Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5

Brown Eyes Blue
The redhead kisses the lips of her lover as she lowers her to the floor in front of the roaring fire. The fire though hot can't compare to the heat raging through her. As her lips move to the tanned skin of the brunette's neck she smiles at the soft moan it causes. Her hands begin to explore the firm planes of her body. Alabaster fingers against dark skin such a contrast she thinks as her mind races with thoughts as always.

Always-always, her thoughts drift-lips on her shoulder, gentle kisses as her hands touch soft skin, rounded curves and she smiles. She arches against the lips as they move lower and she can't stop the moan that escapes-loud, primal as she feels them encircle her right breast.

As the lips leave the cold steel of the tongue ring caress her skin and she shivers. It trails a path between her breasts to her belly button and she is lost as she pulls the tanned body closer. Her fingers trace the strong muscles of her back as she holds on so close to falling.

Above her blonde hair cascades down soft shoulders as she caresses the redhead. Her hand drops lower still teasing the inside of her thigh- "Please-" the witch moans. Not wanting things to end just yet she does the same to the other side coming so close but never touching her where she needs, wants her to. "Baby-"

Strong fingers caress freckled skin and then stop-the redhead looks up into brown eyes, the love there so strong, their lips meet in an intense kiss as she entangles her fingers in the brunette locks and the game is over. The steel ring strokes her tongue causing her to moan uncontrollably. While she is lost in the sensation the brunette explores her folds with her fingers. As she enters her the redhead cries out and begins to move with her.

The soft fingers set a slow pace driving her closer. She curls her fingers slightly and she feels her tense around them. "So close-" whispers the blonde as she continues the movement leaning down for a kiss. Lips open and close to the rhythm of her fingers.

As the brunette picks up the pace she tries to regulate her breathing- "Look at me-" the redhead forces her eyes open and again they meet love filled brown. "I love you."

"A-always b-baby-" is her breathy reply as she begins to tremble. Her body becomes racked with spasms she can't begin to control the fingers move faster continuing to drive her farther. "O-oh-o- goddess-" She explodes as cries out- "Kennedy!" Her eyes close then she forces them open as she feels the fingers move away.

Her green eyes meet confused blue ones they struggle to slow their breathing, "Will- who's Kennedy," asks Tara struggling to keep tears at bay.

"Tara-I-I don't know." The redhead is just as confused. She tries to pull the soft body to her but the girl doesn't move. Images of the brunette flash through her mind-her smile, her straightforwardness, her body under the redhead's- Willow shakes them away. She puts her face in her hands. More faces-a house full of young girls, a funny looking weapon like an axe with a pointy end-her hair turning white, her words- "And you're a Slayer-take this to Buffy."

"Willow-?"

"Something's not right." Tears fall.

"We'll figure it out." She pulls the redhead into her arms-comforting her.

Clouded Vision
Willow is sitting on the bench in the back yard. She is staring up at the stars. Her face is still wet with tears that she can't seem to control. As they continue to fall Tara walks out and over to her. She wraps her redhead in a blanket and holds her tightly. The blonde Wicca doesn't speak she just looks at the stars with her girl.

After what seems hours but is actually just minutes the confused witch speaks softly, "I'm sorry." Tara presses her lips to the back of her head. "I would never-" she stops but turns in Tara's arms and puts her hand on the blonde's cheek, she tries again, "Never-only you." She looks down.

Tara touches her chin, lifts her head and their eyes meet. Concerned blue stare into sad, tear-filled green. "I know-" She kisses her lips softly and then leans her forehead against her soul mates. "I know." The redhead shivers as the cool night air finally chills her. "Let's get you back in bed-under nice warm covers. Willow's tears begin to fall again. "Awe-Sweetie-shhhh." She tightens her hold on the woman.

"I'm sorry-" are the sad confused words of her witch. The blonde cries now too.

In bed the next morning, just before sunrise, the blonde lays awake protectively spooned around her witch. She mumbles but doesn't wake up. Tara presses her lips to her hair and worries.

Later that morning Tara is fixing breakfast-heart shaped pancakes, her redhead's favorite. Willow comes down the stairs still in her pajamas. "Hey-" she says softly as she walks over to Tara. She puts her arms around her.

"Morning-" she kisses her softly on the lips then smiles, "Hungry?-I made your favorite." Willow forces a smile them tries to stop a yawn but doesn't succeed. "Did you sleep any?"

"A little-"

"Want to crawl back in bed-I'll bring breakfast up to you?"

"I have class-"

"It wouldn't hurt to miss just one," says Tara concerned.

"I'm okay-it was just weird. You know?" She sits at the table and looks up at her girl.

"Yeah-guess it would be." She sets two plates on the table and then sits across from Willow. "Want to tell me the rest of it?"

"You sure you want to hear it?-I mean I'd understand if you didn't."

"Will-if talking will help-then talk to me."

Willow nods, "I was-we were-" she blushes slightly.

The blonde smiles, "Yeah-I got that part."

"Right-" the redhead weighs her words not sure how to explain-how to tell the woman she loves more than life that she was with someone else-

"But it wasn't me-was it that you saw, felt?"

