eyes to it and slowly pulls out a folded piece of paper, covered in butter. She looks up at Faith who is oblivious to her actions as she is immersed in the action flick. She examines the paper further by turning it and then opening it slowly. It says simply, 'Sorry, couldn't help it.' She frowns confused and turns her eyes to Faith.
Faith is looking at her, hand out and a small diamond ring sitting on the edge of her index finger. A nervous Slayer speaks, "I brought a present," she says as explanation.
Willow nods, "I... Yeah, I see." She is nervous as well and unsure but a smile tries to play on her features.
"So... Wanna get hitched, Red?" Asks the Rogue with a raised brow and a jittery smile.
Willow's smile escapes covering her face. She leans in and kisses her girl soundly.
When they break apart ages later Faith asks, "That a yes?" Her heart soars as her redhead nods. She takes the ring from her finger and slides it onto Willow's.
" I love you," says her redhead.
"Ya keep telling me that-" she smiles as their lips meet again.