"No-it was.-Then it wasn't. It was like-" she stops and fights to find words- "It was like-" again she stops.

"A threesome?" volunteers Tara as she tries not to blush.

"No-" Willow blushes then smiles, "I've never but no-I don't think so-. It was like changing channels on the television-back and forth-"

"Magic maybe-someone trying to- I don't know, control our thoughts?"

"Maybe-"

"But?"

"It seemed real." As she says the words she looks away not wanting to see the hurt in Tara's eyes and know she caused the pain.

Tara swallows hard and fights to stay composed, "What else did you see?"

"This house filled with teenaged girls-they were so scared-everyone was scared."

Tara takes her hand and their fingers lace together. "Do you know why?"

Willow shakes her head- "No-but I feel like I should. Something isn't right I can feel it." Her eyes meet Tara's, "It's bad."

"We should tell Buffy-"says Tara.

"Tell her what?"

"That we were- and-you-" she stops and an embarrassed smile crosses her face. "We can skip that part just tell her you have a bad feeling or we could do some research."

"Where would we start?"

"We have a name-Kennedy, we start there."

"I don't know baby-I-"

"If she's real, she's in trouble Will."

"Okay-"

"Okay." Tara leans forward and kisses her lips. "Meet you at the Magic Box after class?"

Willow nods- "I love you-"

Tara smiles, "I know-and I love you. Now eat your breakfast." The redhead does as she is told.

That night at the Magic Box Willow is frustrated. She closes the computer-Tara looks at her. "There's just too many-"

"Try the DMV."

"Drivers' licenses-I didn't think-" she kisses the blonde as she opens the laptop and types again.

She smiles, "You're welcome. Willow smiles at her then goes back to the keyboard.

The door opens and Buffy walks in. "Hey guys-"

"Hey-"says Tara. Willow doesn't look up. Buffy sits down beside the blonde Wicca. "I thought you were going out tonight?"

"Fell through-so I decided I'd hang out here till time to patrol. Are you researching?"

The hacker looks up at her friend- "Ah-" she looks at Tara. "DMV records."

"Do I want to know why?"

"Maybe later-" says Willow as she looks back to the screen. She flips through picture after picture but without any luck.

Buffy watches unsure then looks at Tara, "So want to take a break and get a mocha?" Willow continues to work without even looking up.

Tara answers, "She's had one too many already."

Buffy nods, "Okay-then if you don't need my help I think I'll workout a little." Without waiting for an answer she goes to the training room in the back of the store.

An hour later Willow looks up from the screen, her eyes meet Tara's. The blonde speaks, "You found her?"

"Yeah-Kennedy Langdon. She lives in Boston, she's 16-no what's today?"

"Ah-the Friday the fifth-"

"She turned seventeen today."

"So what now-now that we know she's real?"

The redhead stands, "We tell Buffy-" she takes Tara's hand and they walk toward the training room.

The three of them sit at the table, Buffy looks unsure- "Tell me again about the weapon Will-"

"It isn't really clear-it's like an axe only not, with a stake like thing on one end."

"And you gave it to this girl and told her to take it to me."

"Pretty much-"says Willow. Tara glances at her catching her have truth and looks at the Slayer.

"I'll call Giles see if he knows what this thing is-"

"And the girl?" asks Tara.

"Is she in danger?"

"I can't be sure-"

"Let's see what Giles thinks." Willow nods and Buffy goes to the phone.

Tara's eyes meet Willow's- "What aren't you telling her?"

"She's a Slayer-"

"Does that mean Faith-"

"Angel would have called-wouldn't he?"

Late that night Willow is pacing in the living room. She is carrying the phone, finally she dials, "Angel-it's Willow-ah Buffy?- No she's good. I- I had a really weird dream, not a dream actually well that part doesn't matter. Angel is Faith okay?" She listens to him and nods- "You saw her yesterday-okay then all I needed, thanks." Silence again while she listens- "I'll tell her. Night." She sits on the couch and stares at the computer screen Kennedy's DMV picture is there. "Who are you?-What does this mean?"

Tara comes down the stairs and sits beside her, "Faith okay?"

"Yeah-" she stops and smiles. "How did you know I called?"

"I know you-it's been a long day, come to bed."

"I can't sleep-my head is just, it's too noisey."

"I can stop that." She bites her bottom lip and smiles seductively at the redhead. She leans forward and kisses her. She pulls out of the kiss and their eyes meet.

Willow smiles as she leans in and their lips meet again. The kiss intensifies as their lips open and close against each other in a steady rhythm. Tara pulls back needing air- out of breath she speaks, "W-we should move this up stairs." She stands and takes the witch's hand.

Their eyes meet, "I need to research-find out about the weapon." She stands and puts her arms around her girl then kisses her again chastely. "Okay?"

"Okay-want help?"

"Yeah- I do." She kisses her again then walks across the room and picks up two old texts. She walks back and hands one to Tara- "Try Indian-maybe Incan-maybe older I'm not sure." They both sit back down and begin to read.

Hours later they are asleep on the couch. Willow's head rests on Tara's shoulder their arms encircle each other. The witch begins to dream- the scenes are split-unfocused. First she sees men in dark robes there are maybe ten fighting an older man. When she is able to see the faces she realizes they have no eyes- only Xs. The man falls injured by the knives but he shouts a warning- "Run Kennedy!-"

She sees Kennedy feels her pain-watches as the man dies. The young woman screams- "No!"-She runs at the men and she fights-out numbered she runs as tears stream down her face.

Willow sits up-her breathing hard as her heart races. She tries to focus in the dark room. She feels soft hands touch her shoulder. "Sweetie?" Tara's voice it was a dream-only a dream. Willow tries to calm down. The light comes on and her eyes meet concerned blue- "Bad dream?"

"They killed him?"

"Killed who Will?"

"Ah-her dad-or maybe her Watcher-I don't know. I just know he's dead." She fights tears.

"Relax-take a deep breath." She does as Tara asks. "Better?"

"Yeah-we have to warn her-him."

"We will, we'll call soon as we talk to Buffy, okay?"

"Okay-okay." She holds on to Tara. The blonde lowers them back to the couch and she kisses her forehead. Willow looks into her eyes. "I don't understand what's happening to me-why I'm seeing this-"

"Shhhhh-tomorrow, we'll figure it out tomorrow. You've gotta sleep Will."

"I'm scared Tara-"

"I'll be right here."

"Promise?"

"Always Sweetie-always."

Seeing
Buffy listens as Willow tells her the latest dream. The Slayer seems nervous as she picks up a book from the research table. "The guys Willow-did they look like this?" She opens the book and hands it to the redhead.

"That's them-" she looks at Tara as the tears fall- "God it's real-"

Tara holds her as she continues to cry but she looks at the Slayer, "Who are they?"

"They're called Bringers for short-the muscle for the First."

"First what?" asks the blonde.

"Evil-" is Buffy's one word answer. "I need to call Giles." She nods as Buffy leaves the table.

Willow pulls herself together and looks at Tara- Tara kisses her forehead. "Let's look for more on these Bringer guys." The redhead nods and stands she walks to the shelves. As she reads titles she feels arms encircle her. She leans into Tara's body- "We'll figure this out." She kisses her shoulder.

"I know-" is Willow's soft but not fully believing answer.

Buffy walks back to them, "He coming as soon as he can get a flight."

"So it's bad?" Willow asks.

"Yeah-remember after Angel came back from Hell-it was the First that tried to get him to kill himself.-If the First is involved then it's big time."

"What now?"

"Research-let's find everything we can on the Bringers and the First." The Slayer moves to the shelves as well.

Hours later now with Xander, Anya and Dawn there too, the research continues. Willow slams the book closed- "This is pointless!"

Xander trying to ease the tension jokes, "What?- You saying books are bad-I mean I've been trying to convince of that since grade school."

She looks at him and forces a smile- "Someday I'll listen to you-"

"And you should my friend. Like maybe now when I say you and I should bail-get some ice cream or a mocha?"

She looks toward Tara who smiles and nods, "I won't be gone long-" she stands and walks to her Wicca.

The blonde puts her arms around her, "Okay-" their lips meet in a soft kiss. As the redhead pulls away she gets another flash-an image of Kennedy-the young brunette is hurt-blood coming from her head. Willow shakes it away. "Sweetie?"

"I'm okay-" she leaves without further explanation. Tara looks concerned.

"She saw something else-?" Asks Buffy and Tara nods. "Any idea why she can see things?"

"Ah-maybe a c-connection or a-ah something new w-with the magicks- I don't know."

Buffy notices the Wicca's struggle with words and realizes she is honestly scared for Willow. "Is she okay?" Tara shakes her head and tears start to fall. Buffy walks to her and wraps her arms around her.

Anya stands, "I need to go-"

"Anya there's research to do-" says Dawn.

"I'll be back." She leaves.

Willow and Xander are sitting at a table in the Expresso Pump. Willow is staring into the mocha which hasn't been touched. Xander looks worried, "Talk to me Will-"

She speaks without looking up- "This girl-Kennedy-"

"She's in trouble-I get that."

"No-there's more that the others don't know-except Tara." He listens patiently giving her time to choose her words. "The first time I saw her-I wasn't asleep."

"So she was here?"

"No-it's hard to explain." Her eyes meet Xander's for the first time since they left the Magic Box. "Tara and I were-we-" she blushes slightly and Xander nods his understanding. She looks away as she continues, "Only when I-it was her name I-" she stops as tears fall. His hand touches hers and she leans into him as he hugs her. "It doesn't make sense-I would never cheat on Tara."

"She knows that-everybody knows you're a one woman kinda girl."

"Yeah-so if I was with Kennedy-cause I was, where was Tara?"

For the first time he understands her tears. "Maybe you had a fight and you met this girl-and you know- but then you worked things out with Tara."

"I don't 'you know' with just anyone-" He nods. "I'm scared-I can't lose Tara, Xander-I can't."

"You won't-we'll figure this out, I promise." She nods as he tightens his hold on her.

Anya is standing in a dimly lit demon bar. She is talking to the bartender, "I'm looking for Torren-have you seen him?"

"Nope-"

"I get it-that's a yes but you want me to give you my hard earned money? Well I won't-I'll just tell the Slayer you are planning something really bad and she'll-" she stops as she sees the demon she wanted to find. "Lucky for you-" She walks toward the demon. "Torren?"

He turns to face her-his yellow eyes staring at her. "Anyanka?" He smiles. "It's been too long-"

"It has-Torren I need a favor."

"Anything, I owe you my life."

"Actually you do-I have a friend-well, she's a friends friend anyway-she's a powerful witch-"

"The Slayer's witch I know of her- she is more powerful them you realize. She can see the future-maybe even change it. It is prophesied."

"Where can I find it?"

"I haven't read the actual text-just heard the underworld gossip. Sorry-"

"No-this is good-thank you."

"Now we are even."

"We are-" She leaves and two demons follow her from the bar.

As she nears the Magic Box the demons stop her path- "You were asking about the witch?" She nods unsure. "We know where you can find the prophecy."

"That's great-where?"

"Not so fast-we want cash-five hundred dollars."

"Five hundred? You have got to be kidding-no-"

"Four hundred?" He counters.

Buffy steps from behind them- "How about you tell us what we need and I let you leave with all your parts?"

"Leave-yes, that's good." They try to walk away. "Not yet-the text?"

"The Westholt files-"

"How do you find them?"

"That's all we know-" Buffy steps out of their way and they run into the night.

Buffy looks at Anya, "Are you okay?"

"Fine-good, now let's find those papers."

"For someone who isn't Willow's biggest fan you put yourself on the line-"

"Nothing's stopping my wedding-upset Willow equals upset Xander besides the bridesmaid dress has already been fitted." She walks away and Buffy smiles shaking her head.

Inside the Magic Box Tara hangs up the phone as Anya walks inside. Dawn starts down from the stacks as Buffy walks in- She sees her sister, "Stay-" the teenager stops. "Look for a book or papers called the Westholt files." She goes back to the books.

Tara walks to the computer and starts to type- "Westholt?"

Anya fills in the blanks, "It's a prophecy-could involve Willow."

Xander and Willow walk in- "A prophecy?" asks the redhead.

"Anya talked to a demon-"

"Way to go An-" Xander hugs her.

Willow moves to sit beside Tara, the blonde Wicca looks up at her, "I'm doing a general search of any prophecy involving witches." Willow nods as the computer searches.

Hours later the gang is still at work. Willow has moved to the beanbag in the corner and is reading a text on prophecies-Tara is sleeping her head on her girl's lap. Willow looks down at her and she gently touches her face with her fingers. "I love you-" Tara's eyes open to see her redhead's tears.

"It's okay sweetie-"she sits up and hugs her.

"I'm scared-"

"I know-I wish I could make it all go away." She kisses her softly on the lips. As she pulls out of the kiss she takes the book from her hands. "Let me finish with this-you try to sleep, just a little."

"You'll be here when I wake up?"

"Yeah-" she kisses her again.

She leans her forehead against the blonde's- "Do leave me-" her hands go to her Wicca's face.

"Never-" assures the blonde as her hands cup the redhead's face as well.

"No matter what?" she asks as tears fall.

"No matter what."

Later the redhead is finally asleep-Buffy walks toward the beanbag- "We got something."

"Let her sleep-" Tara carefully moves from under her and follows Buffy back to the table.

She puts the book in front of her and the Wicca starts to read, "Just the short version? I can't focus on anything but her." She looks back to the sleeping witch.

"It's called the gift of sight-"

Willow is sleeping but her mind is anything but still. She sees herself with Tara-they have been making love. They laugh about finally putting on clothes. As Willow goes to the dresser the blonde looks out the window- then before she can react she hears a shot, sees the blood on the blonde and falls to her knees beside her. "Tara!-No!" Willow opens her eyes terrified. She looks around the shop and sees the blonde coming toward her.

"What happened?"

"You promised-you promised you wouldn't leave me." The redhead is hysterical as tears fall.

Tara hugs her- "I didn't sweetie I was just across the room. Buffy found something-" she stops as she realizes the girl isn't listening. "Will-look at me-" the blonde raises her eyes so they meet. "What happened?"

"Nothing-Unhuh-can't talk about it- No-" she shakes her head and pulls away from Tara. She tries to leave but Buffy stops her. "Let go of me-" a strong energy beam knocks the Slayer away and Willow goes out the door.

"Buffy-"

"I'll get her-just try to find Xander tell him we need him here." Dawn nods and goes to the phone.

Once outside she starts to run- a figure from the shadows follows her.

Crying the Blues
The figure continues to follow the redhead at a safe distance. He watches her as she starts through the park. As a vamp steps out in front of her he moves between them. "Sorry mate this one's mine," Spike's accent fills the air. Without a fight the young vampire leaves to find another victim. Willow turns to face the blonde vamp- "It's not like you Red-where's the rest of the Scoobies?"

"Look Spike-I don't-" she starts to walk away.

He takes her by the arm- "I'm not going to let you be a happy meal for some beastie. Let me walk you wherever you're going."

She starts to cry- "I just need to think-"

"You can stay at my place if you want."

"Yeah-that would be good-okay."

"Good-I'll get you tucked in safe and sound and then let the Slayer know you're all right."

"No-"

"I won't tell her where you are pet if you don't want, but it's not fair to let them worry."

"I guess," they start to walk toward the crept.

Spike walks into the Magic Box to find the group researching and worrying. Tara looks his way when the door opens then back to the book. "She's okay-wanted you to know."

"Where is she?" Tara fights tears.

"She's safe pet-she just needs a bit of time-"

Tara nods, "Tell her I-" her words fade as she looks at the vampire.

"I'll tell her love."

He turns and starts away but stops when he hears Buffy's words, "She's in danger there's a prophecy. Watch out for her."

"It's done-no worries." He leaves.

At the crept Willow is sleeping a fitful sleep. Her mind is again toying with her. She lies in bed with Kennedy. The brunette is kissing her softly. Hands caress her body through a layer of clothes, she pulls back from the kiss- "I can't, it's too soon-" whispers the redhead.

"I get that-I can do slow, as slow as you need."

"I'm sorry," her forehead rests on Kennedy's. The young would be Slayer holds her tightly against her.

She wakes up to find Spike's blue eyes staring down at her, "Bad dream?"

"I'm okay-" "Of course you are. Didn't say you weren't." He sits beside her on the bed. "She's worried you know-Tara."

Willow sits up and he thinks she is going to bolt, but instead she hugs him and tears start to fall. "She's gonna die and it's my fault."

"How do you figure love?"

"The dreams-she dies in my arms if I'm gone it can't happen."

"You know-if the fates see it as so it will happen whether you're there of not. The situation may be different put the outcome will be the same." She sobs against his chest. "I'm sorry-"

"There has to be a way," her sad tear-stained eyes meet his.

"Tell me about the prophecy."

"I don't know anything-just-" she continues to cry.

"Why don't you try to rest-"

"No-" she interrupts, "the dreams." She shakes her head.

"I'll keep the dreams away."

"How?"

"Trust me?" To his surprise she nods. "Lie down," she follows his directions.

The next morning Willow awakes refreshed. She looks around and sees the blonde vampire sitting in a chair next to the bed. Her eyes meet his and he smiles. "Sleep okay?"

"Yes-thank you."

"Then I think it's time we talk with the others." She shakes her head. "I was right about the sleep."

"Yeah but I can't tell her-"

"That can wait-but they need to know everything else."

She slowly stands and he does as well. "I'll meet you there unless-"

"I don't mind the tunnels." He nods and they start to the Magic Box.

At the Magic Box the gang is rereading the text on the prophecy. Tara is standing at the window and turns when she hears Xander speak, "Will are you okay?"

The redhead nods and walks towards Tara. They hug tightly and the blonde kisses her lips. "I'm sorry-" Willow starts but she is stopped by fingers gently touching her lips.

"You're okay?"

"The dreams-but Spike, he did something and they stopped so I slept better."

"That's good-talk to me Will-"

"Later I promise what do we know about the prophecy?" She looks to Giles.

"It's called the 'Gift of Sight'-it is written that there will be a Slayer like no other and her witch will be strong. The Slayer and her witch will stop prophecies and save humanity as we know it."

"Stop prophecies?" Giles nods. "Can they stop what is fated?"

"It's possible-" he states. She seems to be relieved.

"So this 'Gift' why now? Why the weird dreams? Am I seeing the future?"

"It would appear."

"Then Kennedy's watcher is alive?"

"Yes-" answers Buffy, "and he's been warned to step up her training and add some security."

"That's good-" Tara slips her arms around her redhead from behind. She relaxes into her embrace. As Tara places a soft kiss behind her ear she stifles a moan.

Buffy smiles at the warmth of the witches and looks to Tara, "Take her home, you both should rest."

"I need to tell you about the dreams."

"It can wait-go home," tries the Slayer again.

"I'm not tired-" assures Willow.

Tara, not taking no for an answer, playfully pulls her toward the door. She whispers in her ear, "We don't have to sleep." Her eyes meet Tara's and she sees the desire there. Willingly she leaves the shop.

"What else do you know?" asks Spike.

"Ever heard of the First?"

"As in Evil?"

"That would be the one and the same."

"Pretty sure he's pure evil, the thing that makes evil. Personally never met him but I knew a bloke once who said he had. Said you could put your hand right through him."

"How-?"

"Didn't ask just figured he had had one too many."

"He's not corporeal?"

"If that means you can touch him and he can touch you, then I think it's a no mate."

Giles goes through a stack of books until he finds the one he wants. Buffy watches him and sees his face change. "Giles talk to me-"

"If we can't touch him, then you can't kill him."

"That's a given-you can't just kill evil-" says Spike.

"I could kill you-and you're evil," says Xander.

"Evil-thanks, but you couldn't kill me."

"I could-so why can't I kill it?" asks the Slayer.

"It doesn't have a body per say-" adds Giles looking up from the book. All eyes fall on him.

At the Summers' house Willow and Tara are kissing as they disrobe each other. The witches crawl into bed without losing contact with the other's lips. As hands begin to gently explore bodies the redhead pulls back. Tara snuggles beside her, her head resting on her chest. "What's wrong Will?"

Tears start to form, "I love you Tara-"

The blonde Wicca turns so she can see her redhead's face, "I know-tell me about the other dream sweetie."

"No other dream-" Willow looks away her hand trails down her blonde's shoulder.

"You never could lie-" she moves up the witch's body and kisses her lips softly. "I died didn't I?"

Willow's tears finally fall as she wraps her arms around the woman she loves with all her heart and holds on tightly.

Tara leans her forehead against her redhead's and presses her lips to Willow's. "It's okay-just love me Will-"

The kiss intensifies as she opens and closes her lips against Tara's. She nips playfully but stops as she presses into her love's open mouth explore each and every stop she can reach. Tara moans loudly as she turns, pulling the lighter witch on top of her. The redhead continues to devour the blonde's mouth as she settles between her legs. They break apart for air-lungs struggle to fill, unfill, and fill again. "Goddess-" whispers Tara. "I need you-" without a word the redhead begins to kiss a slow path down her body. As she reaches her breasts she draws one into her mouth and Tara moans and moves beneath her creating more contact. Caught off guard Willow cries out too. The blonde is quickly getting lost in the throws of passion. "Please sweetie?"

Her kisses move down slowly to her belly button and Willow plays inside with her tongue, Tara moans- "Like that baby?"

"Love that-" pants Tara. "A-and that-" she adds as Willow kisses even lower.

Later both woman are still breathing with difficulty-while hands explore again, "Goddess!" cries Willow as Tara enters her wetness again and begins to pump in and out quickly- "I-baby-I-" she explodes again and cries as she falls. Tara pulls her to her tightly her fingers moving gently now. The redhead's body trembles as she begins to slowly build her up again. "Tara-"

"Too much baby?" she starts to remove her fingers but Willow doesn't allow it.

"Never too much," Tara resumes her rhythm. Willow arches into her touch she forces her eyes open and they meet Tara's. "I-I love you-always you."

"Always-" assures Tara as she begins to cry. The thoughts of losing Willow too much to handle.

In the Hamptons a teenager trains with her watcher. She is pounding a punching bag, her small frame seems out of place but the knowing eye can see her strength. "Kennedy you must stay focused."

"Right-just I want to know what the guy said-you're not telling me something."

"You'll know when it's time," states the man.

"When you decide?" She seems a little angry.

"No-your actions will decide it."

"So when you think I'm responsible?" He nods.

"I get that-what do I have to do to prove it to you?"

"You could start by going to school-"

"School-okay, what else?"

"Following curfew-"

"Curfew-okay, but can't you talk to him-nobody my age has to be home by ten."

"I'll see what I can do."

"I will to-the being responsible thing."

"Good-now let's get back to work." She nods and turns her attention back to the bag.

Star Light Star Bright
Willow and Tara are lying on a blanket in the backyard. They hold hands and stare into the night sky. "Remember the first time we did this?"

"I remember," says Willow her voice soft-quiet. "We talked about the constellations and then-" she turns to look into Tara's eyes, "Then we made love," she leans in and kisses her.

"Our first time-" Tara raises an eyebrow playfully- "You were amazing."

"I was terrified," admits the redhead, "afraid I wouldn't know what to do-I wanted it to be prefect for you."

"It was-is-always." She kisses her again.

In the Hamptons Kennedy's head is lying on her desk she is staring at the star chart in her astrology class. Bored with the lecture she starts to daydream. She is lying on a blanket-a tall blonde girl at her side looking up at the sky. The bell rings and startles her back to the real world. She leaves quickly, heading to the snack machine. She puts in money then hears her name.

"Kennedy!"

She turns to face the voice and smiles, "Hey Jess-" the blonde walks to her and puts an arm around her.

"Missed you-"

Kennedy gets her chips, "I missed you too-" she offers one to the girl.

"Nah-I'm headed for burgers, skip Lit and come with me?"

"I'd love to but I really need to go-I made a promise."

"Keeping promises, that's important."

"I'm getting' that, I think- finally." She takes the girl's hand. Jessica smiles, "Meet me after school?"

"Probably not coming back-"

"You're so bad-" teases Kennedy.

"That's not what you were saying last weekend," she smirks as she raises an eyebrow.

Kennedy rolls her eyes, "Go-"

"See you at the party tonight-7:00 my place?"

"I'll be there-see yaw," assures Kennedy. Jessica lets go of her hand and walks away. The young Slayer to be watches her girlfriend's butt till she's out of sight.

At the party the music is loud and the booze is plentiful. Kennedy and Jessica are sitting in the corner next to each other on a love seat. "So how was Lit-"

"Boring-how could it not be? I hate to read-"

"Lunch was great, then I came home and took a nap."

"Fine rub it in-sometimes I hate you-" she smiles playfully as her lips meet Jessica's in a soft kiss.

"You're serious about the new leaf aren't you?"

"Yeah-"

"Trying to grow up on me?" Asks the blonde.

"Trying-"

"Good for you-" they kiss again. As Kennedy pulls out of the kiss Jessica leans close and whispers in her ear. Kennedy smiles and nods as they stand hand-in-hand, joining the others and start to dance. The music changes to a slow song and the teenagers hold each other close. Kennedy's head rests on the older girl's shoulder. Jessica's arms encircle her while one hand caresses her lower back. As the song plays the young potential's eyes close, Jessica's hand moves still lower and rests on her butt. Kennedy looks up-her eyes meeting the blonde's. They kiss softly though it intensifies quickly. Kennedy's hands begin to do some exploring of their own. Jessica kisses her neck, then behind her ear-creating a low moan. "My room?" whispers the girl.

"Yeah-your room-now's good-" her face is flushed and Jessica smiles as she kisses her again.

A few minutes later the teenagers enter the bedroom, lips still opening and closing against lips while hands work to remove clothes. "Off now-" pleads Kennedy her voice breathy and her eyes full of need.

"Trying," replies Jess as their lips meet again.

Finally undressed they fall side by side onto the bed. Hands caress and tease, both girls moan. Kennedy begins to kiss the blonde's neck but doesn't tarry long as she starts a path down her girlfriend's body. She moves quickly-one destination on her mind but Jessica's hands stop her descent. She then roll the petite brunette under her and pants, words a struggle- "S-slow ba-baby-slow. She kisses Kennedy's lips and then down her jaw line. She then nibbles playfully on her ear. She smiles at the loud moan it produces. "Like that?"

"Lo-love that-" Kennedy manages to say as she closes her eyes and lets the blonde take her away.

Hours later Kennedy walks into her house. As she goes toward the kitchen for a snack she hears her dad in his study. She taps on the open door and he looks up from his paperwork, "I'm getting a snack, want one Daddy?"

"No thank you." He looks at the clock and is surprised to see that it is 10:53- he smiles, "You're early?"

"I could go back outside, wait on the porch till 11:01 if you want?" she smiles too.

"Night Kennedy."

"Night." She continues to the kitchen.

In Sunnydale Willow still can't sleep a full night without dreams or nightmares or both. Tara is constantly trying to comfort the Wicca and at the same time deal with the knowledge that she is to die.

After the latest nightmare Willow lies wrapped in Tara's arms. The blonde strokes her hair and whispers in her ear as she rocks her gently. The redhead holds her tightly and tears fall, "Tara I don't want this-the dreams this 'Gift'-can't I send it back like a bad present?"

"I don't think so sweetie. Prophecies don't come with a return policy," she quips trying to lighten the mood.

"They should," whines the redhead, "cause it's scary and mean and I don't like it one bit-" she almost in full Willowbabble when Tara presses a kiss to her forehead.

"I know-" she whispers as she pulls back. "I know-just shhh-okay?" She kisses her lips. "Try not to think about it."

"It's so hard-"

"Why don't we go get mochas and muffins?"

"Mochas?" Willow's eyes light up. Tara's plan had worked-the distraction would be temporary but at least it was a distraction. The blonde nods. "Can we get two?"

"If you want-" before she can continue the redhead is out of bed and searching for discarded clothes. As the Wicca watches her lover she can't help but smile.

Buffy and Giles are talking at the Magic Box. Buffy seems unconvinced. "I really can't kill it?"

"I'm afraid not-maybe slow it down, turn it back-if we're lucky."

"Any idea how?" asks the Slayer.

"I'm certain that Willow's dreams hold the key-she just has to remember them-and we have to sort out what is important."

"And put them in some kind of order," Buffy adds. The door opens and Willow and Tara walk in. Buffy notices that the redhead seems to be relaxed for the first time in weeks. The two Wiccas sit down at the table with the others. "Good morning?"

"Mocha overdose," clarifies Tara, her fingers are still laced with her girl's.

Willow is smiling, "I won't sleep for a week-so, no more bad dreams!" She looks at her blonde, "Only Tara snuggles-"

Buffy forces a smile, "Sounds great Will-" her eyes meet Tara's and immediately the Wicca senses a problem.

The Slayer looks at her Watcher- he speaks, "Willow-"

"That's me," comes her hyper reply.

"Could you assist me with returning these texts to their places?"

"I can try." They both stand and leave, with the books in hand.

"What's wrong?" Tara asks.

"To stop the First-to have any chance we need her to dream." Their eyes meet.

"You know they're tearing her apart-"

"If there was any other way-" Buffy starts but Tara interrupts her.

"I'm sorry-it's just." There is a pause and then a sigh from the Wicca, "I know you wouldn't if-I'll see if I can wear her out."

"Sounds fun-" Buffy raises a playful eyebrow.

Tara blushes, "Not like that."

"Of course not," the Slayer smiles. Before the teasing can continue Giles and Willow rejoin them.

Willow sits on Tara's lap and kisses her softly, "Can we go to the park?"

"Picnic lunch sounds fun," Tara agrees.

"Goody-" claps the redhead as she kisses her girl again. Giles begins to clean his glasses.

Willow and Tara are in the park at the swings. Willow is swinging high in the air as Tara watches. Without warning the redhead jumps out and to the ground. She grabs Tara's hand and she half drags her to the slide. "Ride with me?" Willow's eyes meet her girl's.

"Will-"

"Please?" She gives a half pout. Tara rolls her eyes and the redhead smiles, knowing she has won. Willow skips to the swing with Tara following her. The follows her witch up the steps and sits down behind her-her arms encircle the smaller woman.

"You're sure about this?"

"It'll be fun-" she pushes off and they slide toward the bottom. Once there Willow laughs as they fall to the ground in a heap. "See," she looks up at the somewhat unhappy blonde. "Fun-Can we go again?"

"No-" Tara stands and dusts off her backside. "I have a better idea."

"More mochas?"

"Sadly no-but you'll like it, trust me."

"Okay-" Willow takes her hand and they start for the park exit.

Later they are strolling through an old vintage bookstore on the outskirts of town. "How did you find this place," asks the redhead her eyes light up as she looks around at the stacks and stacks of books.

"I did some checking around on the Internet."

"Let's go-" she begins to move through the rows slowly, her fingers laced tightly with her lover's.

Hours later a much more settle Willow is carrying a stack of books, "Now where?"

"Hungry?" Willow shakes her head. "Then just one more place." They go to the car.

"Tell me-"

"It's a secret."

"Meanie-" teases the curious redhead. Tara leans in and kisses her lips softly. "Okay not so much a meanie." She smiles.

At the amphitheater there is a group playing. The music is soft and soothing. "Wow-they're good." Willow smiles at Tara- "And you are amazing."

She smirks slightly, "You haven't seen anything yet-" she raises her eyebrow suggestively. "Wait till I get you home."

Willow bites her bottom lip as her eyes meet Tara's, "Promise?"

"Definitely," she leans in and kisses her softly. She cuddles against the girl as the band continues to play.

The house is dark as the wiccas return home. Impatiently they pull at clothes as they kiss and move toward the stairs. They finally manage to get to their bedroom and the last off their clothes hit the floor. As they fall on to the bed Tara rolls the redhead under her and begins to kiss a path down her neck. Willow's hands tangle in blonde hair as Tara moves down her body. Soon the redhead is breathless and moaning as Tara's mouth latches to her breast and her fingers find her wet and needy. The blonde sets a torrid place and after only a few minutes Willow begins to tremble beneath her. "Goddess-" cries the Wicca. "So close-" Tara mouth moves lower and her fingers faster until Willow screams out her release. She stills her fingers for just an instant to let her calm slightly but as her green eyes open to meet blue she starts again. "Yes-Tara-I-" she squeezes her eyes tight and lets herself go.

Later the couple is in a bubble bath. Willow is sitting between the blonde's legs her back resting against her chest. "Feels nice-" says the redhead softly.

"Tired?"

"Not really-you?"

"I'm good." She presses a kiss to the redhead's shoulder.

"Better then good-" She turns just enough to kiss her lips and she gasps as she feels Tara's hands on her breasts. She leans her head back against the blonde's shoulder. "Mmmm-" Tara's left hand slips lower and she smiles as she feels the muscles of her girl's stomach quiver.

"Okay?" asks the blonde as her hand explores soft folds.

"Always-" her eyes closes as Tara moves slowly, teasing against her.

Finally Tara and Willow are lying on a blanket under the stars. Again they are making love-Willow cries out and trembles as Tara holds her close. Calming her soothing her back down. "I got you-"

As the redhead is able to function she yawns, "Tired-"

"Sleep sweetie-"

"Bad dreams-"

"I'll be right here when you wake up and you'll be safe," assures the blonde.

"I love you-" she struggles to keep her eyes open.

"I love you-sleep." She turns and spoons her girl to her body, her arms holding her protectively. She too relaxes as she feels Willow's breathing change and realizes that she is already asleep. "I'm sorry-I wish there was something I could do-a way it could be me instead."

Hours later under the stars the redhead starts to dream. This time the details are more vivid. She sees a creature, and in her mind senses that it is a vampire-older, different but the same. She watches helpless as it hurts Buffy-her body is beaten, broken and bleeding. Tara is awaken by her redhead's mumbling and then words- "Buffy-no!-" Tara fights the urge to wake her. Back inside Willow's dreams the scene has changed. She sees herself and a group of others behind a force field she has produced.

She hears Kennedy's words- "It's hurting her-" and they run as the field crumbles.

Next Buffy is again fighting the strange vampire-this time she defeats it turning it to dust. Though it still hurts her it isn't as bad- the redhead hears her words, "In the end, they're dust like all the rest." The words echo as Willow fights to wake up.

Her frightened green eyes meet Tara's soft blue- "Should we call Buffy?" Willow nods and moves into the blonde's arms as she picks up the phone.
